I used to be able to watch youtube videos using Streaming Media. Yesterday, when I tried to watch a video, while buffering, it said there was some error. I tried today too. It showed Connecting for 10 minutes until I stopped it.
Any ideas?
Look for problems at you're mobile provider.
I had the same problems, but the solved themself.. Hopefully the do the same for you
Maybe waiting is this time a good solution?
I don't think it has anything to do with the provider. I've tried connecting via WiFi and still no good.
I'll give it a try later this week.
The problem solved itself. Read somewhere that youtube themselves were responsible for that. Glad everything is fine now.

As title says. Can hear sound but video picture just freezes. Everything worked fine before the update but cant watch youtube videos on either my wi-fi or my wap which worked fine. All internet settings are correct. Its as if I don't have enough memory. Can anone help? Thanks in advance.
same thing happens to me :S but just recently. ive had 2.1 since it was released for us and it used to work, but hasnt in a few weeks and it does the same thing as yours, just plays the audio but no picture.

I have had an odd issue for a while now where intermittently YouTube videos refuse to load. I can try multiple times and it will just not buffer at all. Sometimes if I wait a couple hours it will finally work if I retry. This is usually using the 4g network and the latest YouTube app. Anyone else experience this?

Just loaded up BAMF SoAB 1.03 yesterday, so on a fresh rom. Disconnected from WiFi and connected to LTE, tried multiple YouTube videos and no problem. Connected to WiFi, and all was still good.

Recently i started having this problem where both YouTube and Facebook won't play video's anymore. YouTube gives the following error message: "There was a problem while playing. Touch to retry." Facebook also indicates it just can't play the video... Offline video's play without any problem.
What could be the problem here? Could this be a problem with Flash or something? Tried installing another version from their website, but didn't help. A hard reset will be my final option, but I would like to know a more convenient way to deal with the problem

But, since I have been on stock Android LG lollipop zv8, it seems like the g3 has lost all of it's casting capabilities!!!!! [emoji36] no longer can I cast YouTube to my TV, or video files from my media payer and mircast is all sorts of wonky, and even disconnects and refresh rate sucks. And I can't share any files through Wi-Fi direct, only in advanced Wi-Fi in settings, I can only connect to another device, WTF good is that? Anyone else have these issues??

All, I updated to OS5 a couple of weeks ago and since then I noticed that a few streaming apps seem to not function. I originally noticed the Showtime Anytime app wouldn't stream properly. The audio would play fine but the video would freeze and skip around. I don't use this app often so I figured maybe an app update would come later. Well, yesterday I tried to use WatchESPN and it was doing the same. It is a little different though as I can reboot the device and if I start WatchESPN right away I can watch something, but if I close the app and come back into it, it again does the freezing. Additionally, last night I tried to watch the GOP debate on the Fox News app and it did the same thing as the Showtime app. I did a factory reset to see if maybe something got hosed, but upon reinstalling the apps, I get the same response from the video. Again, the audio is fine. Normally I would think that the App is causing the issue but with multiple apps it looks like maybe a video rendering issue with the OS5? Can someone else test these apps and let me know what you are seeing? All of these apps worked fine before doing the upgrade. Hulu, Netflix, TWC and other apps work fine. Thanks.
