Been reading alot about WM2005 (codename "Magneto"), but also hear that Microsoft has forbidden journalist etc to post any info about it...sites were ordered to remove their content and preview pics.
Would love to know how this is working for you? Have googled for ActiveSync 4.0, but no luck, sorry.

Allright, I fixed computer for one person, and after I finish he offer me this device as salary for my job ($200!!!! I did't know real price!!!!! ), when I connect it to the Desktop computer, I understand I don't have a driver, then I tryed to connect it trough IR port of my laptop, and it says you need active sync 4.0, so I check the microsoft, none...
Works EXELENT, except for put something on(in) it I use SD card, and can not install applications.

I am assuming this came on your PDA, so it must have had some disks with it ??? whats on those disks?
Can you backup your rom to SD card via the bootloader, then upload to FTP so people can try this out.. maybe there is a way to get Activesync 3.8 working with it ??

Gora what device is this? HP? Toshiba? Q-tek? .....?? What?
It's only got 28Mb of RAM. It sounds like a smarthone rather than a PDA.

Can you show us more screenshots, and plz let us know what device you are using, it seams it's not a HIMALAYA, it has less Ram than we have but still let's us see the GOOOODIES :twisted:

I have tried to download the Bluetooth_SAP_profile.CAB but i get an error message saying that i do not have not logged in yet i actually am logged in ...i can however download the other bluetooth protocols you have posted. Kindly assist.

Well for all the people out ther that have a scirocco and dont want to change cell phone ...
HtC remote acess card works fine with the radio .

I too got a scirocco and I have just tried the .CAB and
it worked!!!!
but one small problem is that u can upload the phone book
i got an X1 and got a cooked ROM from this site (cant remember whose though but it was one with 3 options of cooked rooms ) and before the .cab it was not working and no it is...
if anybody can help regarding importing the phone book, i really appreate the help...

I don't know any easy way to disable this popups! Can be a solution to make a windows service for checking this popups and close it, but is a programming hard work, and of course you can loose some ram and speed from your device.

anyone got this working on the touch dual? I've tried to install but get an error - NOT COMPATIBLE WITH YOUR PHONE. i'm running 6.1 on my dual!

weird i get the same message
i have it working on my niki. there is a modified cab available which has been de-certified.
you must then patch the meta file for each map so the map is authorised for use on your handset! it only works with v7 maps!
its pretty quick, not much has changed. the type face is a little too big for qvga, but it works.
EDIT:
there is now a QVGA version, see link in post #7 in this thread.

This one works for me
ok guys i got tomtom working on my touch dual, however cant download any maps. I installed tomtom7 on my tytn ii and managed to download the free map - it is currently working ok on the tytn. when i port this map over to the touch dual, i get an error saying that the map is not compatible?

You need version 7 maps, available at all good online outlets ;-) and you need to run a keygen on them to make them work with your device. I have tomtom 7 working from a straight install cab on my Niki and my Artemis, and UK map 7.20 (latest one, google for it! Or PM me, I suppose) which then needs a different keygen running on it for each device you're going to install it on, ie the activation key for the map is tied to your device, which is why you can't copy the map over from one device to another.
official purchased maps do not require a 'keygen'.

yes I installed this one
it worked fine on mine, try running it after a soft reset...or makesure all your programs are closed before running it.
what ROM are you running? mine is a HTC standard one from AUS.
as for not installing..not too sure, try the above also.
I also try to install and start the app after a Hard reset but nothing.... I have always the same error... my ROM is the original TIM italy

i have installed this RUU_Nike_HTC_DE_1.31.407.09_Ship
it does run no problem on my dual i have black repack3, v7 maps and it works great. you must have done something wrong some were. Try it again etc

If I can't get Linux running on the StarTrek myself, I will give my phone to one of the developers working on the Linux for phones project(s). I have 2 wall chargers, a car charger and a bunch of other accessories for my phone. The phone is like new.

I started working on some very, *very* rudimentary steps to support the phone's buttons, but I lost interest fairly quickly due to the limitations of working with the phone and my own inexperience with lower-level Linux stuff.
The patches I made for the keymaps are on GitHub.
If anyone else sees this thread and has the time/expertise to work on it some more, check out #htc-linux on irc.freenode.net.

You can try android from the guys at wing-linux, heres my post on the tornado section, use the files i used on my tornado and android "should" boot up since the strtk has the same omap850 cpu, follow the instructions i provided, good luck.

After your done downloading this installed only these 2 cabs in your storage card:

I've been working with the awesome guys over at wing-linux for the past few days, and we now have a working configuration for the Startrek. Expect to see it in their source tree sometime this week.

1. Here u go! it's clean rom.
2. not sure about com3 or com5 u may search (it's talk about widnwos mobile 6.5), just know that the latest rom is Build 23504. as i know from searching they said the the stable rom is build 218xxx but all 6.5 rom still have problem with bluetooth in sending file.
