two weak age i update my atom exec with one of xda-dev roms and after finish upgrading my device just show me o2 logo and after that ... black screen !
what i must do until my device get back?
one of my friends tell me my device is not break just need to upgrade it again with another rom ! i do this work but my device dont connect to activesync
at now what can i do ? plz help me

This is normal experience for newbies. hehe... Maybe what you can do is, hard reset your device 1st and try to connect your USB again. If on your Exec screen shown USB Connected then there should be no problem although on your PC's shown "not connected". Just proceed to do the upgrading once again with another ROM. Hopefully this explaination can help you

Go to Atom Wiki and download this original O2 ROM "Xda-Atom-Exec-ENG-20060721-MOT0822.exe", it works fine and I use it for my Atom Exec.

i do ur procedure but in second step nothing happend!
1. Copy eboot.nb0 (from Atom original O2 ROM) on miniSD in root directory.
2. Insert miniSD in Atom Exec, enter in bootloader (Camera+Soft Reset) and then wait for the process to complete. After completion ur Atom will automatically reboot.
in first line of boot loader screen is right MN2 Bootloader !! but i use the MN1 ???
maybe this problem proper to THis FILe mn1 eboot?
XFACTOR, if u have followed the procedure the bootloader has to change to MN1 as it is necessary to go back to MN1 for the problem to be solved. Please try again as the same procedure I used for 100 of times on my Atom Exec when it is bricked or the Extended ROM is corrupted. Eboot.nb0 that I have posted there on the forum has to be used and insert the Mini SD card and press camera Button alongwith reset button with stylus, this step is tricky as both have to be pressed together. If this does not do the trick then follow another procedure, remove battery for 1 Minute, place the Mini SD card in the slot then while holding camera button and reset button enter the battery. U will enter the bootloader mode which is in DOS like window and it will automatically pickup the eboot.nbo and will start the procedure of downloading from SD card. Yes one thing more the Mini SD card has to be 512 MB otherwise this procedure will not work.

Yes it flikers, I have used it as is three weeks ago, the stupid phone wont start, tried to start it without removing the battery, no avail; removed battery and I put back, color were gone, had to restore the original april rom again.

There is no way to predicte, and no rule of thumb, you have to try it, if it works; display does not flicker, remove the battery and run, if display remains OK, you are lucky.

yes, use the temp method prior to the upgrade,
A way to do it if you still want to proceed the update .
1) Run atom 0426 rom update program, after the DSUU program extracted the files, don't click "next", go to windows/temp folder, copy those files extracted, except "diskimage_Ver.nb0" and "ExtendedRom.img", then save them somewhere else.
2) Run exec rom update program, after the DSUU program extract the files, don't click "next," go to windows/temp folder, overwrite with the files you just saved, this will leave only the diskimage_Ver.nb0 & ExtendedRom.img files as of the july exec rom, others become atom rom files, including an older bootloader which allows you to flash back other roms.
3) Flash.

How to flash it by SD card?
Better if u do it through hard drive(PC) than SD card. Just use ROMUpdateUtility.exe (which will be in the same folder as your new Rom alongwith few dll and exe) few clicks and u r done. Write back if u still face some trouble.
Regarding tricolour screen problem see the video posted by bryangopan.Its good and explanatory.

Hi,
I'm trying to update my phone from last 1 week but god no luck
1st Method I Try:
If I use JumpSPL.exe put 0x10000000 with 1.10-Olipro.nb , I use Power & Camera Buttons, it gets "Not Connected" in ActiveSync and then while I'm holding it, after a couple of sconds, it gets Connected in ActiveSync, I then release Camera and Power, Use ROMUpdateUtility.exe Agree to everything, It gets stared, on 2% of Update, gives me this.

2nd Method I've Tried
Normally connected the phone through cable, did a Sync and ran ROMUpdateUtility.exe, It boots up with tricolor screen, gets to 2% and gives same message as in image.
I have 5 Images downloaded from this site, how can all be bad if users are able to upgrade their OS
Please Help.

Brothers, your SPLs have not got patched that's why u r facing this problem.Try this

Just copy this in your phone and run it.It will automatically flash your SPL and reboot.On reboot you should now see SPL as 1.10OLip.Now u can flash any ROM to your device.

hey i am also having same problem as polifon....tried everything ...the gene is stuck in tricolor screen....not able to load any new rom ...neither the original one is loading....no response from the phone...when i press soft-reset and camera button together i see the tricolor screen and nothing else....

Hello guys, I'm a newbie. I have a "fresh" atom exec with official WM5 installed. I want to upgrade the ROM and I have red the WIKI for Atom but it contain no specific guide for Atom Exec because from what I've read so far, Atom Exec is slightly different and more fragile in term of bootloader or something compared to Atom or Atom Life.
Plus, the WIKI is to technical for a newbie and all the jargon mean nothing to me. eg missing .rgu etc
If somebody kindly enough to create a step by step to upgrade ROM for Atom Exec, I will be very "eternally grateful" (quoted from Toy Story 2).
DSUU FLASHING
The DSUU of the Atom does not allow upgrading of a single firmware component (OS, BOOTLOADER, EXTENDED ROM, RADIO); such that, each time there is an update on a single component (i.e. RADIO), one has to flash everything onto the device for approximately 20-25 minutes. If you are doing a lot of testing, This is an awful lot of time to wait and see the result. SD Card flashing takes only 10min max to download the 62MB OS!
How to Upgrade the ATOM OS using SD Card Flashing:
Requirement: 256MB/512MB miniSD or less (tested to fully work) | 1GB miniSD or more (not supported)
extract diskimage_Ver.nb0 from Atom ROM Upgrade
edit nb0 file using hex editor
remove 12-byte header (08 00 00 00 30 34 32 36 30 36 31 31) and save file as diskimg.nb0
copy diskimg.nb0 into miniSD
enter into bootloader mode: CAMERA+RESET
wait for downloading of OS to finish
it is natural to see error messages like ('couldn't find file....') because we only loaded the one component for update
After a successful update, it will automatically HARD RESET.
Warning! You will brick your device if you mess with the bootloader. The bootloader is only updated on special cases as described in the upgrading problems.
Until you can understand and relate to the termanology I suggest you keep WM5.

let me clarify it ...
there are 2 method to perform upgrade for ATOM EXEC
1. via SC card, yes you can do it but make sure you read the step above properly!! miniSD card 256 and 512 MB only!!
2. via DSUU. for the unofficial ROM, there are some update on the DSUU function. so in other word you can update selected item only like (OS, boot loader, Extended ROM and radio individually).

1. no, the system will prompt you whether you want to install it or not.
2. you can not remove it. extended rom will needed for your radio, wireless, media center, camera, image editor, and photo album.
however you can delete *.cab from there if you want to. use total commander and type _QHiddenPartition in path ... hidden but can viewable if you know the path name

for your information, because im using window seven, my pc cannot support activesny. im using window mobile device center to syncronise my phone, tnrsfer pic,document and other stuff.. if i put the exendrom and diskming in external rom and not in storage card. what could happen??
diskimg.iso or diskimg.nb0?? because after i done download it the extention were .nb0 not .iso..
here it is, da full step for upgrading your atom addean 7469:
1. Copy da files contains diskimg.nb0 and ExtendedRom.img from Helloworld1 to SD card via activesycn,
if u use a card reader that would be great. Just remember to put those two files in da storage card (but not in a folder) like this :
2. Press camera + soft reset button and wait for the upgrading complete (should be for 20 - 25 minutes).
when u see your atom screen like this :
Wait until da process completed and u see da clean boot screen then u have made it.

i try my best when i using window se7en, but the result still -ve, and then i try with my pc that using xp. they can upgrade it easier.. is that bcause platfrom windw se7en couldt support this operation?
I use 1G sd card and dont format my sd card. It isnt successful.

I tried hd2 toolbox to flash roms in bootloader and tryied to flash using sdcard but using hd2 toolbox flash procedures stucks at 0% and using sdcard it gives this error

usb cable & pc with WMDC installed is what I would use, put it in bootloader & connect USB then run the flash utility.
First thing I would do is flash HSPL 2.08. then a htc genuine rom & if that takes properly move on to what ever takes your fancy.

And then try to flash ( RUU_Leo_HTC_ARA_1.66.415.4_Radio_15.32.50.07U_2.07.51.22_2_Signed_LEO_Ship)
but flashing stucks at 0%
and after 6 to 7 minute update error message appears

Well ... as Seen in this HD2 , something is wrong with the motherboard ( as Radio is in trouble ... bad blocks should make this problem ... maybe SD android on MAGLDR should be the Best Choice to use this phone once again as you have problem Flashing ROMs ... ) ... but I recommend you to try a Custom ROM like Energy Too ... maybe you can get that to work ... Good luck

Looking at your spl image you have standard SPL 2.08 not HSPL.
reflash HSPL , soft reset using reset pin in battery by area & try ROM flashing again.
Also remove SD card while flashing via USB & CustomRUU utility.
Worth trying the HTC Europe ROM & a custom ROM such as ENergy as has no radio or SPL bundled in the installer.

First Flash MAGLDR and then ,
Boot with MAGDLR:
1- copy folder (Android) to SD Card .
2- Boot in MAGDLR powering on your phone while you press the power button until MAGDLR appears.
3- Select "SERVICES"
4- Select "BOOT SETTINGS"
5- Select "AD SD Dir"
6- Select the "ANDROID" folder or the folder where you dropped the rom.
7- Now select "BOOT AD SD" and wait boot ..... Good luck
