i need help here ma phone is totally dead nuthing repond in it
i tried 2 setup an old WM5 source & after da installation finished ma ppc was dead & nuthing in it respond & it dont want 2 open
sooo if any1 can help i'll be pleased :X
i rlly need help so if there's any ideas
& btw i tried pressing the camera & power 2 log in the bot screen but i even cant do this ?

u shdunt hav downgraded ur windows..i read smwhere downgrading rom can even make ur phone dead n in ur case i think is same..
so any1 knows how 2 fix it??????????????? i rlly need help
You can enter in bootloader? 3 color screen?
If not try the following:
Remove the battery from gene. Press the power button some times to discharge the residual energy. Now put back the battery and power on your device. The leds should blinks. Now hold the camera button and reset your Gene. This way I believe it will be in bootloader mode and you can flash another ROM.

IF TRI-COLOUR SCREEN COMES, UPLOAD 614 kb's NBH FILE ON CELL VIA ROM UPDATE UTILITY
THEN FLASH ANY COOKED ROM.

my advise pls read Krazys stiky do it word for word and u cant fail his tut is so good even a child can do it but and ur comp is not XP os u need to do some additional things(sorry i don't remember) on ur comp read the stiky it has all req tools and detail explanation save it on ur comp and read it u will succeed
and again give more details what is happening and wat is the errors only when u give such details can u get help chill man ur at the rite place ur problem will be solved

lol i just forgot to use the olip spl so i bricked my phone thats the problem not the rom is the problem

as far as I know, if you have flashed your Gene without uspl, you have to get it to service center. but before you do that, just download your original shipped ROM from xda ftp site and try sd card flashing.

just go to the stickey gene wiki where yu will find link for the wiki page. yoi will find there the jtag method and the link to roms.

MY PROBLEM IS SOLVED CHEK THE LAST POST FOR DETAILS THANKS
i tried to update my ROM with helgees ROM through SD card it did not happen so i used stylus and restarted the phone now its dead not coming on
NEED help any suggestions pls
Note : i said this many time and im repeating when such thread are opened pls re visit the same and do report when the problem solved this would help others who would latter on come to the same thread and try to help u if they know the problem is solved then u have saved their time and energy and they could use the same for some more Usefull purposed (that why i revisited and posted that my problem is solved )

Connect your Phone to PC, press and hold camera then power, it will go to bootloader (three color), if it's not work, press and hold camera then reset, it also will go to bootloader, then flash your phone with other ROM by PC.

Do the same that Besfen told you , and atleast, once remove the battery and then press the key combination(Camera + powerbutton) and then put the battery again,then try what Besfen is saying
(I am assuming that your phone is not off because of the drained battery)

batt i have more than 70% i tried to flash bu SD it was stuk in the screen long time so i used stylus and re set phone now i got this black screen
at least give me an idea to get the PIM backup at least on my comp
i need the pone numbers i dont have active synk backup

You can see contact in pimbackup only if you restore it.
remove the battery, then press the power for 10 - 20 seconds to remove residual power, then insert battery, connect your phone to pc, press and hold camera button, don't release it and reset, release reset first but don't release camera, you can release it if your phone in bootloader (Three color)

That is really a good news,when you said that your gene is dead literally u won't believe i felt that the problem is mine and i lost my gene.

It's Ok yaar.
Tonight i was planning to flash helgee's new rom,but now no more SD card flashing for few days.
Right now i am using besFen's m2d rom.
quite happy with it ,no pros till now. but some features are missing
(Not a complaint)as BEsFen already stated that it's a clean rom.
For a moment I though haree is gone ha ha!
Yupe the problem in sd flashing is that if we flash the wrong rom, then there is chances of getting brick. what do u guys say.?

hey hari...
use active sync man so that you contacts will be saved in MS outlook....if you need a copy of your contacts it will always be there in outlook..simplest way as far as i know...
also once you contacts are saved in outlook you can export them into a excel file and save it safe some where....

1.connect ur phone to ur pc using ur usb cable
2.see if u get the USB text
if so good just use the customer ruu and flash a rom
i used to have a gene i did this once when i got this problem it worked for me

follow dis steps if u r getting error 300
1.get ur bootloader mode (tricolor screen)
2.connect ur device to pc u wil see usb below
3.kill active sync process named wcescommm through task manager
4.run rom update utility
it should work if u hv new gene!! all the best
r u sure that yours is new gene and u have done the oref after knowing that?what happen when u just soft reset or power on the device?only red and green light blink?if yes then u have definately brick your device.if no then try rom for both old and new gene for flash.may be this will help.

dont give the wrong idea one should find out if their mobile is old or new and them flash the right ROM for their phone u cant ask him to flash both old and new gene ROM and try
this is not a trial and error pls if u dont have the solution its fine kindly don't give the wrong idea this is just my sugestion to u that's all

I first tried wid olip rom.. but it didnt work.. and then tried for olipro.. that i think was working ..
then i went for mtty and after that i used rom update utility.. after clicking 2 times on next button its showing error 200 get newer update tool....
what to do not getting anything..

quick fix------reinstall the rom and this time wipe every thing and but every thing I mean every thing!!!!!Ohhh did u root ur device and did u flash clockwork recovery mod. If yes then it's very easy if no the lg repair guys are ur only hope.

..ive rooted already,ive flashed it already...the problem is the lg starting picture is just blinking and doesnt wan to go on CWM .....

Ummmmm......the lg repair guys with have to fix it now. I would sugest to keep trying and let the device be on like that for 5 mins. this same thing happened on my g2x when i put ics but after i removed the battery and left it alone for 5 mins it started to work again.
