I've flashed DCD's 3.3.4 rom to my ntelos ppc6800... I used the sprint carrier cab, but now don't have any data connection. Do I have to manually edit settings? I did record my EPST settings before flashing. Help?
EDIT: Ive reflashed to 3.2.6, sprint cab still not working for me. Is there a way I can put in the settings myself, or does somebody have a carrier CAB for ntelos? I'm seriously screwed here...
Alright, after a few trips to nTelos I finally got my internet connection working. If anyone else has this problem I'll try and explain everything I did the best I can.
After flasing a new rom i have no internet i would love to know how you got it to work
Sorry I didn't see this earlier. If you still need help could you tell me which rom you tried and send me your epst settings?

Hey guys,
I've been doing a lot of reading on the forums here, and finally decided to go with the DCD 3.0.4 from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=385336
I installed the SPL-2.40.Olipro, did the Sprint ROM for the Radio, then did the DCD 3.0.4
The issue I have now is that it's connected as an international roaming connection, with the triangle at the top. I couldn't find anything about this, so I decided to post. I did ##778 and set the NAM Name and verified that the MSID and the ESNs were correct, and they were, and I did *22803
Am I missing something?
Thanks in advance,
Okay, so I think I found out what I did... I let the Sprint ROM load the files after installing it... Which changed the EPST(?) What I don't know, is how to fix this..
You should be able to just reflash your stock rom. You may have to relock your phone. Activate it again. Run olipro again, and reflash the sprint rom. Once it starts to boot put it back into the boot mode. Reflash DCD's rom - reactivate. You should be good to go.
EDIT: So the ROM did have the Radio built in... contrary to what I read in another thread. Working on starting over. Thanks for the help.
Even on the stock ROM after a hard reset I'll often get the roaming triangle. I set it to Sprint Only in the roaming menu and after a few minutes it's OK .
I upgraded to Sprint 3.5 ROM and accidentally let the custom files run and now I get no data. Phone works but cannot connect to data.
I tried many other ROMS like dcd bell version etc. I read in some posts like http://www.htcwiki.com/thread/1439477/Data+connection+problem+after+flashing+ROM
He says to get the STOCK ROM and your previous data internal settings will load back.
Is there any other way because I can't seem to find the BELL 6800 stock ROM anywhere. link me to the file if you know it.
Also is there maybe a BELL version of IOTA?
Man my phone with no data stinks please reply....
I did the ##778# but do not know what to set that will reconnect to data. Some people say you do not need an auth key... if I do how do I get it?
I have the stock ROM that was pulled from UTStarcom's website recently.. it might help you but i wouldn't hold my breath as it was THE reason i had no data for 9 days...
Let me know if you're interested and i'll rapidshare it somewhere.
Adi
DCD_3.0.1_Bell.exe saved my day thanks dcd
Hello everyone! I have searched a lot and after about 6 flashes back to stock and retrying I can't seem to get this to work.. Please I have searched a lot and I am just frustrated now. Here is what I am doing. I unlocked with 2.40 spl, then run sprint rom. Now I don't let it customize. 3.2 rom. then telus cab. I run auto programming on phone *22803 , 1, 1 and show successful. Phone work but no data connection. called telus and re did login for data network phone#@1x.telusmobility.com and esn number. still no data. Can someone who has the latest rom working on their mogul please give me exact instructions or lend me a hand. PLEASE PLEASE. Oh if I relocka and run telus stock rom it all works fine. That is where I am now
Cheers all!!
hey man sorry my details are kinda crappy been awhile since i did it from a stock ROM but i had the same issues...maybe do a search for my posts here and look at them they might be more helpful then my memory....
anyways get your phone locked again and back to stock telus just U NEED to do this so you know you are starting fresh...then unlock and flash with the sprint ROM to get the GPS radio u are after....then re flash with the ROM of your choice if i remember correctly there is a step in 2.40-olipro that you are not doing right where it says disconnect or reconnect or something.....but every time you do it wrong go back to stock everything.......you'll get it man trust me look at my old posts i think i said what i did wrong...and follow the instructions perfectly there is one that is easy to miss if i remember correctly
found my post for u http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=381982
and look here too
http://www.howardforums.com/showthread.php?t=1369027

Well I wrote down all my setting and re flashed 7th time to 3.27 and 3.16 and changed the epst settings. It is working now to flash to 3.42.20 will hope it stays this time

Among other possible problems, you definitely applied the wrong radio. v3.27 of the CDMA radio from February was only intended for builds off of a very early and leaked pre-release Sprint testing ROM.
Where did you get informatino to flash to that radio version?
ever since I installed the rom, my wifi stopped catching signals completely. now I just added the data plan on my phone, and the data isnt working either. Any idea what the problem could be?
EDIT: ALSO I have a verizon phone, yet when I soft reset, Alltell shows up instead of the Verizon Logo. Maybe this has something to do with it
fix
What radio are you using?
Have you tried hard resetting and skipping the customizations? I don't see why Alltel would be displayed if you did a fresh ROM flash, as there is nothing associated with AllTel unless you installed the wrong CAB.
Best bet would be: Go to the Radio 3.40.30 thread, download the Unlocker for Olipro 1.2 and most recent Radio...flash the Unlocker, let it get into Boot Loader mode, then flash the Radio. Then it will boot up again, and flash your phone with Olipro 2.4, then flash the 3.2.3 DCD rom. Install carrier cab, and the Arcsoft one if you need it....then you're done.
The data connection may be another story...but I'd first get the ROM up and going, with the ability to make phone calls / send texts.

Actually that's the funny part, I CAN make calls and texts. I didn't brick my phone or anything, GPS works fine too. The only problem is the WIFI and data connection - should I still go ahead and try that new rom?
problem
I would definitely suggest the whole procedure, from Radio flash and then further to the ROM reflash.
If after you've done all those things, and your WiFi is jacked, at least in my mind, the things probably broken.
Data connection could just be a matter of password being incorrect, or needing a DMU reset. See if you can do the flash to get the WiFI working first.

Do you have aim/msn or something? I updated to DCD 3.2.3 and the wifi works great now. But the data network keeps saying I have the wrong username and password. I even called up verizon for that and they dont know what the problem is. I bet it's incredible simple :/ What is a DMU reset????
Thanks a bunch in advance
EDIT: Also my phone is RIDDLED with alltel settings when it should be verizon, even AFTER all these updates!! I went into the EPST and a bunch of things had alltel. need help fast :/

Ok pm'ed you back! let me know if you get my email, if not i'll just post it here
I've upgraded and changed to:
NueRom v2.2
Chose Verizon, checked the EPST. Everything looked fine, but the m.IP Default Profile is still [email protected].
I was able to get an A-Key (and a password???) from the rep. The A-Key is pretty long.. does that sound about right? Anyway DATA still doesn't work. Any help is greatly appreciated, I'm trying to get this up and running as soon as possible
ok so i flashed from the stock ROM to the dcd 3.2.6 with Radio 3.42.5. Everything went great until i loaded up the WM 6.1 and tried accessing my internet. Couldnt do it and said my username and password were wrong. I do not know whats wrong. any ideas?
you need the carrier cab
i already installed the carrier cab
What carrier do you have?
US Cellular
Are you using a custom ROM for U.S. Cellular or are you using a Stock ROM for your phone?
If you using a stock ROM like Sprint then you might wanna try deleting the IOTA folder.
im using the DCD 3.2.6. dont know if its a stock or custom rom. i looked around my file explorer but there was no IOTA folder
If it didn't come from a major carrier it's a custom rom. DCD is a custom rom.
If your using DCD's then thats a custom ROM and the IOTA folder should not be there.
Hmmmm are your EPST settings correct? Might wanna check under security and see if your info is correct.
What should my username and password be?
Since your U.S. Cellular i would search first and see if you can find a thread that has the EPST settings there and then try to duplicate them on yours.
Since I'm not with U.S. Cellular i can't help you on the settings...Sorry.
Try heading over to howardforums.com and check under the U.S. Cellular forum and see if anyone there can help you out.
