i've been searching through everything for weeks. google, this site, SPJ, PPCG. everything.
i cannot figure out how to get this thing to sync for the life of me.
plugged it up to XP at work and had it synced in no time, but ****in vista just has to be difficult.
ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh.
anyway, please, somebody help.
i could not find a solution in any of the other threads, and have tried numerous options. i can not figure this thing out.
someone has to have like, a step by step, or something on how to get this thing to work.
its getting recognized and i have the option to sync on the phones end, it says connected in the activesync screen, but when you hit sync, it doesnt do anything.
help please

preciate your help, the guys at PPcGeeks answered a bunch of my questions and i think im on the right track.
im not sure i had the 64 bit version of WMDC for my version of Vista.

I really don't know if I post it right here, but I've got a problem syncing my i600 with Windows Vista... Active Sync is no more option at Vista so I have to use WMDM... but the freaking program doesn't work at all... I've already installed the update from the microsoft site but it still doesn't seems to work...
I'm using the i600 now for a few days and it's a terrific device (never thought that i would buy a Samsung)... all the features are great and on this very moment I use it to post this threat...
Could anybody help me out with my sync prob...?!

I'm a Dutch Computer Science student, and I like to program stuff (I know Java very well, a bit of C and some Assembly). Now I would like to make my own ROMs and share them with the rest of the world, only I dont know where to start and what programs to use... Anyone who can clear those things up for me a bit?

I got problem with my Jeyo.
I can connect and sync with my Vista and outlook 2007, but i can't connect to my Jeyo. Any solution???
If i flash to Fantastic Mobiz v1.1, My Jeyo is working fine.

I'm having the strangest problem. I'm usually just a lurker that can find any answer through this board and doing some goggle homework but this has me stumped. So my first post is in order.
I upgraded to the "official" unofficial AT&T WM6 ROM, although I may eventually go to vp3g's latest 3.61 soon as the results look great.
Anyway I'm running Windows Vista and using MS exchange server 2003. When I synced the first time. after the upgrade, all my appointments w/ notes transfer and show up on my 8525. However if I make an edit of an appointment note or create a new appointment and add a note it doesn't show up on my 8525. These are the notes inside the appointment, not the separate notes section of Outlook. I use this area all the time for conference call notes and to store my travel itinerary. It's one of the most important things for me on my phone, which is why this problem is driving me crazy!!
I know the note is still in Outlook and on the exchange server, however it doesn't show up on my phone. On Friday I did a hard reset started over and still the problem persists. Any suggestions?

does it happen if you sync to PC?
if u r using over the air push sync, is your kb limit to low and thus cutting this bit off?
not much help sorry, except to confirm that it dont have this problem n used wm5, black x 4 versions, official version from htc, cooked tnt 2.0 and various others.
now on htc "official" n all good here.

It appears that the answer may be that I had a bad USB sync cable. I've been having a lot of total sync failures (did I mention I hate Vista's Windows Mobile Device Center) and a new cable looks like it cured both problems.
As per the subject. i tried using searches but nothng worked, so here's the question in full.
There is this program that comes with a lot of the roms now a days, it lets you download other software like a 'nix repository. I dont know the name and i dont know how to search the forums for it. but im sure someone knows what it is, the icon has an arrow on it i think and a globe maybe and it connects to a server to get a list of apps for wm etc. any help would b appreciated.
update PDMProject, i remembered i got an email from them with an activation key. few thousand emails later found the app.

I have owned an HD2 since its release in the UK, love it and I definitely did not want to be a sheep in the Iphone game!
I have only recently found this very helpful site because of searching resolutions to this issue and thankfully found some great customisations!
Anyway, about 3 weeks ago I set up a card to buy apps from Window Marketplace and can now not log onto it. I am able to log on to WindowsLive and to Marketplace on the web.
When entering my ID it brings up the following message, 'We encountered an error while signing into your Windows Live ID account. Check your Windows Live ID and password and try again'.
Has anybody had this / resolved this before?
Any help would be much appreciated as this is very frustrating!!

if its not correct, you cant connect...

I have been doing some research on the net and it would appear that I am not the only one!
Some of the responses are that it is to do with internet authentication and that on some devices it has been turned off.
I was just hoping that someone on here will of had the same issue and resolved it!
