I have bought an SPV M3100 (HTC Tytn). It is my second WinMo phone with touchscreen (first was Eten x500). I've unlocked it (SIM and SuperCID). I've seen here some WM6.5 roms, but they ware moded. I want a CLEAN (original) version of WinMo 6.5 (to customize it myself how i like). I want the WWE version (Romania).
Also, I want to know if WinMo 6.5 have Mass Storage option for card, or i will need a 3rd party program (becouse i don't like ActiveSync) ?

Hi all of you!
I have a Hermes (HTC Tytn/ Orange SPV M3100) and i succesfully tried a lot of ROM’s until these days..
But, this happened:
During upgrade of a ROM, i made the mistake to disconect the device from the PC..
And, now the problem is that i can’t boot ANY OTHER ROM!
I can enter to BootLoader , where i see
HERM100
I PL – 1.04
HERM100
SPL – 2.03
ALSO, i CAN connect to PC (it displays „usb” & i see it on Device manager)
(PC run Vista Ultimate 64 bit).
But, when i try to upgrade ANY ROM , the process starts, BUT STOPS at 0% ? .
I searched & read 4 days for a SOLUTION to make my phone alive again..
Can anyone tell me what to do?
Is a REAL solution for this issue?

hello I´ve recover my m3100 from a dead brick (after used of universal sim lock) to full working phone
Her is my way
1. I´ve first try flashing a windows mobil 5 rom from my qtek 2020 on the m3100 for 2-3 times
2. then I´ve flas it with the new rom from Cingular ther are using bootloader 1,06..... and IT COME BACK ALIVE....
and if you have a HTC HERMES Then you just find a rom with you phons cid her

BUT REMEMBER IF YOU HAVE A ORANGE M3100 YOU CAN´T FLASH OTHER ROMS

- Did the Himalaya flashing process did anything on the hermes?
- Where did the Himalaya flashing process stopped?
- What did you see on the Hermes screen?
- What error did you see on the Himalaya upgrade utility?
- Which rom did you exactly use? (post the ftp link of it please)
2) About your M3100
- Which CID does your hermes have? If it's a M3100 from UK, i guess it is ORANG001, right?
- Which ROM, radio rom and bootloader version did you have on your device when you fixed the problem?
If there's anything else I am missing and you think can be useful, please post it too...

I do not know what the flash didt to my hermes but it seems on usb monitor like it slowly after trying to flash the old 2020 rom 2-3 times went further and further in to the program. the screen turn silver and read USB like on the 2020. Every time it just stop (frozz).
Then I just try the new cirguler rom.
yes my m3100 is a orange001 cid -bootloader 1,04
I don´t know what the original rom was I think it was on off the first orange releast I got it 20/7-2006
(Do you whant me to upload the zip file containing my windows 5 mobile ?)
P.S. now my problem is that I can´t unlock the phone because imei-unlock do not suport bootload 1,06

It's ok, it was original rom from M3100... no problem, no need to upload anything.
If you have dead Hermes try to flash with Hermes_1.18.416.1_1.18.416.101_1.14.00.10_WWE_Ship.exe For me - it`s work.Regards

I have A SPV M3100 anyoane write same ... for unlock and new freez in "Windows mobile"
when i put in 3 color and i see:

And when is in 3 color and connect to PC ActivSync get error cannot recognize this device
I tried to upgrade my imate jamin s200 to smart1_wm6_pp8mb. since the operation did not finished I unplugged the usb cable, therefore the machine didn't work and opening now. now some messages are appearing on the screen (IPL:2.15.0001; SPL 2.15.0001; GSM 02.19.21; OS:10.1.0.811)
i need your urgently help... How can i fix it this problem and upgrade my rom again?
Put your Jamin into bootloader mode (camera button hold+softreset with stylus), connect it via USB (not on a hub!!!!) with your PC and try to flash the last update of Qtek, Orange, iMate or something else you like! If your device booting after this correctly you can re-try the flash to WM6!

When you want to know what ROM you have flashed to your device, go to Start -> Settings -> System -> Device Information! Here you can find all information you need!
By the way: the latest Qtek update for the S200 is 2.20! You can find it trough Gooogle or the board search! Good luck!

Hi animelover,
Just a question...Do you use the OS extract tool to flash only the os without changing the IPL/SPL, or the roms that you wrote about have no IPL/SPL upgrade? I mean did you fash directly or you flashed only the extracted OS?

I'm Luca from Italy, and I'm writing here hoping that You can help me to recover my dead PPC.
My PPC, when living, had Windows Mobile 5 like O.S.
So, As i've some problems with the phone I've decided to downgrade the radio version from 1.17 (people say that it is buggy) to 1.08.
So i run the HimaUpgradeUt_noID (I've also HimaUpgradeUt), but i've forgotten to delete the NK.nbf file from the directory.
I put the PPC in bootloader mode (SERIAL on top and ver. 1.06 on bottom) and then to the cradle directly to the motherboard USB connector
The sofware begin to update upgrading even ROM CE file, but when it arrived at 31% himaUpgrade stopped its work, showing that I need to reset (only normal reset and not soft reset) the PPC From this time until now my PPC show always and only the bootloader view.
When I try to upgrade again, the himalaya soft don't show what my PPC has like rom or radio version. It shows only the Ce rom and Radio that I'm going to ugrade.
It seems that software isn't able to erase ROM IMAGE
Active sync can't identify the device (some time it is indentified as unknown device).
When i start the software for ugrade the Active sync tray icon disappear.
I'm only able to ugrade radio stack or ExtRom.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE, HELP ME.
P.S. The device is unlocked

"Edited:- Problem solved, I loaded the upgrade from a different PC. I don't know why my main PC would not work as that is the one I regularly sinc the pocket PC to, but it just kept aborting the upgrade. Anyone else having this problem, try another PC."

"it was stoping with an upgrade error at the very beggining of the extended ROM flashing no matter which ROM you were flashing to it! At the end they exchanged it for a new one, probably the ROM chip was faulty!"

I'm not able to upgrade my PPC.
The strange thing is that i can upgrade Radio Stack and even Extended Rom!
Only CE ROM wont' update.
Previous CE ROM installed was AKU 3.5 and Windows Mobile 5.0
Everythings worked fine.
Non other way?
I've seen that after launched del himaupgradeUt_noID the Activesync tray icon ho away.
My PPC sometimes ins't "seen" by my XP while other times it is "unknown device"
Why Can I only update RADIO and Extended Rom, while CE Rom not?
... P.S.
evey kind of button that I push the PPC is always in Bootloader Mode!
I'ev tryed: POWER + CAMERA + REC + STYLUS over the hole.
When I put the PPC to battery charger, red led is on until nothing is on the display, while when there is the written over the display, led is off.
No way to help me?

hello. i have the same problem but i have some suspections: i have 3 wersions of wm6 roms. one weight is 64 mb and others 32. and i tkink we are trying install rom from htc, dell or ipaq to our mda or other... so- **** this wrong rom and search for normal rom for himalaya ->

I have updatet my PPC from Windows 2003 to Windows mobile 6.
Now i have downgradet to windows mobile 5 and my telephone (calls) dont work.
I i try to upgrade to another version (wm6) i get an error "Country-ID Error" on my PC and my Pocket PC goes off. If i take my PPC out of the Cradle, my pps returns in the Bootloader modus and "Seriell" have a red Background..
Please help me
which ROM have you used ?
before,, mine is xda-II, and very happy with wm6 from :

try to reflash with another wm6 ROM, i did 4 times reflasher with wm6 ROM different. and stable with C_ShekharAKU7.0c.R40.P24_public

You have a G4 device, this will make a difference regarding what is below.
You must first, SIM unlock the device. here
Then you must HardSPL your device here
Then, you can choose which ROM to use. The majority of cooked ROMs are in english, although there are some localised versions. See here

I just updated two XDA NEO G4 from GER to ENG WM 5.0
Very easy:
1. Download ActiveSync 4.5
2. Download PVTemp 5.0 ROM and do unzip
3. Connect as a guest on Active Sync
4. Go to bootloader mode (Press Comm button and after pres soft reset and release, RGB screen should appear on screen.
5. Connect to USB (USB should apperar in left corner)
6. Start ROMUpdateUtility_NV_G4.exe (if its G4) or ROMUpdateUtility_NV_G3.exe (if its G3) which you can find in PVTemp folder
-----> G3 shows on screen: SPL .000 or .0000
G4 .001 or .0001
(ACCORDING TO THIS YOUR IS G4)
7. Accept al offered
8. Enjoy!
Also reconsider recomendation from l3v5y if you have any troubles upgrading!!!
I have read hundreds of pages before upgrade XDA neo even if I flashed more then 30 devices earlyer (1010,2020,S100,9100)

It´s goodto help someone.Last night I spent few hours reading forum and THERE IS NO SINGLE THREAD HOW TO FLASH WM 5 ROM!! Just 6.0, butfor me imortance is language, not version.
I red this one and decided to try following this from l3v5y and few other topic so final resul was pozitive.
