Cannot Enter Bootloader! - Touch Pro CDMA

I am trying to flash with SSK 1.5 and i already successfully followed the instructions on how to unlock the phone using Hard SPL specifically for the verizon version. Now... i cannot enter bootloader mode at all which means i cannot flash the device.
Also, as a side note... would i need to flash a new radio if i flash a new ROM like SSK 1.5?

once you have unlocked your device you do not need to enter bootloader mode to flash a custom Rom. follow this to the T.
1. Establish active sync connection (this is the most important step).
2. Copy the RUU_signed.nbh into the RUU folder.
3. Run ROMUpdateUtility.exe and follow the steps on screen to flash ROM.
4. Once the phone reboots, go through Windows Mobile setup and let it finish.
5. Perform a hard reset (hold power, volume down, and center d-pad).
6. Complete the Windows Mobile setup and start using your new ROM!

Help: Please
I have tried all the instructions, but the problem is when in goes into bootlader(it does it automaticaly), the pc doesnt see the phone. I tried the USB to PC, unchecked & still doesnt work. Im really fustrated, as I have been trying to do this for at least 6 hours. Help me get the PC to see the phone in bootload. Thanks

Quick ROM install:
Rename the NBH to: RAPHIMG.nbh
Copy to SD card root.
Manually enter bootloader:
Hold Volume Down, Power Button and soft reset. HOLD all 3 until Boot Loader flashes on.
It will say push Power button to start flash, do it and you're golden...
I was having some issues flashin' from my work laptop the other week, so I started doin' this. Nice thing too is can flash different rom's without ever needing to be connected to my PC.
Enjoy!

Im having problems

I have a alltel touch pro, that I CANT GET TO FLASH. I dont understand the problem. I keep reading the install procedures and whenever it actually gets to the status bar on the phone....it quits....am i forgetting to do sumthin before i install??
I take it you correctly unlocked your phone using the correct Hard SPL if not go here for instructions http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=42503
How to Flash Via PC:
1.download the ruu.zip attachment
2.unzip to your desktop
3.then in the newly created RUU directory add the rom of your choice - (copy the RUU_Signed.nbh to desktop\RUU)
4.Place phone in bootloader mode (power button while holding volume down button)
5.open the ROMUpdateUtility.exe
6.follow the RUU on screen instructions from there
If that fails please trying these directions (thanks sn0b0ard)
Flash from microSD Card (Thanks to MadlyAlive):
1. Make sure you backup anything that is necessary to your day to day operations! At a minimum, please perform an ActiveSync to Outlook or your Exchange server prior to flashing!
2. Rename the custom ROM NBH file from RUU_Signed.nbh to RAPHIMG.nbh
3. Copy RAPHIMG.nbh to the root of your microSD Card.
4. Hold the Volume Down and Power button simultaneously. While you're still holding those 2 buttons, press the reset button with your stylus.
5. When your Touch Pro tells you to do so, press the power button to begin the flash process. If you do not get the message to press the power button to flash, there is a mistake in the name of the NBH file or you do not have the file at the root of your microSD card.
6. When flashing is complete, perform a soft reset.

need help with fuze asap please people flashing problems

i just flashed my rom to natf 4.0 and it says this beta software has concluded, and there is a white screen stuck on my fuze and it wont do anything, it wont even connect to active sync so i can re flash it i need help big time, phone not working, i run a business,i have no other phone, what can i do.
Did u HardSPL before flashing ? If not do so. See here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=448008
If yes u do not need Activesync, u can flash a ROM (NOT THE HARDSPL) from the SD Card as well
See:
Flashing Via MicroSD Card
1. Make sure your microSD is Formatted to fat32 using a PC (you dont have to delete all files but it is safer if you do)
2. Download your prefered Rom from the Raphael Rom Develpoment Page and unzip/unrar it to your computer
3. Goto the Roms Folder and rename the .nbh file to RAPHIMG.nbh
4. Copy the RAPHIMG.nbh file to the root of your microSD Card
5. Remove Sim Card and Restart phone
6. Plug the microSD Card into the phone
7. Press and hold the volume down button, then press the reset button with the stylus. Release the volume down button when bootloader tricolour screen appears
8. Follow the onscreen instructions to start flashing
9. Once phone finishes flashing and says Update Complete, reset with the stylus
10. When it gets to the screen where it configures the stylus, HARD RESET
(hold the VOLUME DOWN and ENTER (center) Buttons, press the RESET button with the stylus tip, then release the RESET button but continue to hold the VOLUME DOWN and ENTER buttons until the reset screen appears)
11. Follow onscreen instructions to set up your New Rom
Taken from this, thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=448008
Did u try a Hard reset, this is mentioned in Step 10, just in the above instruction.
And last, Why did u take the 4.0, the ROM is at 4.7 according to

Okay so I went from onyx 4.2 to a nandroid backup of bionix findal. Then since the backup was a 2.1 rom I flashed a 21 kernel then I rebooted and its stays at the vibrant screen and keeps going into recovery when I hit reinstal packages it takes me back to stock recovery not Cwm. So what do I do from here
Hit refresh packages again. Sometimes it takes more than one time.
Same thing happened to me, I ended up using odin....again. Thank god for odin

If you cannot get into CWM recovery, than most likely you will have to Odin. If you know how to use adb, then adb the CWM update.zip onto /sdcard and select re-install packages from the normal recovery. If you don't know how to use adb, then you can either learn or follow the directions in this post on how to use Odin. You might want to learn Odin anyways as it is extremely useful if you softbrick without access to recovery.
Here is a couple of methods to get into download mode. Once you get to download mode, follow the directions at the end of my post...
First Method
1) Pull the battery, sim card, and sd card.
2) Reinsert battery but do not press any buttons.
3) Plug into usb that is connected to your computer. If something shows up on the screen (charging logo) then you should be golden.
4) Hold the vol up, vol down, and power until the screen comes on, immediately release the power button but not the other two. Hopefully it will boot into download mode and than you can use Odin to get back to stock.
Second Method
1) Another method that seems to work for some people is to pull the battery, sim, sd card.
2) Reinsert battery and hold both volume buttons but do not press power button.
3) Then plug in usb. The phone should boot into download.
Third Method
1) You will need the samsung ADB drivers installed for your phone and ADB.
Samsung Drivers for 32 bit Windows: http://files.androidspin.com/downlo...=SAMSUNG_USB_Driver_for_Mobile_Phones_x86.exe
Samsung Drivers for 64 bit Windows: http://files.androidspin.com/downlo...ung/vibrant/&file=usb_drivers_GalaxyS_x64.zip
2) Remove sim card and sd-card. Remove the battery.
3) Hold buttons vol up, vol down, and power.
4) While holding down those 3 buttons put the battery back in and keep holding all 3 buttons until the vibrant disappears and reappears. Once it reappears, release all 3 buttons.
5) Now connect your phone to your pc via USB cable.
6) Open a cmd prompt and navigate to the folder with ADB and type "ADB REBOOT DOWNLOAD" caps are not necessary.
7) Your phone will reboot into the download
Download the files in the linked thread and follow the directions there or the ones in my post below.
Odin and Files Needed Available Here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=734475
1) Open Odin and verify that one of the Com ports shows a device connected. If it doesn't try using a different usb port.
2) Load the .pit and pda files. It should be pretty obvious how to do that once you are in Odin.
3) Make sure that the option to partition is unchecked. The other two options should be checked.
4) Hit start and wait.
5) Your phone will restart when Odin is done and you will be good to go.

Glad I could help you out. Just make sure you keep all the files on your computer in case you have to do it again. I had never had to use Odin until recently. Then I had to use it three times in one day.

[SOLUTION]How to Unbrick and/or Unroot Motorola Photon 4G

This will also unroot, relock bootloader, and send phone back to stoock rom, but if you have a backed up rom then they can all be reversed easily.
I am new to this and this will be my 1st post so bare with me. I've tried to make the difficulty very easy for beginners because I'm a beginner.
Copy & Paste URLs in your Internet browsers because I can't post URLs I guess.
Yesterday I Bricked my phone trying to unroot and stock my Photon. I was
searching and trying different techniques to unbrick it for 7 HOURS!!! So I put a bunch of stuff together to get to this...
Requirements:
1.Motorola Photon 4G
2.PC
3.Backup ROM on PC or External SD Card (If you don't have one backed up then find a ROM that supports Motorola Photon 4G
4.Android SDK on PC:developer.android.com/sdk/index.html
How I unbricked my phone:
Charge your battery to 100% if you can before starting
1. Install one of the SBF files with RSD Lite on (this will take you back to stock, which means this will unroot your phone and relock your bootloader if it's unlocked. But they both can easily go back to rooted and unlocked)
Follow the directions:youtube.com/watch?v=J94VcWk-CJc&feature=relmfu
2. After thats done try to restart your phone
If it doesn't boot all the way up then don't worry...
Turn your phone off by taking the battery out.
3. Go on your PC go to the folder of your backup rom (or take your external sd card out of your phone and put that into the PC and copy the backup somewhere on the PC then put the sd card back into your phone) and you should have the following files inside the folder of the backup you chose... "boot.img" and "recovery.img" Copy those files to the Android folder in your C: directory. C:/Users/(name of your PC/Android) mine would be in the C:/Users/LocoRobo/Android directory, yours will be different. (if yours is not in that directory then you will have find where you put it or where android sdk extracted it to)
4. Hit the "start" button on PC then type "cmd" into the search box then you should see a program at the top that says 'cmd.exe' open that.
5. You should see a line that says C:/Users/(the name of your PC) that's good. (if your Android folder (or android-sdk folder) is not in that location then you'll have to find out where it is and navigate to it on cmd) now type "cd Android" (or "android-sdk" if you don't have a folder name android) in the command box.
Now we will start.
6. While phone is off and go into fastboot mode (hold the vol. down key and the power key at the same time until you see 'fastboot' on the top of your screen) once you're their, hit the vol. up key, then you should see something on your screen like "entering fastboot protocol support" (I really don't remember) now connect your phone to your PC.
7. Got back to cmd that you have open in your PC. Type in the following commands into the command box (beginner note: hit enter after each command):
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
fastboot -w
fastboot flash boot boot.img
fastboot reboot
8. You're phone will reboot and it should power all the way up!!!
Now if you want to reroot and reunlock your phone then follow these steps as well. (this will also get you back your service as well)
9. When your phone first reboots it will go into setup and stuff, just skip everything except the google account login.
10. Watch and follow these video's instructions (doesn't matter which order):
Reroot:youtube.com/watch?v=SaJ0uiExdFM
Reunlock:youtube.com/watch?v=BwRjFrzClBs
11. Now download Rom Manager from the market and go into the app and hit "flash clockworkmod recovery" Now hit "reboot into recovery" go into recovery and restore your backup (a working one of course)
And That's all folks!!! If you like and it works please hit thank you or whatever! Any questions ask and i'll try my best to answer them (I'm still new to this).
Oh yeah and thanx to QBKing77 for the videos.
do anyone have the sbf file of japanese official rom ?

If you can do this, then your phone isn't bricked. It may be broked, but it ain't bricked. It's only a brick when you can't flash something and get it working again. By definition, there is no unbrick.
So you're saying that if i bricked my phone I would not be able to use it ever again? I know that If you can get into the recovery mode you are not bricked, but when I did this the only thing i could go to was fastboot mode and rsd mode (recovery wouldn't open) so it really was a brick.

Yes, that's what makes it a brick.

Nope, it was just broken. But fixable. I've had plenty of times my phone was unusable. If you spend much time hacking and flashing, you will, too. But as long as you can flash, you can fix it, and it's not bricked.
I didn't flash anything. I use rsd lite through a PC (maybe you could call that a flash but thats more of a forced flash from a PC, then just being able to download a flash normally through your phone). I've broken my phone about 5 times now and I've only had this phone for like 2 or 3 weeks. The times I broke it is when i was still able to go into clockworkmod (recovery mode). This last time, I couldn't do anything but fastboot and rsd mode.

RSD is definitely for flashing. In fact, I'd say this is more "flashing" than is installing a zip file in recovery, since the latter is really just basic file operations that you theoretically could do while Android was running, if the files you're replacing aren't in use.
It's unlikely that anybody will call you out for arguable semantics of the word "flashing", but "brick" is pretty strictly defined as "no good for anything but a paperweight, unless you have warranty service, and then only if the shop tech doesn't figure out what you've done." If you can fix it (and if you can flash anything via any method, you can), it's not bricked, just borked.
Okie dokie then. If thats what u believe then you can tell the world because most people call things like this (the post) a brick...
I've never heard anything like (what you're sayin) that...
Yeah, you definitely didn't have a brick. I truly bricked my epic touch the other day along with many other people and the only solution was to get a replacement. It's very hard to brick a photon or most other motorola phones that have an available sbf file to flash with rsd lite. I started with the original Droid and have heard of maybe 2 or 3 true bricks, and those were phones that devs were using to test the boundaries of the phone.
And you're correct that a lot of people say they bricked their phone. But that doesn't mean that they actually did.
okay I see.
I needed to do a different step
I did steps 1 & 2 and then my phone would boot up and show the Sprint animation and then reset. The solution was to follow the instructions on the Motorola site to factory reset from the boot loader:
Perform a factory reset using external keys
Power off the phone, press and hold volume down button, press power button
Screen will come up with "Fastboot", press Vol down key to cycle through choices until you get "Android Recovery", then press Vol up key
Wait for the "triangle ! / Android" screen then go on to step 4
Press both Vol up and Vol down key simultaneously. A menu will come up
Tap on Vol down key until "wipe data/factory reset" is highlighted, and tap Power key. Another Confirmation screen will come. Tap on Vol down key until coming to Yes and tap Power key
After userdata is cleared, the "reboot system now" option will be highlighted by Default. Tap Power key
Phone will reboot to initial setup screen.

Android NAND Rom Guide on RHOD phones for Noobs 12-15-12

I would like to give credit to everyone who has worked on the android roms, and other guides. I have taken some of the info for this guide from the WIKI
It seemed we were due for a friendly how to guide on how to load a NAND rom on a RHOD device. I decided to write a step by step guide to help people out. This guide does provide a very basic ADB setup, but it is just enough to get you up and running. If you want to do advanced things you should get the full ADB, and learn more about it.
This guide is written for a RHOD400, Android GBX0*+3.4.26 rom, and a Win7 pc, but should be almost identical for the rest of the RHOD family, other versions of Windows, and most other roms.
It is assumed that you have unlocked your phone for custom rom loading in the past at some point. This is not the same as unlocking the sim card. This is 100% required. Please read here and/or here, and/or here if you need help with unlocking your phone.
This guide assumes that you know what a command prompt is, how to load windows drivers for a device, and can open zip files. If these things are not within your skill sets I would recommend that you find someone who understands these things to assist you.
Things you need.
1. A RHOD phone.
2. A micro SD card that is at least 512mb in size.
Tip: I suggest a sd card that is less than 4gb in size. There tends to be less compatibility issues with non SDHC cards. SDHC cards usually work, but if you have trouble this is a good thing to change. The SD card does have to be less than 64gb in size as the phone can not read cards larger than 32gb.
3. A usb based micro sd card reader. A usb based card reader is need to be compatible with the HP format tool. Some built in ones are usb based others are not. If you have one, you can try it and see if it works. It is not recommended to use your phone's sd card reader for prep work.
4. A usb cable that is known to work. Test it in WM first. On rare occasion I have seen cables that did work with WM and not Android. If you have issues, this is also something good to swap out during trouble shooting.
5. A windows based pc. *DO NOT USE USB 3.0 PORTS* Many reports about have come in about them causing issues.
The procedure.
1. Back up anything you want to keep from your phone. Everything on the phone will be wiped during this process.
2. Put the micro sd card into your USB card reader and format with the HP format tool. It needs to be a full fat32 format. Windows format is known to have issues on occasion, and this step is a work around for that problem. It is not 100% required, but if you have trouble it is 100% required during trouble shooting.
3. While this is formatting you can download the recovery (recovery_cwr_6.0.1.3.img) ***It has been found that the 6.0.1.3 recovery does not make backups correctly, resulting in md5 errors. You may use it if you are not planning on using the backup feature, or the older one by acl works fine. You can rename it to use the included scripts if you wish.***, rom (GBX0*+3.4.26 Full) , the boot loader, the needed usb android drivers, and the adb files.Gapps is optional.
4. Make sure your battery is at least 50% charged. I recommend a 100% charge. A dead battery in the middle of flashing can brick your phone.
5. Copy the RHODIMG.NBH, rom (GBX0*+3.4.26 Full), and the gapps (optional) files to the sd card and put it in your phone with the phone turned off.
6. Press the hold down the volume down button while pressing the power button. This will bring up the tri colored screen. It will then automatically go to the white rom update screen.
7. Follow the directions (press the power button on the RHOD400) to start the update. This should take less than 1min.
Troubleshooting tip:
If the phone sits at loading 0%, and never moves after 10 min you may not have unlocked your phone or there is an issue with your RHODIMG file. Verify that you have unlocked your phone (you can try loading a WM custom rom), format the SD card, re-download the RHODIMG file, and try again. Also try another SD card and SD card reader.
8. If the phone reboots automatically, that is fine. Otherwise when the phone says Update Success you can pull the battery to shut it off.
9. Turn the phone back on. You should see a blue miniPooploader screen with a lot of white text scrolling for a moment. When it gets done, pull the battery to shut it off. Then replace the battery (it should still be off)
10. Connect the usb cable between the phone and the PC, and turn the phone on. The PC should see the device, and may or may not assign drivers to it.
11. Install the USB/fastboot driver for the phone. On Win 7 the phone showed initially as android device under other folder in the device manager. After the driver is installed it should be called My HTC.
12. Open the ADB Tools zip file, and put the platform-tools folder on c:\
13. Open a command prompt and go to c:\platform-tools\.
Once there type:
Code:
fastboot devices
You should get a response similar to this:
C:\platform-tools>fastboot devices
HT04TM300704 fastboot
If this is not working stop now and troubleshoot.
14. Now to wipe the phone in prep for loading (or reloading) the android rom.
There is a wipe.bat file I have included. You may run it, or you may type the following commands.
Code:
Fastboot erase recovery
Fastboot erase boot
Fastboot erase misc
Fastboot erase system
Fastboot erase userdata
Fastboot erase cache
15. Place the recovery (recovery_cwr_6.0.1.3.img) file into c:\platform-tools.
16. Now load the recovery image. If it is named recovery_cwr_6.0.1.3.img you may use the reload_recovery.bat or type:
Code:
fastboot flash recovery recovery_cwr_6.0.1.3.img
to load the recovery image then
Code:
fastboot boot recovery_cwr_6.0.1.3.img
to boot the recovery image.
17. Install the rom.
Using the volume keys highlight 'Install zip from sdcard' then press the call button to select it.
Highlight 'choose zip from sdcard' and press the call button to select it.
Highlight the rom file (GBX_3.4.26_Full.zip) and press the call button to select it.
Highlight yes and press the call button to select it.
The rom will now install. This will take a few minutes.
18. (optional) Install Gapps.
Using the volume keys highlight 'Install zip from sdcard' then press the call button to select it.
Highlight 'choose zip from sdcard' and press the call button to select it.
Highlight the gapps file (probably gapps-gb-20110828-signed.zip) and press the call button to select it.
Highlight yes and press the call button to select it.
Gapps will now install. This will take a few minutes.
19. Press the back arrow, and select reboot system now.
The phone should reboot into the Android rom now. It will take about 10min the first time. If you have waited more than 30 something has gone wrong. You should troubleshoot and try again.
At this point you have the basics all in place, and can start using your phone.
If you want to do basic ADB tasks (along the lines of installing apps remotely/side loading or pushing/pulling files) you will need to install the adb windows driver.
20. Press the thanks button if you liked this guide.
P.S.
If you have issues getting adb to work later, download and use USBDeview.exe to remove the HTC driver entries and then install pdanet for android to get the correct adb drivers installed.

Well if you have not listed all your trouble shooting steps, you will not get help from anyone. Our physic abilities are lacking these days.
Also posting specific questions in the thread about the rom you are trying to install will have a higher chance of getting useful feedback.

Well if you have done all necessary things, then your phone must not be compabtiable.
Maybe if you provided a list of your troubleshooting steps we might be of more help... Otherwise we have no choice, but to bow to your knowlage of having done all necessary things.

Thank you WizardKnight for replying me.
This is the steps i use to do.
1. I use RhodiumWUnlocker to unlock my rhod500 , to get any rom loaded with it
2. I copy RHODIMG.NBH, GBX_3.4.24_Full, recovery_cwr_6.0.1.3 all to my 4gb SDard
3. Vol- + PWR and phone turns to the tri color screen, then the phone started to load the image files
4. I press PWR butt to start the update, within a couple of seconds the phone update successfully
I press resest button for the phone to boot up to see if it will go to the fast boot screen.
But i was unlucky always the phone restart itself within some seconds.

Sounds like you just need to flash CWM... the CWM recovery image doesn't go on your SD card, you flash that from your computer using the "fastboot flash" command...
You can also try "fastboot boot <recovery.img>" - w/o the < >. Remember, this is done on your computer. That's why you need the fastboot drivers...

You Mean This .
9. Turn the phone back on. You should see a blue miniPooploader screen with a lot of white text scrolling for a moment. When it gets done, pull the battery to shut it off. Then replace the battery (it should still be off)

You described this screen (scrolling text, blue background?) I remember you said you got it to fastboot, no?
Where is your phone getting to?
edit: nevermind fiddled with it, dont know what i did but it worked
I have a rhod400. I have been messing with OMGB as my daily phone OS since July 2012 and just installed this one about a week ago.
I have two questions/issues
1) Every time I try to reboot, it freezes. When I try to power off, it sometimes freezes, but usually reboots.
2) I can't seem to make persistent changes to the hosts file. After every reboot, it's set to the same old generic "127.0.0.1 localhost"
During boot, does the OS unpack a .img or something with the hosts file packed inside it? If so, where is it?
Thanks, guys. Other than these 2 issues, this flavor of android for rhodium is pretty solid. i like it.

Please put rom specific questions in that rom's thread.
If you are running a newer than.27 kernel the reboot and power off functions do not work properly in any rom.
I believe that the host file is overwritten by the ram disk/boot.img on boot every time. Any changes will not stick.
There is a chance these issues may be fixed on the next release of GBX, but no promises.

This isn't enough information to help you.
If you're not going to provide detailed information on what is happening, no one will be able to help you.
Perhaps NAND is not for your device. Flash back to WinMo.
