My Touch Pro restarts Touch Flo every so often. It generates a dmp file in the HTCLog folder. Anyone know how I can find out what is causing the restarts?
I now have 5 .dmp files in the log folder.

Well i do not have any of your problems.. So i think you are doing something wrong.. The problem with E-mail, WLM and GPRS settings is probably because you use the stylus to soft reset the phone. This makes the phone lose all its settings. Therefore i would suggest you use a program like PsShutXP. This program can soft reset like when you use the stylus, but it writes your changes to the registry before it resets, which makes your phone not loose your settings.. I had the same problem like you untill i began using psshutxp.
You could also just make a clean shutdown as soon as you have done your changes. Just hold the shut down button until a warning comes up, and then answer yes.. Then turn back on..
RE
What about WM6 stop responding. You have to use the pen for reset. This will may cause loosing those settings. This is not an acceptable solution. I use soft reset programs and it is true but othewise...
I have to reinstall everithing all the time. I'm loosing my patience. No one is able to remedy that problem?

Hi guys,
I am sure that you all know about MS WIndows, if you push the reset button on your computer, the running application and data will be lost.
Do the same with ur PDA, Just close your application after you used it (using task manager or something else), so if it is freeze your data still available in your PDA.
I hope it might be helped.
sorry if i have mistaken

I haven't seen anyrom yet that lets you be able to do this. But just make your changes (GPRS settings, WLM settings and more) and then shut down the device and after that turn it on again. Then you cant lose those settings.. And if it freezes, use the stylus, the settings that you have changed before the normal shutdown will still be saved.
RE
I know that but with one single notification... On PDA, mail is everytime opened and cannot be closed. Once you reset the device, will loose mail settings. All the data setting in your mail are stored in "cemail.vol". This cannot be saved because is opened all the time.

I press OK but i can't start any of the programs I have installed
I have also downloaded a taskmanager that don't work anymore.

How did you solve this problem? I just got the same about 5 minutes ago after my battery went dead and i had to restart my HD2.
The last 10% of the battery suck out it in less than an hour

For me, the problem was CHT 1.8.5. I had 4 fatal errors in 4 days. Hardware reset, then installed 1.8.0 perfect, no probs so far.

I had this problem because I installed 'gprs traffic monitor' to my storage card.
I removed that program and reinstalled to the phone memory, all works perfectly now.
And I'm using CHT 1.8.5 without any problems.
I see.
Well I had 1.8.5 with GPRS traffic monitor on the card also. Next hardware reset I will take your advice and move it to phone mem.
Thanks for the info.
No worries.
Over time I realised it's best to install certain programs to the phone memory.
(CHT, services, various mods, etc...)
The storage card method can be 'buggy' at times.
Anyone know how to solve this problem?? The phone won't go into standby mode. it just stays at the lock screen
Video on my problem
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ej_TzilZITk
Anyone can help please??
no one can help me??
Looks like you are using the CHT lock screen, know issue, buggy, a search would have found it ....

Well that lock screen in the video is not the stock lock screen, what mod are you using on it ....
Whatever mod you are using, could be the problem ....

Are you using CHT lockscreen? Just use the standard one and it should be alright.

Ditto ...
Not sure how many times this needs to be said ...
But going to join you in saying it again ...
Like i said, i done a hard reset and the problem still exist, which means that the problem does not lies on CHT.
btw i am not using CHT, this video that i posted is just for reference of my problem. (which the phone does not go into standby mode and need activesync in order for it to enter standby mode) the lockscreen that i am using is the orginal HD2 lockscreen.
Same Problem
I'm having the exact same problem with my hd2. I've tried the following things to resolve it:
- Soft reset
- Hard reset
- Task 29 reset
- Formatting my sd card
- Using Artemis and Chuckyrom, both same problems
I'm going to try a stock rom now and look if that works.
Are there more people having this problem? any solutions? Tx!
EDIT: I've installed the stock rom and replaced HSPL with SPL. I'm still having the same problem. I'm going to send it to the manufacturer. Good Luck!
Would you be so kind to come back with the result ? This is a very confusing problem. There are lots of people suffering from this already !
solved
i two have had this problem and have just found out how to sort it out. basically i tried everything new radio, rom, getting rid of CHT
and in the end all it was is the usb connection!!!!
all you have to do when unplugging your usb cable is make it come out on a angle left to right. there are obviously some very delicate contacts that get knocked out of kilter making the phone think its still on mains power when its not hence never turning off
you can confirm this error by unplugging your phone going into backlight settings and seeing if you can adjust you light setting on battery power if when you adjust your light setting nothing happens you got the same prob as me
Can anyone help me get to the bottom of theese issues....
Cant make phone calls. When I press the contacts picture it takes the phone about 2 mins before it starts to dial (if it works at all).
When typing texts it is very slow to respond often space bar will not work.
Sometimes when people phone me the loudspeaker is on and cannot be turned off.
Blank screen when waking up from standby.
General system hang up on home screen.
I am using G10 Dusk Ultimate 2 CHT HD2 v5.10 rom. But this happened with stock o2 rom also. I have hard reset sveral times but issue keeps occuring. This is the second HD2 I have had this same issue on.
I am quite new to Winmo although I fix computers for a living so I am thinking this is not a software problem and maybe its down to firmware? I am using radio version 2.07.51.22_2
If anyone can point me in the right direction or help me get to the bottom of theese problems I would be most grateful
I did once make some minor registry edits from the ""Leo's tips and tweaks" thread. Does flashing a new ROM or a hard reset erase these entries or will they still be present?

a hard reset will reset everything to how it was when it was first turned on
all issues were sorted by changing to radio 2.14.50.04
Hello I installed on my HD2 BatteryLine but I did not like so uninstalled it, but I have a problem. The HTC Sense does not start, is trying to start and can not. It seems that the files got corrupted. What can I do to solve without resorting to a hardreset?
I have similar problem
When turned on my HTC HD2 (O2-UK) I can see on blue screen: ''Unable to start HTC Sense, tap here to try again.'' It happened after I left its battery completaly flat. When I recharged it I had this problem.
If I press middle button (windows) I can get to Start menu, net connection works too, but I can not make phone-call and I can not to reach my contacts. I have done soft restart but it did not help. Thanks for answer.

Have you already read this thread? It might help ...
Thaks,
I have found:
Yes, actually I managed to remove that tweak without hard reset it, reverted it to FATFS=0 and everything came back to normal, my HD2 is now like it was before.
but how can I do it?

I havn´t used that tweak - and I do not know, how to revert it ... But first question to you should be, whether you have taken use of that tweak. If not you shouldn´t change anything in this area ...
Same thing happened to me used task 29 and it fixed itself.
also did not use that rom again.
