My phone is I-mate k-jam (kind of G4).I unlocked my phone’s CID by hard SPL program from your website . I could not install phone’s original rom. Then I installed original rom by shelltools program. My phone is not operated after hard resetting. When I switch on my phone, it stopped in three-colored page. Please be kind enough to conduct me.
You need to remove the hard spl in order to go back to the original rom

What is the SPL version?
Invalid Vendor ID means it's not CID unlocked..
So you need the original i-mate ROM obviously. Not the HTC/Qtek ROM..
BTW.: Soft SPL doesn't work in bootloader, it needs WM 5/6 in order to load the Soft SPL.
Connect USB cable, kill wscecomm.exe (in PC's taskmanager) and start the RUU.
Forget the warning the Ruu tells you about having an active activesync connection. Flash the original iMate ROM.

You haven't got Hard SPL.
So only way to flash is original ROM (in original Language it came with).

I explain my problem more accurat. I downloaded Soft SPL accompanied by Vodafone Qtek 9100 G4 IPl&SPL.zip after reading topic of How To Remove HardSPL and according teaching I transferred nk.nbf file from Vodafone Qtek 9100 G4 IPl&SPL.zip file to Soft SPL file .Then I wanted to perform Start-sSPL.exe file but I could not perform. Then I found Soft SPL is not operated in Bootloader.Then I performed 2.exe (ROMUpdateUtility MFC Application) file in Soft SPL file accidentally. I thought it is being installed. After accomplishment I found my phone’s spl has turned from olip to 2.17.0001.So I wanted to install original ram but I couldn’t install. It is installed wm6 on my phone completely now but it is stopped in spl page. I think I could not remove my phone’s hard spl completely. Please be kind enough to help me.

i was upgrading it using the telstra WM6 rom.
during the upgrade it was around 15% that the upgrade utility show the error that device cannot connect.
my device is bricked now
IT is not KITL enabled
it the first splash screen it shows no gsm
it only shows the bootloader menu

SPL 2.03
i read the wiki on how to unbrick a bricked hermes but there is no sulotion

Did you also read the wiki to see how to install hardspl to protect your device BEFORE flashing ?(here: http://www.mrvanx.org/cms/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=30&Itemid=27 )? Are you using Olipro hardspl?
Try to use the SDCARD method (Format a sdcard in FAT32. Copy the nbh file on it and rename it HERMIMG.NBH. Insert the card and HR : OK/POWER/Soft reset. Follow the instructions)

Try solution to reeboot ( sometimes helps)
1. get out SIM and SD card

2. Make BL mode on Hermes
2a on PC ActiveSync - coonection properties untick allow to connect by USB
3. start mtty on PC , choose USB and enter.
4. next enter.
5. type set 14 and enter
6. type task 8 and enter
OS have to boot if no go to 7
7. enter
8 type set 16 and enter
9. type task 8 and enter
Hope that will boot

Pretty much all the info on unbricking is in this table by Pof. If this doesn't sort you out then you're have to send it off to imeicheck etc for repair.

I have bricked my jasjam while updating to telstra wm6
I have not super CID my device before upgrading to telstra wm6
Now my device freezed at second splash screen

when i used the info 6 command on mtty it says NO CID
i can not upgrade my device from SD CARD (memory stick)
i used these command on MTTY.exe but no improvement

when i tried to rom upgrade using any ruu (ruuwraper,.....) it only shows 1% and my device reboots and ....
any suggestions????
I hope you understand this, Basically if
1. You have a "No GSM"
2. Your CID is corrupted
3. Your OS has no KITL mode
4. You didn't use HARDSPL...
Then your phone is screwed, and you need to buy a new one or send it to repair.
Hope you have better luck with your next phone. (you seem to be collecting bricked phones!)

try to send to repair centre, if repair cost is too much. Than u have to decide try but new gadget. Kaiser looks flirt to me

The offical I-mate telstra Jasjam rom for WM6 came out recently previous to that i just kept the original WM5 rom that it came with much to the dismay of my peers, actually considered it a few times but decided against it till the official rom came out.
yeah if you follow the instructions for the WM6 rom you use it should be ok however the "Murphys law" of programming tends to suggest there will always be an error that they dont allow for.

This has NOTHING to do with only using official Roms! One has pretty much the same chance of bricking their phone evening using an official WM6 as a cooked variant from Schaps et al..
Simply put if you don't use HardSPL then you're asking for trouble no matter what the ROM. You should also use the MicroSD wherever possible as it is much more reliable.

Hi there, i have a situation that happened to my s200/G4 when i've tryed to update:
First i've updated IPL to 2.20 and it went ok showing on the device IPL 2.20.0001. Then when i've tryed to update SPL to 2.20 also and here the problem acoured. in the end it showed ok but when it rebooted it showed IPL 2020.0001 and SPL 2.20 and nothing else...... after this the s200 always stops at the bootloader screen. I'v tryed the hard reset, soft reset, latest i'v tryed the ppc charge trick(cut wires, etc...) i can even put the s200 discovered in the pc as a usb htc device(bootloader) but when i try to update to a new rom or anything the update program (always used g4 software and confirmed that it is a g4 ppc before update) it says that it can not communicate with the device....?!?!?
well, the device is showing in the device manager as a usb ppc device.
i don't know what to do more.
since he is connecting to the pc, how can i force him to accept any firm?
really this is a complicated situation to me since i am a beginner.
If anyone can help me please do. I would apreciate it.

Try Soft SPL
Instead of hard SPL, why don't you try just Soft SPL?
Search the Soft SPL thread, copy the 3 files to your Prophet root (\) dir and execute the SPL link, answer YES to the Program Executing Firewall if it pop up.
You'll need some WM5/6 to be able to operate the Prophet in order to do this, I went from the BootLoader directly to PDAViet Step 1 Temp WM5, after it ask me to tap the sreen to begin to use the device, I follow all the steps in order to have a WM operative, then use ActiveSync to Explore and copy Soft SPL to root dir.
After this, execute Soft SPL from your pocket, a blank screen will came. Press the Camera Button (Just in case), the Execute "ROMUpdateUtility_NV_G3.exe" or G4 equivalent from your nk.nbf preferred WM6 ROM.
Some time you'll have to unlplug the PDA and plug it again so the update to WM5 PDAViet Temp to begin without the "PDA not connected error", please, be advice that Activisync will be disable during this Bootloader stage, I mean, It will not sincro nor anything, but you'll still be able to update to Step 1 WM5.
You haven't actually done HardSPL right. Not an expert so I can't help you do it, there are guides on this forum though. But your IPL wont show 2.20.0001 ... it will have something with G4 in the middle. Sorry I can't be more specific, I only fixed this on my phone last night.
Just got Hermes vodafone with German language and successfully loaded hardspl and have it in supercid. Now i want to upgrade to english version, but i keep getting error 260. PDA stays in RGB mode and saying USB. If i disconnect the cable it switches to Serial.
I have tried to update with
vodafone 1.20.161.6 aku 2.3
vodafone 2.07.161.1 aku 3.3
htc 1.35.255.102 aku 2.3
they all report the same. Have tried rebooting computer as said in wiki, but no success.

I have the same problem with my second-hand JASJAM. The only way I can flash ROMs on my phone is by using RUUWrapper and select force SSPL and this always works well.

A simple search would have remedied this...its been a topic so many times now!
The reason the official RUUs wont work correctly is because of the fact that HardSPL has been loaded, hence the SPL version isnt recognised, you gotta flash the official .nbh file using CustomRUU.
But first update to the latest version of HardSPL (see the sticky thread).
When you run the customRUU program select your SPL version (or use autodetect) and off you go!.
EDIT:: to get you started, Hardspl is HERE.....flash it.
then open the RUU with winzip or winrar and copy over the .nbh file into a folder.
download CUSTOMRUU.....run it from that folder with your device synced over activesync....select your SPL and voila.
Silly fella's. Its alright though I used to make the same mistake. I think im better friends with the search feature on here than I am with my real friends. You can always rely on the the WIKI or the search.

My problem was the same described in this post (too recent SPL).
I similar problem only difference is now phone wont go out of boot mode as its not recognised by active syn or in the rom update procedure.
Please help urgently cannot restore phone...and i dont know how
If you have Hard SPl V7 installed, try to re-install the rom, or a different one using the sd card method.
1. Format 2Gb or less sd card FAT32 and copy .nbh file onto it. Rename to hermimg.nbh .
2. Insert into Hermies and reset into bootloader, hold power, OK button under flywheel and reset with stylus hold all buttons in until you get to tri-colour (bootloader) screen.
3. Follow onscreen instructions...

what ROM are you trying to start? I was stuck on HTC logo too, when I tried to start a ROM without installing Striped ROM first, which was highly needed. So I done hard reset(three color screen), and flashed again.
For starters, put in bootloader, connect to PC (1st untick "Allow USB Connections" in activesync) and run Hard SPL V7. Install it on your Herms and hope it works because otherwise you are in for a whole heap of hairpulling frustration...
If you get Hard SPL onto your Hermes then use the sd card method to flash a new rom...
You could have avoided this by doing a little research instead of going full pelt into flashing, you Hard SPL BEFORE you get into trouble, NOT AFTER....

I have a similar problem with a T-Mobile branded TyTn from a friend of mine who thought flashing ROMs without putting device into HardSPL would be clever.
The devices has also IPL-1.04 and SPL-2.03 and from the bootscreen it looks like WM5 should have been installed. I also get the "NO GSM" message and I REALLY tried every fking method but without success.
I even created a Goldcard (and verified on another device it's working, level 0 instead FF) and tried to flash several ROMs (also Cingular WM5 ROM and original german T-Mobile ROM) but no luck.
I also tried to run HardSPL V7 but as far as I remember it just said it cannot connect.
Funny thing: HardSPL V9 DOES start flashing and on the PDA and the PC the bar shows 100% but some moments later it says "Could not update" (or something like that).
I even tried different mtty methods from several posts from the forum (erasing the NAND on different ways, qtek loader method with erasing the first blocks) but I'm really really frustrated now and I believe there is no solution here?! (device has no guarentee)
So, if someone has ANY hint or useful information write it down or send me a PM.
I gladly appreciate your help and hope for a solution!

P.S.: I couldn't find any information saying Goldcard method works (or even exists) for Hermes. Can someone confirm it does really work?
