I have just installed TouchFlo 2D on my Nike and i have set my contacts on the contact tab. However when i click on a contact to call them or text them, the contact gets deleted from the tab and then I need to re-add it.
Anyone know how I can solve this?
Thanks
Jonny
Which Rom do you use?
If in your Rom the cube is present, try to add the contacts in cube...
You need to change biotouch.exe
Thanks adding the contact to the cube worked.
in fact it's not the problem of biotouch.exe but QuickDial.exe which locks the registry keys about Contacts. while adding a contact via the cube works, you may find it a headache to define 10th or more contacts to the M2D Contacts page.
simply use whichever task manager software to kill the QuickDial.exe process. before you invoke the dialer side of the cube again, you should be able to use the M2D Contacts page to set your favorite contacts.
When you say use whatever task manager software to kill quickdial.exe do you mean a 3rd party task manager is needed or should i be able to see the process in my task manager on the phone?

Ok I have two questions here regarding the cube on XV6800.
1. Anyone know how to make it so the cube doesn't pop up when trying to slide using S2U2, sometimes if my finger isn't exactly on it, the cube thinks I'm trying to move horizontally and it pops up without even unlocking first.
2. Upon touching the Email button in the cube, it defaults to "Outlook Email." I have my own email account set up which I use (from Comcast) and it is set as default in the mail settings, but for some reason when using the cube to enter Email, it always brings me to Outlook Email and I have to manually "Go to" my Comcast account.
1. Exclude iLock2.exe and s2u2.exe in the FTouchflo config file.
2. Use the cube settings program to change where the email link leads too.
Yeah I already figured out the exclusion for the ftouchflo, but I was looking at the link to the email in the cube config and it looks like this:
Email
App: \Windows\tmail.exe
Params: -service "Activesync"
I'm not sure exactly what to change it to as I said right now it goes to Outlook Email.
I have this same problem, what do i have to change to the path to so when i click on the EMAIL button on the touch cube, that it brings me to my gmail account, instead of the default outlook account?
Hello,
When I goto "contacts" and right click a contact Poutlook.exe will crash if the contact is a SIM Card Contact, otherwise it will not crash on a outlook contact.
Also when I right click while in Resco Explorer, shows up an error saying Explorer.exe crashes most of the time.
I'm wondering if anyone knows what could be causing this :
Rom I'm using is the official HK WWE 3.14.831.3
Anybody know of this or what could be causing those Errors especially the contacts one.
Thanks.
Have a look in bootloader to check the spl. If it does NOT start 3.03. Then that is why.
Post back.
Is there a way to restore the contacts you have in HeyTell after flashing a rom ?
I flash a lot of roms but i have to add my friends everytime i do and its annoying for them, which is understandable.. So can i add them without having to send them a text message ?
Would it be possible if i used Titanium Backup ? Never tried that program ..
No one knows if this is possible ?
Restoring HeyTell contacts using Google Sync
Does your ROM have a Privacy option? Typically found via Menu > Settings > Privacy? (If not, try a Search from Settings, or open Voice Dialer and say "Privacy Settings"--these options are typically included in Android 2.2 or higher, but may be hidden depending on the distribution.)
If so, enable all backup options there and make sure that everyone in HeyTell is added as a friend (green circle with check mark - tap the check mark button and tap Friend to add them). This will store your underlying account information with your Gmail account. After you flash the phone and sign into Gmail, then install HeyTell, your friends should show up--they'll be accessible in the Friends list you see when you tap inside the To: field.
One caveat is that Google sync doesn't appear to work if you've set your primary account up with a @googlemail.com domain - but this should work if you're using the standard gmail.com domain as primary.
Good afternoon. I am also a delighted owner of xperia s but I have some problems.
I don't know the way to uninstall applications. For example in the folder setting/account settings and sync I have facebook and gmail. How can I uninstall these? And specifically in the facebook acoount there is an option about picassa sync.I want to remove it but there is no way.
On my previous galaxy s there was a folder where there were all the applications and there was a button " uninstall " next to each app.
Also i can't free up my memory. How can I do this?? Please help.

1. Pre-installed applications are not always uninstallable - this is on Samsung too. However, just like on all Android devices, you can go Settings -> Applications -> Manage applications and uninstall what can be uninstalled.
2. Free up your memory? Which one? RAM, local etc? The Xperia S has more than enough of internal memory and RAM, I'm not sure what issue you are having unless you were so limited by the Samsung that you are now paranoid.
Thanks
Thanks for the help
I second that.. And you also can uninstall applications from the applications menu.. Just click on the right bottom icon and you can see which applications that can be uninstalled with X marked on them.. Click on them and it'll ask you if you want to uninstall.. This is easier that going to settings every time

Thank you all. As for the memory, I don't have any problem but I would like to know how we can free up the memory.Does anyone know how??
Also what about the picasa web album sync? How can I deactivate it on my gmail account?
to stop picassa you need to go to the "Google+" app log in then go to photos once that opens press the options hot key and go to settings, scroll down and un check automatic uploads.

I did what you say but the option picasa sync still exists on my gmail account. I want to remove this option.Somewhere in this forum I read that you can remove it so that it does't consume battery.
In the stock dialer, if you go to the Favorites tab, then tap Edit at the bottom, it lets you drag contacts around to rearrange them. But when you hit the confirmation checkbox, it doesn't save it and returns the order to what it was before. Anyone else having this problem?
I'm having the same problem
OS version 8.0.0.129
I had same problem, I couldn't rearrange because my favourites were imported from previous phone.
I deleted all of them and create them again. Now I can rearrange them normally.

That did fix it for me. Thanks
There might not be a need to delete contacts and re-create them. I just discovered this, after I had absolutely same issue with the same phone:
In Chrome open contacts.google.com, where you can edit and organize all your contacts.
In the left menu click on your starred/favourites,
Deselect all contacts that have, until now, been selected as favourites, but don't click on anything else after this.
In your phone, go to Settings > Users & Accounts > Google > [your Google account] and hit "Sync". After a short while, your phone's favourites should be empty.
Back to Chrome, mark a contact as a favourite (add the star to its name), then hit "Sync" in your phone"s settings, then check in your phone contacts. That contact should now be the first on your favourites' list. Then go and repeat that with the second and third contact and so on. After each sync, the favourite contact should appear in your phone's favourites in the order you have selected them as favourites.
Moreover, now you can rearrange them in your phone without the arrangement being reset every time you hit the check icon!
I was looking for this information and found it useful. It does work.
Also, re-set your Chrome and Contact sync.
BTW, for anyone who hates on Chrome and Chrome's password manager -- it works and syncs with Android so well now, and I have been looking into how secure it is -- it is absurdly useful if you use Google a lot across many, many devices.

Still same issue on latest version
Same issue, can't re-order favorites. it always reverts back to alphabetical. I tried the method of turning off all favorites and syncing and then trying to re-add new favorites - didn't work. This shouldn't be necessary anyway just to reorder the favorites.

after a hard reset i cant rearrange favurites. android 11 running miui 12.5
before the hard reset all was ok
same here! Pixel 4a Android 12.
I did a factory reset and this issue came out. Before, it was ok.
I "resolved" it this way:
- Search for Dialer Google in Play Store - Uninstall it (which means uninstalling updates) - The free sorting of starred contacts immediately works
I also tried joining beta program, installed the last update, but I came back to the annoying problem of alphabetical sorting.
I'll remain with the "old" version and I'll update every new update release until they give me a working one!

Thank you. Deleting updates, worked like a charm
