now, i know what 3G is, and i can get it every here and there in my city.
( Orange,CA ) but please do tell me about HSPDA and where, if anywhere, i can get a map shwoing where it has been rolled out?
Also, if i do the Enable HSPDA in HTweakC, and soft reset, will it automatically switch to HSPDA if its availible to me when around? I use BandSwitch, and when using it i set it mostly to G (Edge) because i get much better cell reception. But if i change it to UMTS, if HSPDA is near will it automatically goto that? Or is bandswitch not allowing it to?
Sorry for the newbie Q's on this, but some clarification would be GREAT!

Look in the HSPDA Column and see if you have anything above ZEROs. If you have them it means that HSPDA is connected. If you want to know everything that is about the fieldtest, look in the FTP and you will find a documentation on it.
How do you download more themes? On the MT3Gs, there was an option but I can't find it.
When you open up MyModes and select one of your modes, under Settings there is a button for "get more themes". This opens up the browser for a url: themes.store.t-mobile.com. It doesn't actually load anything. I wonder if maybe this feature is still in the works.
No themes available.... :-(
on the slide it was only via the tmo network. try it when you are NOT in wifi.

I have an Evo 3D GSM the thing is I can't get the mobile internet to work, wifi and internet pass through is working. Tried different roms, different radios, apn settings, hence everything I could find worth trying, but no joy. My carrier says there is no problem from their end. I am pretty helpless now. So I request for some help here...
Currently my Evo x515m is running:
Android 2.3.4
Sense 3.5
InfectedROM Eternity
LeeDrOiD kernel
11.73.3504.00U_11.23.3504.09_M2 radio
Ping results from test menu:
IpAddr: Fail: Ip addr not reachable
Hostname(google.com): Fail: Host unreachable
Cliet test: Fail: IOException
Please someone help me out
No one?
Stay Calm Bro!!
When you said APN settings, did you mean you deleted the APNS which came with the rom and manually typed the settings of your network and maybe then rebooted to see if it worked??

Try going back to stock and calling your service provider and have them reset your signal.

I called them and they said it can be my sim card bandwidth issue so I have to personally visit them which I did and they said all is good from their end. Maybe its related to the newer radio I flashed or the rom or something.
Try reflashing your prior radio.

To be honest I don't remember which radio it had originally and have no backup(yes I know my bad) but I tried some GB based radios from this thread but no joy. For now I am back to 11.73.3504.00U_11.23.3504.09_M2

So your portable hot spot works with your laptop using your connection, but the data on the phone itself doesn't work? So you can't use the web browser or anything?

Can you point me where i can find some info on what ESPT is and what it does and what I can do to it? Google doesn't help me and suggests it as EPST, u did a typo or I am going wrong?
Nah your good it was me on a typo. My bad on that. Have you found the apk??
#Root-Hack_Mod*Always\
I did find a few apks but I am hesitant to push any of it into my evo because in all the cases I have gone through they use it to get higher data speeds specially on sprint network. One, I am not on sprint and two, I am not having any connectivity at all. Ain't concerned about the speed yet. Can you be kind enough to guide me as to where I can find more info about this?
Btw thanks for taking out time and helping me out.
I have the cdma apk but I'm not sure if I works the same on the gsm. All the apk does is allow you to enter the diagnostic mode on your phone. The codes I posted earlier are codes/numbers you need to input into your dialer in order to access the diagnostic menu. Some roms have the newer apk that doesn't allow for the code to gain access so some well quite a few rom developer's include the older apk to allow the user to access the diagnostic menu. Make a backup of your current epst apk and place it on your sd incase you would like to revert. Then you can try out the apk you have found. Or you can download a gsm rom who has the older apk and extract it from there. This was what I was going to do just to be on the safe side because as I said I'm not sure if it's a difference between the cdma apk and the gsm apk. Then you can either push them to /system or if you have root explorer to can just c&p the apk and change permissions then reboot. As long as you have made a copy of you current epst.apk you can always revert back. Also as long as you have a nandroid you just restore.

With the constant ROM switching (Thank you, devs, SOOOOO much!) I was wondering if it is possible to use the wi-fi protected setup button to set up my connection instead of typing in my passwords. I don't see anything about it in the settings so, is it available?
Aaaand nobody has responded, so I think the answer is no. I was wondering the same thing ... This post is the first Google result that comes up for a relevant search on WPS for the Evo 4G LTE.

That is how I set my EVOLTE up at my friends place. Don't remember the exact process, took me a couple tries before I got it right.
I might suggest getting WIFi Recovery key from the play store. Once your keys are in place you can export and/or share your keys in a plain text file.then you could just copy/paste It does work for me. I'd have 4 different ones to setup.
One thing I did when I switched from my EVO3D was copied the file from it to my new EVOLTE and then copy & paste from the text file.

yes why WPS is available on the htc evo 4G lte

Can someone let us know if htc implemented the map profile so we can get email/SMS pushed to our cars? We are testing some iPhones but I do miss the android ecosystem. Thanks!
Can someone who has the phone take a look at the Bluetooth settings and see if there is anything for MAP?

Thanks for the quick reply. Did you also check for any settings for a device that is paired and connected? I'm sorry to bug but I went to an AT&T store yesterday and they had a DEAD htc one on display. It wouldn't boot nor charge. sigh.
Odd, I see this setting on my One. Under Bluetooth -> Advanced, are two options, FTP Server and Message access. Assuming the latter is the MAP setting.
