This app is sweet and works with DCD 3.2.5 on my 6800. Very similar to Pandora if you have heard of that. Check it out. I can stream the stereo audio with bluetooth through my car's stereo.

This program does not work on DCD 3.2.5. I get a parameter error:
The parameter is incorrect.

Not sure how to fix that error but it definatley works on DCD 3.2.5 because that is what I am running.
hmmm interesting, I wish I could get more help with this....
You might get more help if you tell everyone what phone you have and carrier etc. Do you have a login for Last.fm? You have to have a login which you can get on their website. Once you have that you can enter it on your PPC to login. without a login it won't work. FYI.
This works great!! Thanks.

Ok.
Verizon XV6800
Rom: DCD 3.2.5
Radio: 3.42.50
I do not have a Last.fm Login but I don't see how that would matter if the app won't launch due to the error I posted earlier.

Hey there try this...Last.FM mobile has been renamed to pocket scrobbler. It is the same thing but less buggy etc. You can find instructions on how to make sure it is all setup correctly here. I have also attached the .cab for pocket scrobbler.
http://www.last.fm/group/Pocket+Scrobbler/forum/84480/_/379147
Thank you very much. Works like a charm. This app is great!
For what it's worth, the last.fm app -didn't- work for me until I logged into the application.
**** this scrobller thing works greater
I understand this app is open source. Any chance some of our great developers could bring some polish to it. Maybe even Slide2Play could incorporate the code?
I miss album art in particular.
Surur
this app called lastradio jus works better. smoother and the stream starts much faster. only thing though, you can only choose one artist at a time and it plays based off that selection. so if i pick tupac....now i get all rap stuff, if i pick marvin gaye...now i get all soul music. wish it could pick up my specific station so i could get the variety without having to manually switch the artist.
if that wasn't the case with this app, it would be beating pocket scrobbler, but it is the case.....so it's a absolute draw. This app is just as good as pocket scrobbler for the fact that there's no jumps in the music. just smooth.

Hi all,
I have been trying for weeks to get the IM.apk on my htc hero by installing it through appinstaller and pushing it through terminal. I also put the ImProvider.apk, TmoImPlugin.apk, com.android.im.plugin.jar and so on. I have tried everything to get it working. All i want is the native IM app that has msn and yahoo because it was my favorite on the G1. I use google talk but i also want the official IM app. Anyone figure out a way to do this? I have been at this for weeks. Please help me, thanks

Anyone knows how can we install this IM?

Just an FYI, but it's largely a waste of time unless you happen to be a T-Mobile US customer since it doesn't work over cellular data for the more common protocols (AIM, MSN etc). If you are a T-Mobile US customer, it will "work" via a cellular connection, but does so using SMS messages - if you have any other carrier SIM, it will complain that it cannot read your phone number.
If you just want to use if over WiFi - it works fine.
There was a hacked version of this floating round the Dream forums some time ago that did allow proper cellular data instant messaging, but I've no idea what happened to it.
Regards,
Dave

Actually, this is being worked on at the moment by inkredi and myself. Progress can be tracked through the thread that inkredi linked to. Both of us have some ideas, but not a ton of time to work on it. I'm fairly confident we'll get it working 100% fairly soon though.
Hey,
I'm wondering if the hero can play radio content from bbc iplayer website? I've heard that there are performance issues with videos on iplayer, but is radio OK?
(By the way, I know about the beebplayer app, which is great for video, but AFAIK doesn't play radio shows from iplayer, the only radio it had on the version I looked at is live radio. So I'm asking about listening to iplayer radio shows using the iplayer website.)
If anyone in the UK want's to try this out for me that'd be great. Here's a link to a radio show from yesterday, so if this works hopefully everything will:
bbc.co.uk/iplayer/console/b00s35z1
(I'm a new user so can't post links, that should have a "www" at the start of it really.)
Oooh, also, could someone check out whether this works on the hero:
news.bbc.co.uk/today/hi/today/newsid_8633000/8633988.stm
It's another clip of radio from the bbc, but looks completely different from iplayer, so could be using a different tech for all I know. (This is how they include audio clips in their news articles, including on the Today program's site where they have all the interview from each show listenable individually, which is pretty handy.)
Thanks!
Paul
Tried listening to 1xtra from the iplayer website yesterday,... No sound played.
Trying your links now though,... give me a few minutes.
I have just tried your first link in the stock browser.
Results are as follows:
- loading
- loading seems to freeze
- loading again
- loaded details of show (no sound yet)
- seems as though its trying to play but keeps refreshing its little window
Error - "Insufficient bandwidth to play"
This could be as I only have 2 bar 3g or following BBC's guidance you need wifi connection.
It looks like it wants to work though so if someone can test with a wifi connection.....
Nope,... Im trying with wi-fi,... No luck though. The 1st link loads up correctly, says its playing, but there is no sound and the time counter does not change.
Was the same using my data connection yesterday.
I'll try the 2nd one now,.... Dont get your hopes up.
Nope,.... Sorry,... Its a no go.
Just keeps loading, and loading,.... and loading!!!!
EDIT,....... Tried with Opera and says need to install Flash player,.... DAMIT!!!! All i want to do is listen to 1xtra,... and BeebPlayer doesn't work for me. Maybe we'l get a better browser with 2.1,.... or we'll have to hold out for Skyfire to be released.
That sucks. Thanks for trying though, and for the very speedy replies
beebplayer app now supports radio! only in the last few days though. oh and you will need the new version.

I'm presuming that the apks wont work in countries where the Sony entertainment suite isn't supported, just like the ps store ?
Quite right
You can install the apk's but if you are not in a country that supports them they will not work.

cheers a random person.
to confirm above experiences, yes apps install but you need to be in compatible region for them to actually work as they all go online to check etc.
I'm not sure whether the region is tied to your IP address or your actual device, if the latter then I'm not going to be to happy ROFL since I could very well have bought it in Australia (where everything IS working) instead of Hong Kong (where nothing is working... which is the exact opposite of the usual situation, but I digress).
I bought my sgpt111US/S in the us, since I'm here for vacation. Normaly I live in Sweden. Here in us the music and video and ps store all works well. I will go back home to Sweden on the 10th of january. Iwill ofcourse try and see if these apps works back home. If no one has chacked this issue before then I'll be happy to oblige.
Not sure though however if Sweden is included in the list of countries that works.
It will be an us machine on swedish soil.
Music Unlimited in Canada
I noticed yesterday that I was able to finally download the Music Unlimited app from the market with my Sony arc. Until now it was not available in Canada. I installed it on my desktop, set up the account synced my music to the service then checked on my Arc to see if it was working. Everything was fine.
The catch was when I went to access the application on my Tablet S through the market. Nowhere to be found. I then accessed the market online through the desktop and found the application but it would not allow a download to any of my devices stating that it is unavailable in my country. Undeterred I checked here, found the APK (thanks , transferred it onto the tablet, installed it and had no issue and everything is fine.
It may just be because it's new to Canada and has not been enabled within all the markets yet for Canada. Going to see if I can get it working on the PS3 now.
Can someone share the latest music unlimited app to me? Thanks.
Because it required me to update and I am not able to download it from android market due to not available in my country.
Thanks.

If you can find or maybe have the latest tablet version if would like to have it also.
A PM or a link would be great!
I searched and found nothing for exactly what I'm looking for. Apologies if there is and I didn't find it.
I've tried these two programs...
- ClockWork Tether
- PDANet+
They work great... except when I try to stream from Netflix/Amazon/Hulu/Etc...
I'm looking for a way to stream videos through these major streaming sites with my AT&T HTC One without AT&T knowing I'm tethering to a laptop or a desktop.
I've tried both of these and found I could browse the web just fine... but when I hit Netflix, for example, it tells me I don't meet the requirements for the stream... which is related to how Tether/PDANet+ proxy the connection... I'm guessing.
The site doesn't see the laptop/computer as a viable streaming platform.
Has anyone ever gotten either of these, or a 3rd app, to work by streaming content but at the same time hiding from AT&T's tether detectors?
HTC One
Cyanogen MOD 10.1
Any help or a firm "THIS CAN'T BE DONE" would be appreciated.
Thanks!
