Flashing SPL on Fuze help - Touch Pro, Fuze ROM Development

I followed the instructions and am in the process of installing RahpaelHardSPL 1_90_3 on my Fuze and it's been about 15 minutes with the phone screen still black. I notice the application still running in task manager, but no other screens active.
Little help here...

Trying to unbrick a G4

I have an HTC branded G4 Wizard. It got corrupted during a bad flash and will no longer accept new ROMs. It only boots to the boot loader screen which displays the following info:
Upper right corner says: RUU
IPL 2.17.0001
SPL 2.25.0001
Any time I try to flash a ROM, it gets about 1/2 way through and then the phone disconnects and goes into an endless loop of booting to the Boot Loader screen, and then rebooting. To get it to stop I have to remove the battery for more than an hour to fully drain power.
I've searched the forum and Wiki but can't find any info specific to recovering a G4 and I know I can't use IPL/SPL designed for a G3.
Any help appreciated.
have you read this?

if not it might help you, i've used it a couple of times
Simply download and install the Wizard Love Rom
Thanks for the pointers to these topics.
I just tried installing the Wizard Love ROM. The updater made it to 96% then the Wizard disconnected and starting it's looping boot, reboot cycle. I'm going to leave it sit with the battery removed and try again in a while. Maybe it will get all the way to 100% if I try several times.
At 96% can take more than 10 mins to complete
Be patience
It wasn't that I disconnected the device at 96%. The device dropped it's connection and rebooted itself. That was it has been doing when I tried to flash another ROM. On the positive side, it has never made it this far before rebooting since the problem started. So, I'm thinking positively and viewing this as progress.
have you try a provider based roms ... like aku 2.2?
Actually, I didn't see any htc branded Wizard...What is the htc model for your Wizard?
I think I had the same problem Monday, see the link to my post.
I have a G3 and don't know how to load a ROM on a G4 but when I left my phone off all night with the battery out it stayed on longer without shutting off and going into the endless loop.
I see you have a different IPL than your SPL, I don't know if that is a problem with a G4 but I understand it is with a G3.
Good luck, I know your pain.

Stuck after SoftSPL procedure

Hello there.
I´m really new but certanly i have read a lot on the forums. Still I have managed to mess everything once more.
I have a wizard love G4
ROM Version 2.26.10.2.wwe
Rom date 06/07/06
Radio 02.25.11
Protocol 4.1.13.12
ExtROM 2.26.10.105
Messed around with the splash screen from equinoxe and to make it work i needed to update the RUU from 2.00.1 that was on the installation files to RUU 2.5.2 that was extracted from an HTC.exe rom update download.
Finally it worked just fine.
Then, i decided to give it a go on the SoftSPL procedure in order to install the Black Diamond 2.0 touch rom on my phone so I placed the downloaded "Safe ROM" on the ROM folder. Started the application and everything was looking good. Then the RUU came up with the 2.00.1 version so I was a little worried, but then the so called white screen on the cell phone started but with a progress bar (how convenient)... I´m not sure if i was supposed to see the progress bar at all on the cell phone or just a full white screen.
Anyway, after 10 minutes give or take, the bar got to 100% and the pc software said Congratulations... but then the cell phone automatically restarted and inmediatelly it went to the bootloader three color screen.
I proceded with a hard reset before anything, right on the bootloader screen, (radio and voice buttons hold with reset button and then the send button accepting the restore to factory). Then the phone restarted but also in bootloader screen. So i decided to turn it off by holding the power button for a while. It did turn of, but this is where everything goes crazy... it does not turn on again... it even don´t show no led light when connecting the phone to the usb or the ac wall adapter...
This happened to me a few days ago using the shelltool with the same Black Diamond 2.0 Touch rom but probably i made a different mistake back then.
Anyway I removed the battery and the sim card and reinserted everything again, even tryed it out without the battery and direct connection.
When this happened to me the first time, I just leaved the phone without the battery all night and on the next day it turned on but on the bootloader so I drove it to our local unlocker that managed to re-install the wizard-love once again.
I´m wondering if anyone is having this same issues, or something similar.
Probably i should have ask first if the Black Diamond 2.0 was a safe g4 rom, which i´m not sure but won´t dare to try it again.
I had the same problem.
i'm afraid using the SoftSPL now :S
Try the TNT 5. I used soft spl to install tnt 5 from the wizard love rom.

They have a touch version u can think about.
Yes!!!! I love it now!
I downloaded the last SoftSPF. Now it runs a little slower on the first checking part but then it turned the screen all white!!!! Beautiful scary little issue that fortunatelly equinoxe stated on the flashing instructions.
Then I went for the TNT 5.0 Professional with HTC Home Plug-in on my CID LOCKED QTEK-9100 (But that it´s actually looking exactly like a 8125 Cingular), and it did it!.
One question tough... I´m running windows vista on my personal computer so I flashed the cell phone on another computer at my office that has windows xp, but still inside the TNT 5.0 Professional installation pack there is a RUU that states Windows Vista Update Utility. I´m wondering if this would actually run under vista... If so, then I believe that you can make SoftSPF also run under vista by just changing the 2.exe file on the SoftSPF compilation with this Vista_ROMUpdateUtility.exe file on the TNT 5.0 Professional compilation release.
Anyone care to try?
Probably I will be trying to flash a new radio with this RUU Vista utility under vista, to see if it flashes... If it does, then i don´t see why you can´t run try it out under vista.
I´m attaching only the RUU for vista so you can put inside any nk.nbf with it to use it under vista.

Your screen should turn white, completely white... Not white with a progress bar. That is the RUU that you were seeing. Haret.exe cause the screen to crash and then it turns completely white. THIS IS NORMAL.
Try using this version: SoftSPL - RC1. Before I got a G3 and CID unlocked it, this version of SoftSPL worked for me time and time again.
Thank Dan.
Actually the new SoftSPL worked like a charm. The screen went blank as a crash, and 10 minutes later i was on a TNT 5.0 Professional Qtek.

No problem... I know before I got my hands on a G3, thats exactly what I used to upgrade roms.

Froze boot screen don't want to brick it

I have been going through the forums for a while and still not sure what to do...
8125 G4
IPL 2.25.0001
SPL 2.25.0001
GMS 2.25.11
OS 10.0.0.10
I turned it off last night at 68% bat. I turned it on today and it is stuck on the Win 6.1 Diamond Edition splash screen. I have soft reset it many times. The on/off button doesn't work so I have to remove the bat. to shut it off. I did some reading and some say it could be the batt. needs a jump start. I am not sure about this because when plugged into the computer it takes a charge.. light starts out yellow, and later turns green..( i think that is charged)
I don't want to do a hardrest until I hear that is what I have to do.. I have seen others with problems close to mine and a hardrest failed. I am able to do the softrest holding the camera button to get the bootloader screen and would like to reload the rom ( if I have to) but I used SoftSPL to load the Diamond rom and not sure I can reload it without runing SoftSPL again.
I tried to follow the loading steps for using SoftSPL, but the program it tells me to use WST v4.22 and it doesn't see the Wizard. so... can someone tell me if I can use the bootloader screen to reflash my wizard or do I have to do something else..
Thank you
or any other steps to fix this problem
I also need to add that actsync will not connect.. it doesn't see the device...
OK so I could not wait... I did a hard reset and it is back up and running. All extra software has to be redone, but all is well.

[Q] Unable to Flash a ROM

Hi! its my 1st post on this forum, please avoid if its in wrong section.
Well, I have Jasjam & I have tried to Burn WM.6.5 ROM & at 96% I got error.
& after that when I Turn on my Phone, I see the start logo Screen & the phone stuck there, after reading few post here at XDA I have Accessed the boot loader tri-colour screen but don't know what to do with it.. I can see
Herm100
IPL-1.01
Herm100
SPL-1.06
I have read out a lot of posts saying Upgrate SPL , downgrade SPL etc etc
its the 3rd day I am continuously reading posts & every new post is making me messed up with new terms etc..
is there anyone who has the right solution for my Jasjam?
Hi there,
I'm stuck with the same problem as well. What I'd recommend is to wait for at least 30 minutes so that the HTC screen goes away and boots into windows. My TyTN got stuck at 81% in flashing a Schaps rom and the solution I found was to plug it in the charger, start up the phone and wait for a good 30 - 40 minutes. Once it booted into the home screen I reflashed it.
If that doesn't work, try the Mtty.exe tool from HTC. There are quite a bit of posts on how to use it. If it doesn't work then since your already in the tri-colour bootscreen, try reflashing the rom by running setup again. Hardspl if you have to but do not run active sync as it will not recognise the device. Hope this helps!.
PS: Incase your lost in which rom to use, try using a schaps rom. Search the forums for it. Pm me for further instructions since I've recovered my phone through these methods. Try to keep the forums clean!

Software recovery problem

I managed to break my original HD2 a while ago and I've only just decided to replace it. I have another main phone but I loved that I could pretty much do anything with my old HD2. I had a bit of experience with installing cooked ROMs before moving on to installing Android and WP7 on it.
As I had a bit of experience with playing about with software recovery/updates, I decided to buy a phone that was described as "booting to a white screen" off ebay. I thought it would be a fun little hobby to get it working again.
My first few steps would be to get it to stock and start playing with it from scratch.
I booted into the bootloader and tried to flash a stock ROM but it kept freezing at 0%.
I've since managed to change the SPL version from 2.08 HSPL (I could get the phone to boot into MAGDLR 1.13, so they must've been playing with WP7 or Android NAND) to 3.03.
I downloaded and installed the stock 3.14 T-Mobile UK ROM, but it won't boot past the white screen with the HTC logo. If I pull the battery out to turn it off and try to turn it on again, then it gets stuck at a blank white screen with no HTC logo at all. I'm very confused and would like some help if possible. Thanks in advance.
