Try reflashing the SHIPPED STOCK ROM - the rom it came with. This may fix your No GSM problem.
Please note though that once the radio rom gets stuffed it is a SERIOUS pain to get working with a very low success rate.

Try a hard reset, hold both soft keys in and reset with stylus. Hold all buttons in until it asks if you wish to reset to factory. Follow directions.
If you haven't already, install Hard SPL, quick search will find it. Then you have to find the ORIGINAL ROM YOUR HERMES CAME WITH... Good luck as this is probably the hardest part...
No guarantees it will work though...

i can not install any hard SPL because i have Level=FF so i can not downgrade to SPL 1.09 or 1.01 (i have now 2.03)
is there solution of this problem

means that your device is CID locked. I've got the same issue

Having been happily using one of the popular WM6 roms for a while now, I'm trying to load on one of the official WM6 roms. The problem is, I can never get past the "Verifying the information on your Hermes...Please wait..." and then Update Error [260].
When I run the update, it reboots the device to the bootloader and has the following info:
HERM100
IPL-SSPL by Des
HERM100
SPL-1.09.ds
However, when I boot the phone into the bootload by holding down the ok and power button's while resetting, I get the following BL details:
HERM100
IPL-1.01
HERM100
SPL-1.06
I cannot get any other roms at all to work on the phone. I can't get the Hard SPL to load on the phone, I can't perform any sort of upgrade at all
Sincerely hoping I don't have to live with this rom for the rest of my life.
Ok, I think it might be a Vista issue. Just tried on a whim on a workmates Windows 2000 box, and it's flashing now.
Yes, Vista drivers do not work woth the custom flash RUU's. There is a way to make it work on Vista by replacing some of the drivers, but is kind of a pain.
Sounds like I'll just stick with using another box.
Really starting to regret jumping the gun on the Vista install. Ah well ,thems the breaks.

Yes, but as far as I am aware, the drivers in the WMDC are not compatible with the custom RUU's made to flash unnoficial roms.

I've got XP loaded in bootcamp / parallels on a Mac that I use for things like this and it's never given me a second of trouble.
I think that says far more about how poor Vista has been than pages and pages of ranting ever could.

Before you try and flash anything else onto the phone you really want to get HardSPL on there, so i'd concentrate on trying to get that installed.
Is the phone sim/cid unlocked? which rom did you manage to flash?
I have the Hard SPL, but didn't load that on the 2k box. I just loaded the latest WM6 dopod rom. All working well so far.
If I understand correctly, loading on the HardSPL will just change the bootloader process, and not the actual rom?

it will help safeguard you against bricking your device.
And no it wont overwrite the ROM you have on now.
I'v been up for 24 hours. I have searched, read eveything, DL every tool, rom I could find and I am tired and upset. I have followed every post to the line.
I have a G4. I used the shelltool and flashed the TNT_5.0_Wizard_Professional to it. It booted once and worked great but has never booted since. It gets to the HTC screen. and shows the IPL 2.28.0001 and the SPL 2.28.0001 the GSM 02.25.11 and the OS 6.0.0.0
At this point I don't know what to do to unbrick my phone. I tried to go into bootloader and reflash the ROM but it always gives me a no communication error. Any advice or any one having this problem and had any luck fixing this would be super helpful.

You don't have a brick
Load the wizard into bootmode (start and keep voicecommand button pressed until you see a three colored screen)
Then kill active sync (wcescomm.exe in taskmanager).
Connect your device
Load the original rom and flash.
After that you can reflash almost any rom to your G4 with Soft SPL.
Its faster than shelltool
Or you can CID unlock it using hard SPL, and run the Ruu from the ROM itself.
Before using Soft SPL or Hard SPL read the threads first.

Two things:
1- 'No communication' can come from low voltage battery. Be sure to have it more than 60% before changing ROMs
2-The TNT 5.0 is a cooked ROM and is smaller than the Official ROMs.
TNT5.0 - 0x3800000
Official - 0x3900000
Which means that ShellTools can hang because of the size difference.
You don't have a brick

It's not a brick yet.
Have you tried Mestrini's tip, regarding fully charging the device?
You can also try to use another usb port and better yet, another computer, even if the initial flashing was from the computer you are using now.

i have been from that state already..
just use the wizard_love ROM..
yea, they are right.. you have to be in that 3 color screen..
then kill the active sync or uncheck usb connection in connections settings.
then flash the wizard love ROM..
after that, u cud flash any WM6 again..

You might need to reflash it. Hold the two soft keys and then push the reset button. it will ask to hard reset. If the phone fails to come on after the hard reset, then hold the left 'ok' key and the power button, and then push the reset under the phone- this will take you to a tricolor screen where you can then re-flash the phone. try reflashing with official rom's, before using any other roms.
yes i do but it still in boot any sugest ipl 1.01 spl 1.40 olipro if any know how to update ipl with hard spl or how to remove hard spl it will be aprecible
My suggestion would be to try using sd to reflash the rom and see if that orks. format sd card making sure its fat 32 then put .nbh file in root directory. rename to herimg.nbh then insert into phone. go to bootloader and it should start the flash straight away. if this works make sure you upgrade spl to olipro 2.10 hard spl so its easier if there are problems. you can possibly upgrade spl this way too (get nbh file and rename hermimg.nbh). I tried this on my herme 100 and it seemed to work. it will flash the spl BUT when it restarts it will go straight to bootloader and start flashing again. as soon as it restarts get the sd card out and put on the os you want to flash. insert card and as long as you've named it hermimg.nbh it should flash new os with spl olipro 2.10. Good luck flashing.

1st of all, have you gone to read the Wiki as suggested?
2nd what methods have you tried to unbrick your device?
If you can't answer these questions then we can not help you, you keep asking for suggestions but you do not even reply to other's questions!

Can anyone please post a guide on how to flash Hard-SPL onto my HTC TYTN.
The guide for installing Hard-SPL onto the HERMES is not available anymore, and i am EXTREMELY confused about what im doing, and i am afraid i will brick my phone if i do something wrong.

It really isn't hard to do. But be sure you know what you are doing btw. SO read the sticky!
Basically you just download the flavor of Hard SPL you want (I used 2.10 which I can recommend, very easy to downgrade to factory SPL again as I just learned!).
After download unzip the folder and run the RUUWrapper. Follow instructions exactly, do nout unplug your device etc. and it should work like a charm. It takes about 1 minute!
If you don't know what you are doing or you are still doubting, wait for Mr Vanx site to come online again or don't flash. There is always a risk you screw up and end with a $500 brick.
So use at your own risk!

hi guys have tried to update mine today on a jasjam it connects sys it updating but starts at 0% then just jumps to 100% and says flash finished but when i restart the phone it still has the same loader what am i doing wrong i want to update it from windows 5 to windows 6 using crc-9 but don't want to update till i do the loader any help from you guys would be great

Mine is doing the exact same thing. Starts at 0% and jumps to 100% and says it is done, but it has done nothing.

the SPL flash is VERY quick.
I'll ask YOU this aswell, put your device into bootloader mode and tell us what it says.

thanks for your reply after checking the bootloader it has changed to 2.10 olie it did it so fast i thought it had failed will check properly next time and have successfully flashed it to crc 9 and it runs great thanks for all the help

I appreciate your reply Mr. Vanx. Same as with puca, I put my phone into the bootloader mode and it does indeed show the correct 2.10 Olipro version. This is the 3rd 8525 I have had and I could have SWORN it took much longer on the first 2. Even the update from WM5 to WM6 seemed to take much less time with this particular phone. Guess I shouldn't really complain
Downgrade Error 260
Hi Mr Vanx I have followed your guide to downgrade my current SSPL (2.10 Olipro) to SSPL (1.11). But I keep getting error 260. I have followed guide step by step.
I have even tried flashing from SD-Card (by renaming to HERMING.nbh). Process runs successfully, but nothing happens.
Its still showing SSPL-2.10 Olipro in bootloader. Am I missing anything?

can some one point me to the guide. I am facing a NO GSM problem on vodafone VPA 1605 with following config:
ROM Version: 1.20.161.6
Radio: 1.03.06.00
CID: VODAP001
Bootloader: 1.04
I do not see the radio version or the IMEI. So I would like to do a HARDSPLv7 followed by Radio ROM update to 1.06.00.10. I hope this will work. Seniors may help with their sggestion.

I have an I-mate 9502 but my problem is for pocket pc generaly.
I installed a program for sound, When I do a soft reset it hangs on Blue Imate page and didn't boot.
I tried to hard reset but it dosen't worked too(I know hard reset of it, is Green+FN+Power button) but it don't work, Also I tried to install a fresh Rom but it need to loud windows.
Please help how to hard reset it.

After Flashed with the new ROM, My Device is now stuck in iMate Blue Screen Logo....!!!
But Don't worry Guys...it can be solved with manually hard Reset...
1. Remove battery and reinsert (to make sure the phone is off).
2. Hold down Fn and the Green button (with the phone icon on it) and press the power button.
3. You will see the white hard reset option screen almost immediately. Press the Left Soft Key to hard reset.

hey iv been trying to flash this hermes for my friend, but the rom flasher wont detect my phone ones its in bootloader mode(yes i have usb connection turned off in active sync) but it does detect it in windows, and another question, can i flash the hard spl from sdcard or not? bare in mind this phone is factory default so no hard spl, i did run sspl so know its hard spld sort off, so yea any help would be gladly appreciated
I had the same problem...
Use a different USB cable, I have like 15 of them, and not all are same...even
though it seems so. (Don't ask me why - LOL)...
Anyways... I would do the HARD SPL flash, in-case of bad flashing of the ROM...
This will save your phone...
Now to the point.... do a MANUAL setting of the boot-loader (POWER+OK+RESET)
Easiest way to do this is HOLD DOWN the POWER+OK, and while HOLDING DOWN
POWER+OK hit the RESET button until the phone goes into BOOT-LOADER mode.
Then try and do a SSPL safe mode flash. this is how I do it and it is so much easier, then trying the other ways.

ok im using another usb cable and it works, but when i try to update to the striped img it compains that its corrupted, iv downloaed like 2 times i know its nto corrupted, i also tried to flash 6.5 and the same happens img file corrupted, i really dont know whats wrong

I had the same problem on windows vista and 7 so i installed xp and it works fine...
Reset into bootloader. If the SPl is 1.09 desi then you can install Hard SPL using the sd card method. If not then go to page 116, post 1160 of the Hard SPL sticky and use those instructions. Just make sure you install Hard SPL V7, must say IPL - 1.04 & SPL - 2.10 oli after flash in bootloader. Then you can flash using the sd card method, just drop all steps using sspl.exe,.
