Little, it feels a bit quicker.
Just instal the update, but first make a backup (Sprite backup).

Can I install this update?
I'm asking because mine TD2 is with a Dutch serial but the language has been changed with a gold card.

Drivers? Active Sync will recognize it, not sure what you mean by drivers

I'm talking about device drivers dude, like for the keyboard and stuff that are in the ROM...
funny thing is that i saw the touch in person today... and i already have most of what the touch has... lol.. oh well..

Im getting my mogul today...sometimes i think i should have gotten a Touch...however the keypad is what sold me for the Mogul. Ill try the touchflo once i get the mogul.
So is the "Touch" LCD different from the one on the Mogul, thus making the screen on the "Touch" more responsive?

Actually it is more like 69-71Mb on boot. It slowly drops down to like 65Mb free after about a day opening and closing applications. My battery actually dies before the memory leak gets so bad that it actually slows down my phone.
I really wish there was a way to get a RAM upgrade for you guys. Everyone should have this kind of memory on their phone.

Hey guys i have a sprint htc touch but surching i fount a udate from alltel to make the gps work i did it but i just want to put it back into sprint sofware can you help me please...everything is alltel i dont want that (sprint rom or something).
I got my Touch Dual earlier today and am discovering it bit by bit...
I've already made a few hardware observations which I've posted in another thread and will hopefully merge into this one.
Seven hours into the Touch Dual, one thing that still puzzles me is the ROM. Putting aside the lightning fast speed and the brilliant quality of the actual hardware (casing), there are some tiny itsy little bits that have not been extracted and included in the ROMs that simulate the Dual for the regular Touch- until now [correct me if I'm wrong] I have discovered the different graphical representation of the call lists (Missed, Dialed, Received) and the large buttons to make it finger-friendly.
Other things that still puzzle me are the following:
1. The Touch Dual has only four tabs on HTC Home (Home, Weather, Launcher, Profiles) - until yesterday I was using the 6-tab Home plug on my regular Touch and I always assumed it came from the Touch Dual. A friend of mine has the Kaiser and that doesn't come with the 6 tabs so I'm wondering where it comes from
2. Network Plugin. Again, I have been using this feature for a while and assumed it was extracted from the Touch Dual but it's not on my Dual.
3. The HTC (busy) animation. Where does this come from? I was using this on my Touch (I installed it) and I was expecting to find it on my Dual but the Dual has the regular vista-like busy animation and I had to install the HTC animation myself
I will add more as I discover the device more and anybody please correct me wherever I may be wrong. I am still learning the Dual!

6 tab homeplug came with the ELF you had it from the day you got your Touch... all images were there just not activated.
the reason why there are only 4 tabs .. is because it has the Cube and the cube has a Quick dialer and a Mediaplayer so there is no need for these to be in the home plug too.

you mean to say that all this time we never needed to download any of the updated Home plug cabs or HTC Home Customiser and all it needed was a simple registry edit??? I was using my regular Touch until this morning when I got the Dual and had always wished I could get the tabs to appear without having to install anything.

no the images where there but they were not activate and some dll's were needed and thats what the cabs are for.... but the ide of the 6 tab came with the ELF
why don't you open your touch dual and see if there is any wifi module?

I absolutely agree. We need a dedicated Touch Dual forum because it is not identical to the Touch

I got it from Sharaf DG in Times Square... I didn't even know it was out- just saw it by chance yesterday when I went to buy something else

Have you managed to test to see if there's a GPS hardware present in the dual?
I heard with it having the same chipset as the kaiser its possible its in there but not activated.
I presume if its there its on comm 4.
could anyone test this for me ?...before i go order one.

I also heard the same and read it on another forum- that the Touch Dual's chipset has built in support for Wifi and GPS... Let's hope it's true!

Yeah its the same with the s730 smartphone...not actually in the specs but present in hardware.
Installing google maps and setting comm 4 found the GPS and signal.

Little bit different on the Touch Dual. Only COM7 seems to react in some way. Still trying to get somewhere with it though... Any ideas about Wifi?

you guys are so amazing the way you do these software.. so gooood..
i bought a new MDA Touch plus. was working great but was missing the TouchFlo Cube in it.. tried installing the cab which was available here but it gives a permission error when installing (at around 80% completed) to be precise it says something like "this doesnt have permision to install this program"... like...so i thought it is something wrong with the Rom and i flashed with Mary 0.3.
hmm sad to say i'm not quite happy comparing to the T-mobile rom. PLUS still i cannot install touchflo cube, it gives the same error message.
now i've lost my t-mobile rom plus touchflo cube. can anybody suggest me a good rom which will support touchflo?
or i dont even mind getting back to old t-mobile rom.
my Wife has the same modal but still with the t-mobile rom. any possibility i can copy that ROM??

got the mda touch plus too, and it worked fine from the first try, even with the original mda rom!! maybe something´s wrong with yours...
by the way: every rom has touch flo i think only the ones who say its removed dont, but usally it is there

6-sided? Where's the 6-sided Cube???
Today i bought the HTC Touch Pro, i updated the rom to a newer version but when is start up the phone the screen is freezing while the openings-screen appears (where you see your ROM-version in red letters). I already did a hard-reset, but it didn't help. What can i do now?
well, hopefully you didnt update the phone to the wrong type of ROM(CDMA vs GSM). Who is your carrier? and what rom did you try and flash?
Did you use Hard SPL first before flashing??

Need to know a little bit more before anyone can help you out.

I used Hard SPL first it's a CDMA i think i used the one for GSM is there a way i can still fix my phone now???

Honestly if the phone is only a day old from a store I would exchange it and be more careful flashing. If this is not an option, you will have a difficult road a head of you. Try searching around. If I wasnt at work I would search for some threads for you. There are a LOT of people here who can help.

I think i'll wait for the official release of Windows Mobile 6.5 on the HTC Website...
The only problem now is that the Touchflo 3D theme dissapeared from the phone...
I had installed the newest german MiRom 6 with HTC-Sense. Everything was working smooth and very nice. Then I installed the attached cabs and i restarted my phone. Since then nothing is working. You see the Toshiba Screen and than it get's black. When I connect it to the PC the connection sound is played but nothing get's regocnized.
So what can i do? Oh dear.. I hope I havent messed anything up..

Okay I saved via Masterclean. Still I want to know what might have happened. It must have been one of Miro's cabs. But which one? At least its no longer bricked.

sorry for that. good to see your device realive. Maybe causes from a keyboard cab.
Wich cab´s (keyboard) you have installed? a great problem is if you install htc keyboard 1.5 and htc keyboard 2.1- then you have a coflict with registerd cslid= device not boot
yes that was my problem i used now the autocab installation just to be safe and now everything rocks. its really great work. Only sometime you see the old Windows Mobile behind HTC Sense and know that you use that.
When I think about the really bad 6.1 the TG01 came with. That really is some sweet improvement.
