New Radio
DCD do you see any difference with this radio as far as the loud tones that come up with call waiting? and is there any difference on GPS?

Anything need to be done with the A-key or other numbers in EPST? And... look at you... teasing us with dcd 3.2.6.... What's up with that? LOL

Upgraded radio rom did not need to get a new A key and I am sitting in a concrete room with no windows and am picking up 4 satellites off the HTC GPS tool, will continue to test the gps and see it I continue to get a good to great signal. So far am impressed with this radio much faster gps lock than with 3.42.30. Thanks dcd....
I am picking up 4 to 5 satellites with the GPS tool within 5 to 10 seconds. I think I will stay with this radio for awhile.....
Just to relate to the difference with these 2 radio roms 3.42.30 and 3.42.50, with the .30 rom I could never pickup a satellite in my concrete bunker for an office but am picking up and locking onto 4 to 5 satellites within seconds on the .50 rom...

I figured that being I already had a GPS radio on it that this wouldn't change anything. Thanks. Loading as I type.
Edit: I cannot even get Google Maps to Initialize GPS now. I have the same settings as before. I will try to switch it to 911... then to location on... and see what that does.
I had BAF's GPSToggle on... turned it off... and Google Maps "Initialize GPS" does go away now. But... it still is taking forever (more than a minute) to get any syncs
Edit: Ok... ON a fresh boot. Shutting the phone off and turning it back on... It takes more than a minute to initialize the GPS. Once this is done. I can turn the Toggle off... / Exit Google Maps... and the next time I start either application... it locks in seconds.

I can't test very well in my building, but I see that ephemeris data is rolling and it sees some information. Seems typical so far but I will report back.
Good news for another issue though, I did test and found out that the call waiting thing (annoying sound) didn't happen after flashing this radio. I had 3.42.30 loaded this morning and got the sound. I flashed to 3.42.50 and it didn't happen just now. Not sure if this is coincidence but good anyways.

I have never gotten that call waiting sound in all the time I've used 3.42.30.

finally
I finally went and got a 2gb Micro-SD card from Fry's yesterday. Flashed from SD card and took like 2 minutes. Way better than USB!
Thanks for the Radio DCD!

Gotcha. Yeah... when I first did my phone.... that's how I did it. Via USB. I didn't have a regular SD card. I had no issues doin it that way.

Nitro, you didn't have to use SPL 1.20 for this one when flashing via USB?

I'm just waiting for some more reviews about the GPS before I upgrade. Anyone else try this out?

Nope. i updated to 2.40 from the stock 1.04 like the Wiki said. Then went to the radio 3.42.30 after the Hard_SPL update.
As far as going to 3.42.50... I just did the SD card way since I have a non SDHC card now.

I couldn't do .30 via USB, and can't do .50 either. The RUU utility runs, gets to 8%, a red light flashes on my phone, and it reboots.
To update the radio via USB, I *think* you need to go back to 1.20. Don't quote me on that though, because my memory sucks. I'm to old to be hacking phones!

That's exactly what I was trying to figure out. I flash everything with microsd so I'm not about to test it. Was waiting for someone who flashes via USB to test it.
Just a note to everyone reading this, if you follow those wiki instructions and flash via USB, you need to use TitanUnlocker first to install SPL 1.20, flash the radio, then reinstall SPL 2.40. Same as Radio 3.42.30 USB installation.

It was tricky getting the Software to recognize the phone without activesync. But... I followed the Titan Recent wiki. And did have 2.40 on the phone when I did the Radio update.

I remember now.... I had to wait until someone put out the .30 exe to install via USB. Don't know why, but that method worked for .30 for me. Guess I'll have to wait until someone makes the exe again, for .50

I think I've flashed SOMETHING on my phone once a week or more for about 6 months straight now.

Stuck at Verizon Screen

Hey all,
Been trying just about everything to help a buddy out, but I've been failing repeatedly.
He got a brand new phone yesterday and found the XDA Titan Wiki to install the GPS enabled ROMs. He loaded SPL 2.4, then installed DCD 3.2.0. It got stuck at the Verizon screen when it restarted...then he apparently downloaded the Radio 3.42.30 to try and install that to get out of it (maybe thinking the Radio needed to be installed for it to get through). Now he's stuck at the White Verizon screen, and it says "No Radio".
Sounds like from when I read the Wiki he was supposed to install an intermediary Rom before jumping all the way to 3.2.0.
I've suggested using the Olipro SPL 1.2 unlocker, the Titan Relocker, several different ROM's and am at a loss as to how to fix it. He's still stuck at the Verizon screen displaying "No Radio."
Any suggestions?
Thanks
I went from stock to 3.2.0 / Radio 3.42.02.. no problems.
I have not loaded 2.42.30 (I prefer to use the radio version released by HTC for this device.. 3.42.30 was released for another device and ported.. although it seems to work for everyone.)
I HAVE read that for radio 3.42.30 you need SPL 1.20 for USB Flashing.

Yes! This is well documented.. a common issue.
If you flash the Rom without a compatible radio.. you will get stuck on the verizon screen... I suggest flashing the ROM AFTER the radio.. since you flashed the Rom already... when you get the radio working, Reflash the ROM.
Did you flash the radio via SD Card or USB?
Did it show a progress bar while flashing?
Let us know how your attempting to flash the Radio (USB or SD) With specific steps (held buttons X, Y, and Z.. saw this message, pressed this key.. saw this on the screen) .. and someone will let you know what you might be doing wrong.
Also.. dont forget to run the carrier cab when your done.. This is worth mentioning since it's the most common issue once the device boots and you cant program the phone, or make data / voice connections.

Can you get to the bootloader by holding down camera power and pushing the reset button? If so, you can flash the radio with the SD method found in the wiki. just put the radio on the sd card in the proper format and enter bootloader and it should correct your problem.
Can I suggest something to try? (assuming you have 6800)
1. Get the sprint release. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=402887
2. in bootloader, load the sprint release by usb method. when it gets to having you touch the screen, soft reset.
3. In bootloader, load the dcd 3.2.0 rom (or any other rom).
4. Hard reset.
This should give you 3.2.0 rom and 3.42.02 radio.
Responses
Hey guys,
Thanks for the responses and suggestions.
1) At the moment he doesn't have an SD card aside from the SDHC, so he couldn't do that until he purchases one. Good idea though if nothing else works
2) When pressing the camera/power/reset he's in the SPL 2.4 bootloader screen, he's going to try your suggestion of downloading Sprints and upgrading.
3) I'll ask him procedurally what else he has tried, what error he gets for recording. No doubt you were correct about uploading the Radio before the ROM
I've actually flashed my phone exactly the same way he has so that I can try to experience the same problems, and try to figure it out myself.
Bingo
Hey,
The Sprint ROM .exe was the answer. Very smart, thanks again for helping us both out. Was getting a little nervous for about 2 minutes.

Downgrading to 3.39 - Testing

After reading somebody's post recently that 3.39 had a better lock I thought to try it out in comparison to see for myself (mostly to dispute).
I tried to flash this .nbh file here, but it wouldn't take. I tried reformatting the card, renaming to ensure it wasn't TITAIMG.nbh.nbh, re-extracting and renaming, everything I would do for it to work in the past.
I even tried all of the above with 1.20 bootloader with no success. Is there something preventing me from loading this particular file from where I am (3.2.2 with 3.42.30)? I would like to compare for myself and have the ability to flash from whatever to whatever.
Is this a bad file? I thought it used to work fine.
Try this one.

I can always count on you gcincotta (I put your throwback jersey on today).
I will post with results.
This is weird
Ok, so 1.20 won't update back to 2.40, not sure why but it recognizes it in activesync with the OS, goes through the cmd window ok, but has an error in the RUU stating that there is a problem with the connection.
The only thing that I can think of is that one time I began the nueSPL update but did not finish as the card that was in was a sdhc so I cancelled out before it asked me to commit. Not sure why that would have been a problem as it didn't complete the flash and never showed the bootloader at 2.47, it has always been 2.40.
Any thoughts on how to clean up the bootloader?
Should I go ahead to nueSPL 2.47 (FYI I am on Verizon)?
Not really worried at this point, but would like to get at least 2.40 back on the phone for the next ROM/Radio upgrade. This could be why radio wasn't flashing, right?
Wait, so you have 1.20 on?

I have heard that I should stay away from 2.47 for now, but if I cannot load 2.40 I am game. I wonder if I have some freaky bootloader situation due to the mix of 2.40 and some effect caused by the loading of a temporary 2.47 SPL.
I think my preference would be 2.40, but I would still like to test radio 3.39 eventually. I definitely want to get out of 1.20 at this point.
I'm running 2.47 with no issues. In fact, it's performing better....

That is what DCD proved on ppcgeeks, I just heard from Azclown that no2chem was testing for downgrading to non-GPS roms 1.x and such. I will proceed to 2.47 then. Can I test 3.39 on that?
Yes, 3.39.10 should be fine on 2.47

Couldn't load 2.47 from 1.20, but finally got 2.40 from my laptop to stick. No boot loops, but 2.47 still won't load as it goes straight to "serial" similar to what happened with trying to load .nbh files. The only time I can get any other result is to force bootloader with no image file and it briefly states that there is no valid image file then quickly reboots.
Weird thing is that it keeps saying SPL-2.07No2Chem Titan SPL EVT CPLD-9 (yes, that says 2.07, not 2.47). It loaded the temporary SPL of the relocker version, but that wont stick if I reboot and force bootloader. It goes back to 2.40 again. What's up with that?
This card used to work great, now maybe it is one of the cards that doesn't work to flash? This is certainly an imperfect science LOL
Thanks again GC.
How are you trying to load 2.47? 2.47 can only be run with microsd, and you must have the card inserted while running the unlocker from your device. For example, the executable needs to be in Device Storage, and the card you're using to flash has to be inserted. That's the ONLY way to flash 2.47.
Question..... Is your card formatted to fat32 with a 1024 or less cluster size. I had to format mine via dos to adjust my cluster size that low. XP won't let me set it that low thru their format interface. Not sure if your's is set that way yet or not. If so, tell me I'm an idiot and I'll go away
Nue2.47 automatically detects if the card is formatted right, and will format it for you if it's not right.
Well isn't that just easy now. Thanks for the info I hadn't messed with 2.47 or even looked into it.

I have been fooling with this and this is what I have found (to my chagrin so far)...
Whether I put the .exe on the device or on the card I still hang at 2.07 "serial" bootloader, it doesn't try to load the new bootloader image.
Whether I format FAT and let it reformat, or format via cmd (format D: /FS:FAT32 /A:1024), or format using windoze default fat32 settings, it still hangs at the 2.07 "serial" screen.
It also doesn't matter if I am plugged in by USB when running executable or not, still just hangs at 2.07.
I really want this to load, and am thinking it must be the card. It used to load everything before I tried to load 2.47.
Hmm I know absolutely nothing about 2.07 or 2.47. I still run 2.40 and am actually now running 3.39.10 radio after seeing this post..... lol... you gonna love this..... I can't dispute his findings. It locks quick for me on VZW. All the other radios I have been running had mixed results and none were great in my eyes until I loaded this. I was actually able to get great results without GC's fix. I hate to see how fast it was if I was to apply his fix.
It is my post and I cant get the stupid nbh to load without using the sprint RUU (still debating) and I hope it is just a card issue. Will have to go buy another microsd by Kingston or someone (this is a PNY) to check. Depressing cause this card ran everything at one point. Now I cant load 2.47 or any nbh files, go figure.
Glad to see that worked for you, I wonder if it is an isolated case, sheer coincidence, or if there are some locational benefits to the different radio versions. Some swear by the newest radio, but I have had mixed results compared to older radios (longer lock times for me for sure). I wish I could get this loaded so I could judge for myself. I feel like a noob, but I know some cards don't work.
With 3.42.30, I can lock from cold start within 15 seconds on VZW....I'm talking 10-15 hours go by without using GPS cold start.

Absolutely cannot get GPS to work on xv6800. Help!!!

Okay, I've looked around the forums and tried a number of things. I started out wondering if I should install the new update. Got to looking around and decided to just install a custom rom. Was a little weary because of my experience with the xv6700. Anyway. Ran SPL Unlocker to install 2.40 Oilpro. Installed the Radio 3.27.00 and dcd 2.1.0....did a *228 and then my phone would not pick up service. Tried a few things but since I was in a hurry just ran the vzw update and it fixed it. Later I come back and decided to try an do this right. So I run the RadioRefurbish. It worked and rolled me back to 1.35_002. Still no GPS. I've tried everything including this:
http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=VerizonAGPSFix
Still no change. I do not get a fix. I mean GPS Viewer can see the GPS but I never get anything from it. I have a bluetooth GPS and can get a fix inside on a cold start in 5 min max. I left this thing for hours. Indoor, in the car, etc... nothing. I'm at a loss. I am currently running SPL 2.40 Oilpro. Radio 3.42.02 and dcd 3.2.3. With PRI 1.35_002. I had read of success with the new vzw PRI and NueSpl 2.47. Tried to install 2.47. Gives me checks on all of the prequisites and then when I continue it goes into the bootloader and displays spl 2.07 I have to then soft reset and if I go back to the bootloader it's still 2.40. I am at a loss and would really like to get this working. Any suggestion from any of you oober smart people out there would be great or just someone that might know what else to try.
P.S. Thought about trying to flash back to the original rom but had read where that can easily brick my phone. So that's about the only thing I haven't tried.
oober? lol...
First, what guide were you using that had you using such an outdated bootloader, radio, and rom?!
Secondly, am I to understand that you ran the new MR1, WinMo 6.1 from Verizon, with the new PRI? If so, I would try GC14's fix, he has a thread on it, to roll you back to the old PRI.
Thirdly, definetly use NueSPL 2.47 for flashing. Grab the newest radio, 3.42.50. Flash that. Grab the newest dcd, 3.2.6, flash that. Then install the Verizon Carrier Cab. Then do a *228 option 1. Call verizon *611 if need be, to re authenticate the phone if you can't make calls or use data.
Fourthly, go into the Phone control panel, and Get Settings on the Location option. Make sure location is enabled.
Fifth, do the new aGPS fix that was posted by gc14.
Lastly, get a program like Google Maps that is known to be highly compatible with GPS. Set it's GPS options to COM4, 4800 baud. And enable Use GPS. After initializing GPS for about 15 seconds, you should see a very fast lock of about 5-20 seconds or so with the new aGPS fix.

Is that even a GPS enabled rom?
Why are you using such an old rom?
PRI rollback really required?
Is the PRI roll back really required? I went from the MR1 update to DCD 3.2.6 and radio 3.42.40 and got GPS working without rolling back the PRI. My process was;
1. Titan GPS Fix (almost the same as AGPS fix wiki)
2. PRI from hell (only did first step, flashing back to stock)
3. Fix from PPCGeeks (My GPS did not work at all till I did this)
4. Verizon xv6800 aGPS Fix
As far as the PPCGeeks fix goes, I'm now using the PDE IP & port# in the SUPL_AGPS keys in the registry, long with GPSMODE=4. Everything seems to be working great. Maybe I'm just a fluke.
The stock rom I flashed back to when I started the PRI from hell fix was VzW_titan_20273_a2.rar (I think this is the right one, only one I found on my laptop that seems big enough). Now that I think about it I did do the second step on the PRI from hell, I changed my bootloader to 2.40, and reloaded DCD 3.2.6.
i believe that guide would be from PhoneNews as its still one of the top results for "GPS on HTC Titan." Of course no one reads that there is an updated guide, but even that isn't that recent (around release time of 3.35). plus, they give ZERO credit to DCD or anyone on any forums, and took if upon themselves to host all the downloads, and not link to the forums where these originated.
3.42.50 has issues with gps on some phone for some reason. flash with the sprint radio and it will work with out issue.

Well, not saying it's a better fix, just the one that got mine working. But thanks to the xda-dev forums it went from a searchlight to a laser beam.
I've got a solution for GPS on the MR1 release for the xv6800. I should hopefully have a full release soon, but there is hope if you're stuck and unable to get anything except (possibly) VZ Navigator working due to the firmware being placed into locked down GPS mode.

I was able to roll back to PRI 1.35_002 using Radiorefurbish. I would love to install nuespl 2.47, but how. I downloaded it, ran it. It formated my card and ran. Reboots into the bootloader with a spl of 2.07 and just stays there. When I soft reset, reboots as normal. If I enter the Bootloader after that it's still 2.40. I've tried it from a few different Roms thinking that maybe there was an issue. BTW, How bad (dangerous) is it to flash back to original stock. It's about the only thing I haven't tried. I had read that going back to a non GPS rom is a bad idea.

The reason you are stuck in 2.07 could be because of your sd card. try a different card. SanDisk works really well with them.

I've tried it from a few different Roms thinking that maybe there was an issue. BTW, How bad (dangerous) is it to flash back to original stock. It's about the only thing I haven't tried. I had read that going back to a non GPS rom is a bad idea.

I had the same problem trying to use nuespl 2.47. I just kept getting stuck at that screen. soft resetting and trying again. I gave up for a few hours... and came back to it and with absolutely no rhyme or reason, it just decided to work one time... I was also using the SD card method with a 2gig micro. I hope it just decides to work for you.

Is the PRI roll back really required? I went from the MR1 update to DCD 3.2.6 and radio 3.42.40 and got GPS working without rolling back the PRI. My process was;

Do you need to use a relocker before flashing the stock rom? Edit: NVM this
Also, can you share VzW_titan_20273_a2.rar somehow? Any search for it only brings me back to this thread :\... Thanks
Just use the gc14 guide to roll back to the old PRI as stated and be done with it...
3.42.50 radio works fine with GPS, doubly fine with the aGPS hack.

I should have room to upload it on my comcast account. I'll PM you a link when it's done. Standard warning that flashing back to stock has bricked phones (from what I've read). Didn't happen to me, just saying.
Flashing back to MR1 should work. From what I have been told, the problem occurs if you flash to a pre-GPS version after having upgraded to a GPS-enabled version.

ah yes... MR1 would be no problem, but I believe pri from hell fix first step is referring to the pre-MR1 stock (if I'm not mistaken). so I see where animez is coming with the warning. At that step, all you can do is hope for the best I suppose...
Ive flashed back to the ut of the box" stock rom form the SD card several times with no issues at all.
now as far the radio i don go below 3.xx
I still cant get my GPS to work after i updated my PRI, even before i updated it was very hit or miss, I would get 10 sec locks or none at all for days

Titan Radio ROM 3.42.50

Taken from Alltel ROM: HTC PPC6800 WM6.1 / LBS Update – Version 3.52.671.9
http://www.htc.com/us/SupportDownload.aspx?p_id=63&cat=2&dl_id=114
Before anyone asks WHY I am posting this, I am posting it because I have been unable to find this myself, as only having seen the 3.42.50 radio ported over from the Vogue.
So once more, this is an OFFICIAL radio for the Titan version 3.42.50, which was released with the Alltel PPC6800 update v3.52.671.9
Downloads moved to: http://www.4shared.com/dir/13348483/9d4d857d/sharing.html
file is named Titan_Radio_ROM_3.42.50-Alltel.exe
Any questions, or comments are welcome.
Interesting find, thanks. Do you see any difference with this radio?
I haven't really noticed much of a difference.
Everything works as it should, and where I'm at, I always have full signal strength, so I'm not a good person to be judging this.
Hopefully someone else can let you know.
Also, post your results here.
Edit: I am seeing 6~8 satellites with the GPS, which was an improvement, but I'm not using the PDE servers as it requires data and I'm not using a data plan.

I'm curious will this radio work for Sprint? DCD has posted all the radios for the Titan but I'm not sure if his was a port from Vogue or not.

Comparing the two radios this is what I see using NBHextract:

Any guesses?
I installed it on my Sprint mogul. So far its good. I don'tt see anything new with this radio.

It will work fine on Sprint. I'm running it on Verizon.
When I say Alltel, it was stripped from the Alltel ROM, but it is compatible for all Titan devices.
DCD's release was ported over from the Vogue device, and hence the only reason why I'm releasing this official one, as this one was MADE for the Titan.
It is indeed radio 3.42.50, I forgot to change it in the NBH file, but it won't affect anything.
I've been running it on Sprint after getting it from the Alltel stock ROM flash. Works just fine. No issues.

Radios are not carrier specific, only device specific... this will work with any carrier who has the titan.
do i have to use SD card to flash this radio? i have spl 2.40 and it didnt work for me.
You can use SD card. Just unzip the file in first link to root of SD card. Some times it take few tries to go into bootloader for it to find the file.

Make sure it's no more than 2 gb and isn't an hcsd card, won't work otherwise

Ahhhh.... yeah, cause the version is the only thing that worried me. DCD's 3.42.50 has been terrible for me so I wanted to make sure. I'll flash now and see. Thanks for pulling that radio out of Alltel!
I upgraded to this rom... had problems getting to to load.. but once I did..... it installed...
now I dont have a data plan so I really havent seen any benefit to the new radio... Although today I had 9/9 sats... and carried it into work.... and got to my desk and still had 4/9 sats.... THAT IS IMPRESSIVE FOR ME!!!!!
I usually loose signal inside work...
now on the startup time.. with no data plan and no towers to bank off of... usually it takes 1-3 minutes to sync.... but today it took about 10 seconds!!!! not sure what the difference is so far but I like it...
now im reading up on the roms... I see a lite version.... OOOOHHHHHH ME LIKES!!!!
GPS problems
Hey
I'm using this 3.42.50 radio with scrosler's ROM(see sig). I'm having trouble locking in GPS satelites using Google maps. I'm on sprint and can't do the GPS fix. Is there anything else I can do to increase my satelite locking ability?
The RUU keeps telling me that I can't use this update utility with this device.
Do I need to downgrade existing radio somehow first?
I've been using DCD's 2.42.50 radio for several months now on my Alltel Titan (also running his 3.3.4 ROM w/Manilla 2D). Never had any problem with it at all. Worked perfectly for me from day one. GPS working flawlessly with it, I see no need to "update"...

If you are flashing thru RUU on a 3.x radio, you have to downgrade the SPL to I believe (double check before trying) to 1.2, however it is much easier and much preferred to flash via SD card for more accurate flashing. Any time you flash via cable you take that chance of the cable coming loose, PC losing power, etc. Any of which could brick the phone. Roms are safer to flash via cable since you don't have to downgrade/upgrade to do it. And can usually be recovered from by just reflashing. I know from experience as this happened to me. Not so sure about the radio since it provides so much function for the phone.
I recommend going and picking up a 512mb or 1gb card, they are dirt cheap and provide a safer flashing option.

[Q] About to quit with the Titan, help flashing sple

Hello,
I have tried absolutely everything I know and that I have read. 3 different micro sd cards and 2 card readers. I actually bought a Kingston card and kingston card reader because I read kingston works fine for goldcard. I am desperate for fixing this.
There is no way I can get passed the loading screen after rebooting the phone in usb host mode. This are the steps I follow.
My phone at&t Titan pi39100
1. Create goldcard using a 2gb kingston.
1.1 Format the card in Fat32
1.2 Apply the goldcard tool
1.3 Copy the eterimg.nhb file that comes in the file provided by Cotulla for the SPL. (25 mb) ( I have actually tried inverting the order of steps 1.2 and 1.3 just for the sake of trying)
2. Prepare the Y cable as you can see in the pictures attached and reboot the phone and try to flash the SPL. Pressing power, vol - and camera. It gets in to the usb host mode and then a loading screen appears for a few seconds. Next thing I see is the spl screen reading
PI39100 MFG
SPL-2.5 160015.3 (137079)
eMMC SND 15188MB
TOUCH A1 (F:81, ID:1, V11, B:F8)
RADIO- 16.23.02.26_A
Now, I have noticed that if after this I try to flash the hspl I get the congratulations message, but my phone has not changed at all and I cannot flash any custom rom.
I read somewhere that the MFG may be a type of SPL that is impossible to flash, Can someone please confirm that I am not missing any step that that there is just no hope for my phone?
I have spent hours and hours reading and trying with this. I had the hope that some of the problems I have with the phone will be fixed with a Custom Rom, but if I can't flash it, I think I'm getting rid of the phone. I see lots of potential with the windows phone but my personal experience has been terrible
If someone can help I would be totally thankful.

the AT&T Branded HTC Titan is not compatible with DFT's HSPL at the moment. Any attempt will update your SPL from 1.10 to 2.5 which is locked to the phone. Only Rom that is flashable is the Stock AT&T image.
Last we heard from Cotulla among other HTC Titan users are testing possible issues/solution. So for the time being there is no ETA as usual and we AT&T Titan owners are stock with what we currently have.
So the best you can do is flash the stock rom and update to 8107 and patiently wait for any news from DFT/Cotulla
Hey yo...is this an ATT Titan? or an unbranded Titan? It looks like an ATT Titan...but anyway, if it is an ATT Titan, did you successfully debrand the device to the Euro Rom first?
I see Tachi has beaten me to the punch...
Yes...I think we need to tell Cotulla or DFT to put a warning to ATT users who want to try this on the direction page.
IT IS AN ABSOLUTE MUST FOR AT&T TITANS THAT IN ORDER TO INSTALL THE DFT SPL/HSPL - YOU MUST FIRST DEBRAND YOUR DEVICE TO A EURO ROM! - lol -- However, I hear that soon ATT users will be getting some updates along with the 2.5 SPL...so this may be only temporary.
Try to flash back to the original ATT rom and see if the SPL will return back to 1.10. If it doesn't...be patient...they are working on a fix for this.

I cant go back to 1.10 I am stuck at 2.5 no matter what I do. I tried to debrand to a Euro Rom with no success either, this is actually what had me confused cause I could read some post from AT&T users confirming that they had flashed the DFT HSPL.
Well I will keep waiting. I agree with you that a warning for AT&T usera at the beginning of the post would be helpful.
Thanks a lot to both of you. At least I can sleep tonight knowing I it's not that I am missing some evident step.
AT&T sucks their policy is an abuse of power (to the eyes of a European) There are lots of things I miss from the US and I am looking forward to go back, but my phone carrier is not one of them
P.S. I can't make backups of the phone with Zune either, it give me an error and neither the patch from htc or the solution from microsoft work. Just sharing it in case it helps someone.

NO!
Flash the European ROM so that your titan can be debranded. If you attempt to DFT unlock now you will be stuck like the rest of us

Somewhere in the forum, you must use GOLDCARD method to debrand- does this applies to me as well? I bought the AT&T Titan used- the previous owner somehow has internet-sharing option under the settings.

Yes you need a goldcard to debrand the titan. To get internet sharing under settings the previous owner must have updated to 8107 since thats how i got that under settings as well. So you can check under "About" and if you have anything other then 7720 under "OS Version" that means they used the cabsender.

If by unlock you mean full on Interop DFT unlock then yes if you have SPL 1.10
Those who have had success using DFT unlock had previously used a Goldcard to flash a European ROM. The issue we are having is that if you attemp to flash DFT unlock with SPL 1.10 to get stuck.
So if you want custom roms it will be smart to first flash a European ROM (2.05) using the goldcard. Once you are runnig the unbranded 8107 rom then start the DFT unlock process
No problem andres22,
haha, And yes, I would agree...as would most-all AT&T users too.

All the AT&T Titan I believe, had the Internet Sharing in the stock Rom. I got 2 Titan last November with 7720 ROM with it.
Just want to let everyone in this thread know;
I see claims that debranding must be done and guarantees success...
There has been no quantitative proof that debranding does anything. The success stories are the loudest, of course, and more and more threads keep popping up where users are saying "if only I debranded I wouldn't be stuck on SPL 2.05!"
Having met with success after debranding doesn't prove anything. I didn't debrand and I got my Titan to HSPL, admittedly it was a lengthy and unnerving process. I don't think that debranding does anything, I don't think it even logically CAN do anything, but what I do know is that the AT&T titan is not "not supported", as was claimed in one of the first posts. It was supported, but I'd say half (or less than half, again, loudest of the bunch) of users are having issues with at least two parts of the process, and DFT is looking into it.
I guess I should get off my ass and see if I can unstick the SPL on my second titan.

If your claim is true- this changes everything.
Care to elaborate how you obtained HSPL on your titan? I am sure at&t titan owners are eager to know
Well I have two AT&T Titans, because I thought I half bricked my first one with the f400 error. Then I f400'd the second Titan.
I went back to work on my original Titan, I got rid of the f400 error and I THINK I was stuck on SPL 2.05, HSPL wouldn't install even though it said success. Some combination of hard resetting and flashing the stock ROM brought me back to SPL 2.10, from there I flashed 2.05 again and then HSPL worked.
I have spent significantly less time trying to HSPL my second Titan, but for what it's worth I have been unable to duplicate whatever I did to my first Titan in my half hour of tinkering with it. Stuck on 2.05.
(I think I spent no less than 20 hours on my first Titan, though most of that was because goldcard wasn't working with all but one of my USB devices.
