Greatings ... its a Base Kaiser ROM Kitchen from jcespi2005 and jugglerlkr. I have update HTC Rom Tool and his device config. Auto update from HTC Rom Tool is in this Version disabled!

The word Kaiser and Niki discripe a Device Type! The different are very low. Its more like, some Driver are different. I think, its possible to create a Rom, they will work on both Device! This make it easy for the First Niki Rom.
But the Base of the niki kitchen are files from touch dual?
So i can make my own "bistorage" rom without the need of more files?
And there is no need to alter something for 16 oder 20 key version?

well actually I know that niki and kaiser are names of two different devices..I was just wondering which were the differences between the two Roms..
anyway I see that they are almost the same, but the main thing is to make easier to cook new roms for the niki..and this is great

if want make bigstorage we need edit xip and some sector in IMGFS.I working in it and will have answer right for all as soon
for bigstorage ... i must talk with a core developer. i think, if bigstorage works on kaiser ... it will work on niki too! both device are not realy different in the main component like imgfs/rom.
i will test this option in the next hours ...
about 16key version and 20key version ... this isnt a problem! a guy have test on his 16 key niki the 20 key asia rom and it works! i think both keyboarddrivers are included!
Ok, seem like I (Noobinoob) didn't get the point of "Bigstorage".
I always thought this simply means removing all unnecessary things
to get a big storage
After searching for Nigstorage i found thousands of threads with ROMs,
but no explanation.
Will there be no more free space i u simplay remove things?
Is there more to do? Or is Bigstorage simply a trick to use even more Space thats normaly reserved for something else?

Bigstorage means to change the Partition Size of the Rom. The Rom havent any space to store future updates via Windows Mobile Update Service. This save Space! If you clean up your rom ... dump useless option / Programm / WinCEServices ... you can create more space with the bigstorage mod!
The first Roms from Prophet, are without bigstorage. If you add Programms over the Original Rom Size, the Tools cant handle it and write errors. Bigstorage can resize for optimum space.

yes.U can do it.kitchen Auto make bigstorage but it not real bigstorage.We have other way get bigstorage real.
But still working in it.

There are some roms that don't allow the hardware 16keys keypad working properly. Finally i managed to solve this problem
To make the keypad work follow these steps:
1.Terminate "SIPGT_app.exe" process with a task manager.
2.Delete in registry the key
Code:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Tegic]
with a registry editor. REBOOT.
3.Install this cab (REBOOT) and the language packs you need.
3.Reboot your phone and you'll have a working 16 keys keypad!

I closed my project of an italian rom for 16 keys keypad cause i found a solution working for other roms. So enjoy.
That's why I use the BJK 16 & 20 key cabs separately in my ROMs as they cater specifically for the different hardware types.

Manila - 2.5.19211619.0
Radio - 2.05.51.05_2
Protocol - 15.28.50.07U
I have flashed 2 ROMs so far (PDAVIET v09, then freyberry_premium_V5.3_23518). Both have the Documents Tab which works great for me. Unfortunately, i've had to re-flash my HD2 to the stock ROM because of Chinese language, localized Opera, and other features made for the Asia region.
Would it be possible that I can install only the Documents Tab, (perhaps via a CAB file or some other method), onto my existing ROM?
While I have made every effort to search the forum and google for alternatives without any solution, I apologize if this question has been asked and answered before.
Many thanks in advance (for any solution that would make my HD2 the dream phone that it already almost is) !

not possible, the manila files need to be cooked inside the rom, manila 1921xx doesnt have the documents tab option try using roms with manila 1922xx.

2.5.1921.1619 - no documents-tab, no landscape
2.5.1921.4010 - documents-tab, no landscape
2.5.1922.2911 - documents-tab, landscape
i think it should be possible to cab the documents-page (only wwe).
i don't own wince cab manager... maybe later...

unfortunately, I have not found a Rom with manila 2.5.1922 that is very close to stock, has Chinese input, documents tab, wm6.5 instead of 6.5.x..

You can try Flashmore cooked rom, it come with chinese input, and others similar feature you are looking for.

this cabs are for 1.66-1.XX-stock-rom-users (german and english). this are first experimental test-cabs.
creating this cabs took me around 3 hours.
please test first and report back... not tested. testing 2.09-rom.....

I remember when installing MTP that you had to delete HKLM/software/HTC/Manila/configuration so it can rebuild.
Also you might need to delete /Windows/ManilaFull.xml.
You may also need to edit 26948339_manila file to add new session.

What do you think if we could enjoy a wm6.1rom combined with manila2012 and radio 5005.1600.05.
currently I'm using FFBOY'S WM6.1 21057 With Radio Version 5005.1600.05 and manilla 2012 CAB version.
It works like a charm, with an average of 65mb free running manilla you can use IGO Garmin and other GPS software with no promlem at all.

Read my thought, i was actually about to ask at least a guide as how to include the sense cabs in a rom so they install after the rom has been installed. Sense is reaaly sluggish if installed afterwards as opposed to being part of the rom. At least a specific cooking guide

wm 6.5 stock + sense 2012 stock radio would be good. sense 2012 was designed for wm 6.5 not 6.1 or 6.5.5, thats why there are so many problems with ram.

You are right.... wm6.5.5 needs to much ram memory to run and... combined with sense ui 2012 will use all the memory tg01 has, it will only have 30mb free, with this amount of ram left you cannot run anny application.
This is why I'm asking for wm6.1 or wm6.5 stock+sense 2012-60mb free ram average.
Currently I'm running wm 6.1 + sense 2012 and It works pretty good.

I am aware of that rom but it is sense 1922 arogon has released a nunmber of 6.5 roms with sense 2011(no landscape and buggy sms ) on boot with all tabs, they have 64mb ram currently using v.011. Check out the post i made on acer roms, perhaps someones could use that later sense build.

I have an HD2 with ROM version 1.66.707.1 (76641) WWE, downloaded from the HTC website. This particular ROM version includes a keyboard with chinese input, and naturally the device has no problem displaying chinese characters throughout all apps.
Now I'd like to try out some custom roms, like i did on my previous HD, but I wouldn't like to lose this native chinese support feature (on my HD i had to install fonts, a SIP, and so on...), as I currently live in China. So, my question:
Is there a way to add this native chinese input and display support to custom roms, or, alternatively, are there custom roms already with native chinese support?

I use a cab install by Tom Cordon which adds font support and also the A4 Chinese / English keyboard. search for it or pm me with ur email addy if you need me to send it.

On the HD I have tried (with success) that aproach: I have installed the A4 SIP, ported from the HTC Rhodium, and also installed a chinese font (simsum or sunglobe) and made some registry tweaks, so chinese characters would display when necessary.
But I enjoy having on my HD2 this native support, which works flawlessly, and I kinda prefer this SIP to the A4. Here are some screenshots.

Thanks for the reply Waichai.
After many hours of search, i came to the conclusion there what I want is not available: a CAB install of ezinput CHS. If i want it, i will only find it on the stock rom, or already cooked into a custom rom.
So there's no alternative besides installing the fonts and a SIP, just like I did on my HD. But I hope one day someone can make the Ezinput CHS into a CAB, that would be just what I (and many other people, I have found out) want.
