Finally!! An Italian Rom! - Touch Pro, Fuze ROM Development

A real big work was shared by our friend MAJA, the tir team made for us italian people the fantastic TiR v8R + PDM 4.0.0.0.
This nice and stable rom fixed the majority (i don't know if fixed all problems, i've installed it last night..) of problems that the TP has!
Very stable, today no crashes happened to my device.
Very fast, very very fast.
More space was added for installing our many programs, battery draining is reduced..
so in conclusion.. watch this link:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=437832
download this fantastic rom and post what you thinking about!
Nice work guy! Our Italian community is proud of it!

(this shouldn´t make tom work faster... i can wait... i think it´s really annoying for him if we always ask when the rom is being released...)

Currently using Niki project v1. (its working good for me)
Can't wait Tom release project v2.
worth for the time on waiting.
+1
First of all a big "Thanx" for giving the Niki community the first cooked rom...and it was a GREAT rom!
Second thanx for trying to give us an even better rom...once the bugs will be fixed, it will be even greater.
I'd like also to point out that Tom is no employee of any member of the community...
so no one should stress in terms of date releasing as well as for any other thread (e.g. WIFI project)...
My best wishes to get better from flue and good luck with your projects.
respekt to tom and all his awesome work.
thank you for making our phones something great... greater than what HTC could have achieved

Completly clean WM6.1 ROM?

Hi guys, I've been trying to find a ROM that's just basically an English WM6.1 ROM - no extras, just the bare necessities. Is there one available? All I can seem to find are tweaked ROMs with a bunch of extra features I don't need, and mods I don't want...
-edit- Screw that, I was just looking in the wrong place. Guess I should've just looked in the ROM directory
this is the best I found around here...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=417657
100% clean, ultrafast; perfectly working
Thanks for the tip!
Right now I'm using Cloudyfa's [wm6.1]S4V.19209.01 Clean Edition (UC), and it kicks ass. Much more stable than Transformer1.1 WM6.0.
If S4V starts going to hell on me I'll give Prophet Future a try - but so far I'm very happy with S4V...

i will take the liberty to recommend this one http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=386050 as the version you are using has some minor bugs. I fumbled around quite a lot with Cloudyfa's roms since they are the best in my eyes. but i as well don't like all this crapware on my machine. i love choosing for myself. that's why i finally made my own mod and would call it probably the closest to "original" if there was an official wm6.1 release for the prophet.

...AND its my great pleasure to acknowledge chriskay's claim with fullest contentment.....that, Chriskay's revived is the best of 6.1 CLEAN ROMs around which have no bugs so far (I have been using it for loOOOng time). I switch to other ROMs for fun because there are realy good ones out there.
BUT considering CLEAN and STABLE - there is few choices,
1. Inteks v3 and v5 series (fastest of all ROMs, have bugs, need many customization before using)
2. Chriskays Merge revived (No bugs, stable, fast)
3. l3vsy is ROM (mentioned above in #2) have bugs: bluetooth activesync failed for me - I like to stay on my sofa and do things using my PDA through activesync via BT, so no go for me! Except for that, it's good one, very fast (er > chriskay)
So, I really have no clouds in my mind declaring chriskay's ROM as the favourite one for me.
Hope you find your dream ROM soon!

Hi Chriskay,
What minor bugs are you thinking of? I haven't found any yet. I'm just glad to finally have a ROM that doesn't crash every few hours

as far as i remember, infrared did not work and the keypad backlight did not switch on again once it went off.
there is a fix for IR floating around the forum, but the kepad backlight cannot be fixed so easily. that's why Cloudyfa put out a new rom with this issue corrected.
apart from that, i cannot remember anything. as i said: only minor bugs (if you don't use IR).
Cheers.
Okies, I don't use IR - but what's this about the keypad backlight? Mine seems to be working fine...

How to recalibrate the battery
(thanks helgee):
1. Discharge the device. Absolutely.
2. Take out battery to 40-60 sec.
3. Put the battery to the place. Don't switch on the device!
4. Charge the device by normal way (not by usb!) to the full state (green LED).
5. Take out battery again for 40-60 sec.
6. Put the battery to the place.
7. Switch on the device.
That's all.
When you change the rom to another (another drivers base), calibrating is recommended.
Some screenshots would be nice ;-)

WOW very faster ROM!Спасибо
Yeah another great Chef! loved your Diamond 1 roms!! Looking forward to this.
Damn fast rom. I don't quite like the grey dark kind of theme but the icons are beautiful (just my preference - not complaint).
It would be good to have Titanium in the rom or as an addon cab.
Thank you.

I did the short one test. But for right compare, need yours testing, of course.

mondliv, nice to see u here. Heloo to Nataly. I was worried that you will not start cooking a rom for TD2.

Who's your favorite chef?

Who's your favorite chef? What rom are you running, and why do you like them?
Energy ROM Leo edition
Roms with the new WM (for exapmle WM 6.5.3)
And i use them because he is a man, he knows what he's doing, stable fast smooth ROMs and when he made some mistake he repared it
Monx, without question
Vote for your favorite Chef
There is a link in my sig to a site where you can vote for your favorite chef!
Not exactly a chef but, as far as I can tell, without Itsme's tools created long ago we wouldn't have much of anything here. He doesn't get credited much here and I think he deserves it.
And he's still writing tools sometimes:
http://www.xs4all.nl/~itsme/
Shep by far is the man! His ROM is 99.99% bugfree IMO. always willing to help when there questions that needs answering
I use EnergyROM exclusivly. NRGZ28 is the master of the ROMs as far as I'm concerned. The reason I like his ROMS are because of the smooth UI, and the enhanced performance of the phone. Battery life isn't a problem for me, because I have a 3000mAh battery installed in my phone. I am currently running biuld 28005 Pheonix.
IMHO,
I like ALL the chefs and ALL the ROM's they produce.
What's nice with liking ALL the chefs and ALL the ROM's they produce is that it doesn't instill a sense of rivalry amonst them; as each chef spends countless hours preparing the new ROM's for members to use. And as most devotees can attest, each ROM has really nice features that the chef likes and feels a member will like.
Thumbs up to all chefs who contibute their time and effort!

[Last Update: July 9th] Complete Mirror of all ROMs [Cancelled]

Dear fellow xda-ers
for months now (in fact, since I got my TD2 in october) I have been frustrated with how slow many of the ROM-downloads were (thank you RapidShare -.-) and how I could often only get one of a couple of ROMs I wanted to try at once.
Fortunately, recently many devs have started using multiupload to at least marginally improve the situation.
However, there are still very few who (can) offer high-speed downloads and so I have been working on a solution to help all you faithful users as well as the devs.
Using Wuala I have been creating a mirror for many of the recent ROM releases (mainly WWE versions) as well as some old verions which I have used and/or tried in the past.
Here you will be able to find a large collection of ROMs sorted by their author and series.

This list is obviously still incomplete so I am making the following offer to ROM-cooks: Anyone who is looking for a free mirror that is capable of delivering >1Mbyte/s speeds (and also high speeds to countries like China) without waiting times to a virtually unlimited amount of users, PLEASE CONTACT ME!
If there is enough interest for it I will provide cooks with the means to upload ROMs into the webspace themselves!
Anyone who would like me to remove his/her ROM is also welcome to contact me and I will remove the files asap.
PS: Let me know what you think and which ROMs you would like to see on here.

You are welcome to use my server to complete your collection and offer a second mirror for the ROMs. Mu server is quite fast for connections from Asia, but slow for US and Europe, so a another mirror is welcome!
If you need FTP access, its available as well.
Thank you very much. It's good to have alternative mirror.
@ BeeGee:
Will do. Altough I believe not all of the cooks on that list are still active ^^
Shadowline posted somewhere that he won't be active in the foreseeable future for personal/work-related reasons.
@all: Wuala offers direct links, however, it is actually based on a distributed file system. I used this frequently during my half-year stay in china last year because european/american mirrors are extremely poor for mainland china. You can max out just about any connection with this system. (I used to have a 60KByte/s connection in china, but a friend of mine had 400KByte/s and we were able to max out his connection as well. In europe I can get close to the 6.5MByte/s my connection delivers at the moment.)

Sounds good with this distributed file system. And my offer is still valid, you can use my FTP to fill up your mirror. And if your service is stable and stays up to date, I can retire
I'm using your FTP already BeeGee. Its very helpful in a lot of respects. But I filtered out ROMs that were older than February.
The list got a lot longer since the last time I updated. Check it out ^^
FWIW, some chefs release seldom, but their ROMs are still very active, i.e. Dutty HG 10. or perhaps older Sense 2.1 ROMs
It may help to watch the ROM forum and see which threads are active.
Thats exactly what I have been doing for the most part. Threads that have no posts in a month dont really qualify as active in my opinion.

DarkStriker,
Thanks for the efforts and sharing. Downloading now and the speed is definitely very very fast. Much appreciated.
Appreciated =)
All ROMs should be up to date again.
Any suggestions on how to make this better are always welcome =)
I added view counts (as generated by wuala) as a crude measure of popularity. Altough most ROMs are (so far) in about the same range (0-40 Views), some (like Energy and Nataly) stand out with a lot more views than most others.
What surprised me personally was how many views Dutty's HG was still getting (despite the long time since the last release)
I will update these about every 1-2 weeks.
When looking at these also keep in mind that not all ROMs were there from the start so some of the diffrences are caused by that.
All ROMs have been updated again and also ASerg's new version is uploading right now.
sakajati's TopazDragon is uploading as well
Uploading done so get your new Roms now!
thank you for your mirror, really fast download from there...
