Hi,
Does anyone know if the HTC player supports AVRCP and if so how do you set it up?
I have an I-Tech Clip R35 that works great with media player but i prefer the embedded HTC player.
Cheers.
yes it does! you only need to start your favorit playinf software ... you dont need to setup any thing!!
Are you talking about A2DP (which the HTC player does fine) or AVCRP (stop, start, forward, back, etc. controls) That the HTC player doesn't seem to be able to do?

Strange ... mine works fine - both with my old Moto S9 and the Jabra BT620s. A2DP works fine, AVRCP for play/pause/next/prev all works perfectly.
Never (or rarely) use windows media player.
Lol, the only time it doesn't work is when I've left the Moto HS820 on in the car and it won't allow two headsets connected at once
cool, looks like i need to have another play, cheers.

Hello PPL,
i dont usually post in the forum but iv got some info for those cookers out there. Got my Touch pro yesterday, been playing around with it. Found some bits with the standard HTC rom Version 1.90.405.1 Radio 1.02.25.19
Wifi- Works fine but gets very warm at top of device (posible power usage problem,Radio)
Bluetooth A2DP- had to change bit rate from 44100 to 48000 (through Adv config)
FMRADIO- works fine but will not feed radio stations through bluetooth headset. Only to wired headset.
TF3D- can be sluggish.... hope you guys can speed things up out there.
Voice Call record-any chance of this in upcoming roms. have heard this is possible on device
Graphic equalizer- any chance this can be modified for Bluetooth Headset.
Landscape mode via shortcuts menu. runs without graphic acceleration. (use TOMTOM 6.030 in landscape. No option to change to this in tomtom program. screen refresh (2fps if lucky) very wiered whole phone slows down until return to home screen which then returns to portrait.
This device is a great platform for you guys to develop your roms on to. Cant wait to see some of your work in the next comming weeks. I hope some of this info is a help to you lot out there

A2DP only works on a bitrate of 48000 it doesnt support other
the fm radio probably uses the wired headset as antenna like the old sony phones. even if one gets it to work through bluetooth it would still be needing this wired headset to receive broadcasts
reply
i thought by having the wired headphones and connected the bluetooth that i would get the volume from radio through to bluetooth but still reroutes to wired.
in regards to A2DP. the playback quality from touch without adjusting value was pretty poor. especially at top range sounds. if A2DP only supports 48000 how comes there is an adjustment on SCHAPS ADV config to change bitrate to 44100.
I have a question, are the wired headphones any good?
Is it possiable for someone to extract the software for the fm radio? Curious to see if it works on the fuze...
....
Wired headphones not to bad to use, earphones dont stay in my ears one of those people with funny shapes ears.
Anyone do you think there will be a fix to the landscape issue because i use my tomtom alot for my job and i like the display in landscape.
cheers
Remember people, Raphael is still in the VERY early stages, loads of stuff should be fixed fairly rapidly, best part of having a PPC

probably the radio application not supporting it.
A2DP should work with 32000 , 44100 and 48000 , but i found out it only works well on 48000 with the blue soleil software i use on my pc.
further investigation showing that the device and rom support all bitrates.
most logitech a2dp devices work well on 44100 joint stereo mode. allmost all nokia a2dp devices use 32000 joint stereo. jabra uses 48000 stereo. sony uses 48000 stereo. the rest im not familiar with. older a2dp devices tend to work better at 32000 joint stereo mode.

I'm using SRS Wow HD in ELF, but will definitly give it a try on the Pro.
It works through BT.
And maybe then the BT trick that was tried with having the earplugs connected might work.
Attached you'll find the version i made the with the advanced settings.
As for Wifi what is the default setting in it's power mode?
suppose this works on a wizard also ?

I have a wizard but haven't tried it, been playing to much with my ELF
hehe i would too if i got one ^^
im still waiting for my touch pro to arrive
in the meanwhile i will give the srswow a shot and try it on a friends plain mda vario, since mine allready got the srswow thing.
i'll report back on that one.
We'll i'll be ordering mine on Friday morning so with luck it's in on Saturday.
Def the first thing to install and test can't live without it anymore.
Once your used to Sound enhancements and go back to regular you realise what your missing.
And i never tried the HTC equalizer as it did not support me ST-BT headset.
thanks will try WOWHD tomorrow. default power setting in wifi is best battery. HTC should really work on there software, hopefully there music player should get better with later rom versions. Now using windows media to play audio getting a much better sound quality.

Well it wasn't working over the headset it had no effect using the HTC Player.
But then switched to my BT headset and WMP and it's doing it's jiggy.
Also working on the build in speakers using WMP.
Looks like the HTC player is using it's own Audio Driver.
But with the ToiuchFlo3d config tool it gets even better.
I can't compare it to a previous diamond situation though.
For me that's an easy choice. WMP it is then. Gives me one less tab on the Home screen
I'll try the BT Sample rate tomorow.
Touchflo was doing fine barely glitches

WMP is wicked with WOW. iv got to say HTC media player is rubbish.Hope someone tweeks the htc player. i like the graphic interface on it
I've got some Sony Ericsson DS-HBH970 bluetooth headphones which sound pretty good and are great for the convenience of non- cable tanglingness, and control of playback while the phone is in your pocket.
Problem is that I use coreplayer for listening to music on the phone, and when I use the play/pause, or next/previous track control it's doing it on the built in player in Touchflo, and not on coreplayer.
It's incredibly annoying as it means I can't control the player I'm actually using via bluetooth.
Any ideas how to change this?
Many thanks!
Jim
I'm having the same problem.... Does any1 know how to fix that? Thank you
Same issue with Jabra BT3030.
I tried the advanced control plugin features in CorePlayer, for enabling WMP control support .. didn't worked.
Then tried AVRCP Agent (available on XDA, search the forum), which allows you to send command directly to the desired app (WMP, Coreplayer, GsPlayer)... didn't work either. Looks like HTC hardcoded AVRCP support into their player :-(((
I just hope some of the chefs here will comme with a little tweak...
Edit : It works !!! (see below, post #6)
Fingers crossed as this is mega irritating. Frankly I've been astounded at the quality of the audio on my HTC both via sennheisers, and sony ericsson bluetooth cans, but given that I only use coreplayer, and prefer the bluetooth phones for convenience it's a real pita!
Does any WM guru know how to solve that?
Coreplayer working on TOuch HD with BT3030
I tried again tonight, and AVRCP just worked out of the box : play/pause, next, previous fast forwrd (double press)...
It works with Coreplayer in the foreground, or in the background...
I previously used AVRCP agent, but this time it wasn't enabled (maybe it changed some setting somewhere, and it was not meant to be always opened...). I have TFDetached enabled ; I started Coreplayer from the "regular" Today panel, but it still works when switching to TF3D !
If opened Coreplayer before switching on the BT3030 headset (previously paired).
Settings for Coreplayer :
- HTC Windows Media Player Mobile A2DP plugin : on (ticked)
- HTC WMP control plug-in : off (unticked)
Will try to find if that didn't came from another tweaked, but right now I can't think of something else I would have done...
Good luck guys !
Ace! Will try that AVRCP thingy tonight and see if I can get mine to work.
Thanks
Eyaeeya would you be kind and explain to me step by step how did u do that ? Can you post here the version of AVRCP that you use ? NOOB HERE Thank you in advance!
This must sound really dumb but how do I run AVRCP?I got the zip and ran the exe file from it to install it but nothing seems tohave happened.
Sorry for being dense!
Well, I've had AVRCP running for a bit now but I just cannot get it to control Coreplayer by bluetooth instead of the headphones controlling the TF3 player instead.
There must be LOADS of people facing this problem since Coreplayer is near enough a staple application on winmo phones.
What am I doing wrong?
Still no-one?! Surprised by this.
Does no-one use bluetooth + coreplayer besides me and eyaeya?
I'm looking for the same fix too!
has anyone tried to go into coreplayer options(or tools)??? --- I saw somekinda option in plugins "windows media player control" or something like that, see if that helps!!!!

works 100% with Coreplayer
Cheers mate - installed that and rebooted etc but it's still not working with Coreplayer.
It's stopping WMP from using the control but it's just not doing anything with coreplayer.
I've posted on that thread anyway.
Thanks for the link
I've finally given up on CorePlayer. The latest version of Pocket Player 4.1 solves all of my Verizon HTC Touch Pro + Bluetooth problems.
Thanks to Pocket Player 4.1, I now have:
1. Full control of all of the buttons on my Motorola HT820.
2. Lossless flac and ape support.
3. A boost in volume. I set the default equalizer with the pre-amp at its maximum. With a press of a button on the headset, I can boost volume so that it is suitable for freeway speeds.
4. A persistent current playlist.
Goodbye CorePlayer. Don't let the door hit you where the good lord split you.
did anyone ever make progress on this? I need coreplayer for the .mp4 video functionality. I cant find any other player that play is (TCPMP is to laggy).
Everybody knows the standard mp3 player provided with Manila is useless. It's sloooooow, it doesn't have many options etc. So I've been using S2P with a "wire" headphones since I bought HTC HD.
This year Santa Clause gave me a bluetooth headset and there is suddenly a problem. The headset pairs with the HD at once. It has a clear sound, all the buttons works fine (Play/Pause, Next/Previous, Volume Up/Down) but... only with the default player. I cannot operate S2P with the bluetooth headset. Everytime I push any button standard player intercepts it and S2P absolutely ignores it.
Did anyone has the similar problem and was able to solve it?
Hi,
you can check this link...I had the same problem...I have installed the cab file in the link provided and everything works fine now..

you can try audionav i use it because every sound is directed to your headset i needed it for tomtom only the radio wont work on bleutooth
I don't face a problem with these on s2p.perhaps rite to the dev. He is a xda member here.

I have searched the past threads and did not see any about bluetooth audio issue. I have 2 plantronics headsets that both Paired properly paired 2XXPlantronics and a 220Plantronics. I am on stock GB. Is there an app or setting that I am missing to push all audio through the bluetooth? I tried super Mono but that just stopped audiop playback on my X2 and did not give me any audio through my headset. I have tried with both headsets. Thanks in advance. I think after some review this is a gingerbread issue but with all the developers hear I am hoping there is a fix or some can come up with a fix.
The headsets must support media audio in addition to phone audio. This has been the case since day one. If your headset only supports phone audio, it won't for example pay music. Don't know if anyone has tried tweaking the bluetooth stack to get around this, but the limitation has existed since before smartphones came around.

Anyone got the (stock) fm radio to go over BT?
I use a Plantronics 3XX. On my old HTC Touch Pro II, I could play music thru it with a particular setting in WM 6.5 and I think even WM 6.1 had it too. My thoughts are that it's more an Android issue regarding routing.
[EDIT] - I found on Market an app called Bluetooth Switcher for $2.99 that might work. There is also a FREE trial version for you to try out before making a purchase to see if it works on your hardware.
Bluetooth Switcher trial
Just tried it. Opens and has on/off buttons. It does nothing.
I use a Plantronics pro+.
Yes my headsets have worked with an HTC Imagio (Windows modile 6.5) and on my Dell laptop. I am thinking it is an android issue as well. I tried a friends out whos earpiece had A2DP and it worked fine but I already have a bluetooth headset and do not want to spend any more money. Thanks for all of your responses thus far.

Iirc you must have a regular 3.5 mm jack in to listen to the radio.

You have to have a headset plugged into it because it uses the cord as an antenna. No internal antenna. My Sansa MP3 player's FM radio works the same way.
Now, you can use the speaker on the phone for the radio once you have a headset plugged in. So maybe there's a way to route it thru BT if you have a headset for an antenna.
There is an apk called media switch (pro). It may work but mkt says incompatable w/ dx2. I tried the email purchase but it failed. Mkt does not know what works on MY dx2 as it also said spb shell 3d was incomp. But it works *****great-****. I had to do the email buy.
Question for you guys .... I use Google Music but have noticed on my RAZR that often the bluetooth music control (like from my car stereo) only work when Google Music is in the foreground on my phone. It seems to be OK if it was in the foreground and I switch back to Navigation -- I can still control it. But if I start playback from my launcher using iSyncr widget things often get all screwed up and I can only get things right by going directly into Google Music... otherwise the controls on my car do nothing.
Anyone else notice this?
(Same thing happens when I stream A2DP to my laptop ...)
Another issue is I can't use the button on iPhone headphones with my RAZR. I had no issues with my Droid X but it won't answer/end calls nor control music playback. Is this normal as well?
could it be the widget?

Anything is possible -- although I've been using iSyncr since I first got Android and have never had similar issues.
I've been listening to music all day at work via Bluetooth and it's been working -- and that's without having the player in the foreground. So I don't know ... I wonder if it's the stock Motorola player stealing focus? I have never used it but it always seems to be running.
Also any idea on why the headset button doesn't work at all? Not even for call handling.

unless you are using the settings on the stock music player equalizer, I don't see a reason to not use task manager to end it, that may be what's causing a conflict. and I am unfamiliar with your headphones, I rarely use them. but when it do I have some nice sennheiser earbuds my wife got me. normally I use a jawbone jambox (bluetooth) at home and a wired (dynex) logitech speaker at work.
