Excellent 8125 Replacement Parts - Cheap

If you are looking to replace your 8125 case here's an excellent deal.

I've purchased one of these and it includes all the buttons. The antenna cover already had the antenna installed. It even included the black rubber gasket around the display. All I had to move was the ear piece and the vibrator.
I don't know if they are take offs but mine was in A+ shape. They don't include the back cover.
Awesome!
Beats paying $50+ for a new shell...
My only question is; can you move the MDA circuitry to the 8125 shell? Seems logical, seeing as both are the same hardware.
Great find... They also have the wiz200.

I got the same housing from this seller and it's brand new! No scratches, no nothing. Just be aware that it does not include the battery cover.

I bought one from them and sent a message to them that there was a chip in the corner of one of the pieces.
In the auction listing, it states that they may come damaged but should not affect working order.
So...be aware that there may be cosmetic damage.
They were kind enough to send a replacement, which I should be getting in a few days.
Hopefully, it will be a new piece.
Update:
These guys are great....well in my case anyways.
In the previous post I mentioned that a had a chipped corner on the housing and requested a new piece.
Well, those guys sent out a whole new setup..this one was in great shape....dont know if it was new, but looks practically brand new.
There was never any questions on their end...they just sent out another one.
I would recommend them highly. Great customer support.
O btw, I told them I would send the original one back...they said to keep it.
WOW...top notch guys.
I just ordered one of those cases i'll make sure to let you all know how it comes when i get it!
Very Nice... there were a few minor scratches on the corners and buttons but other than that the housing i bought for my wizard was in great shape! no battery door cover tho

Ordered it last night...Should be here middle of the week.I hope it's in good condition.

i was about to assemble the wizards guts in to the new shell, but the keypads dont line up, if i go along and assemble, i wont have use of the send call button and the end call button, and some other buttons as well
Good Deal

I just ordered a shell for my T-Mobile branded Wizard 200....I hope it will be practically new like the Cingular Branded Wizard 100 shell I ordered earlier...

Is this part need to protect the phone?

I dropped my phone today and I lost the little black "dot" on upper left of the back door (see picture).
Does anybody know if this piece protects the phone.Should I buy a new cover or can I just leave it that way?
Thanks
It's the cover for the connector that will connect to a car antenna. I don't think it's a big deal.
Cool, no worried then. Thanks a lot.
mine didn't have that cover when i got it wow i can hook this up to a car, learn something new every day i love this site
no this really doesnt matter but if u want and new one u can buy a new back piece on ebay for about 4 dollars

[Q] Replacement Lens housing/Battery Cover

Hey,
Does anyone know where i might be able to get a new one? I cracked the glass some time ago now and would like to get it replaced.
Also anyone know where i can obtain a new or refurbed battery cover as mine seems to be peeling.
Thanks,
Healy.
I got mine here: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/NEW-GENUINE-HTC-HD2-BLACK-BACK-HOUSING-REPLACEMENT-/260655128116?pt=UK_MobilePhones_MobilePhoneAccessories_MobilePhoneFascias_JN&hash=item3cb0419e34
Delivery was quick and the parts seem to be the same as the orginal
Thats great! Did it take long to fit?
No, not too long maybe 30 mins or so.
You need some basic tools (T4 Torx driver and a case opener) you can buy what you need at the same place http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/REPAIR-OPENING-TOOLS-KIT-PDA-MOBILE-PHONES-6-PCS-/110575259857?pt=UK_Mobiles_Accessories_RL&hash=item19becc90d1
Then you'll need the first few minutes of video 1 here http://pocketnow.com/hardware-1/official-htc-hd2-disassembly-assembly-training-videos-leaked It's pretty straight forward, basically you take out the battery remove 4 screws, pry off the old cover, fit the new one and then reverse the process!
Just be careful of static, if you're not feeling confident you should be able to find a shop tp do this for you.
Hope this helps

[Q] Rubber Stopper Stuck in prime...

Hi all, So when I first got my prime their were two rubber stoppers in the docking ports on my prime. I got one out but the other was stuck. I fiddled with it for about an hour and finally gave up. I figured I didn't need as I have not purchased the dock. Until now....for the gps extension kit. Does anybody have any ideas on how to get it out???
Well....no replies........anyhoo....I fixed it. If anyone else has this problem, get a staple. Bend it to make it straight. And wedge it behind the stopper. Worked like a charm!!!
Lonely thread, I feel your pain.

Contact ASUS service center for help and you will not lost the warranty.
i used tweesers, you might also try a paperclip (larger, easier to hold on to) just bend a hook in the end with pliers...
worst case scenario you might be able to use one of the tongs of a fork, just be carefull not to scratch the screen or back of the case!
Glad to hear you got it out. Those suckers can be a pain to remove sometimes.
I used a wooden toothpick to get those rubber feet out.
With the right tool you should be able to get the rubber stopper out. A dental probe with a hook on the end would be ideal. If you can't get one, try to fabricate something similar, such as a paper clip or needle with a hook on the end. Use needle nose pliers to hold it and to work it out.
Thanx for all the replies everyone! I got it out using a bent staple.

[Q] Screws way too tight... Any help?

I want to install an SD card, but the back plate of the Truesmart... is not possible to remove.
I've used the OEM screwdriver and my own screwdrivers, but I've only managed to undo two screws; the other two are stuck. I think it might be the fact that the grooves of the screws are too flat.
However, does anybody have tips or recommendations to undo these two screws?
There are tiny stickers that say "OK" under a microscope over two of the backplate screws, to prevent tampering and inserting your SD card and having to do warranty replacements. If you didn't remove them first, they are now filling up the inadequate Phillips #000 head slots with plastic sticker.
Throw away the little screwdriver thing it shipped with, unless you need it for stabbing Smurfs.
If you have to drill out the screws, the spare ones shipped with the watch are better quality anyway.

Use a better screw driver. I had to use one of my precision screw drivers to get sufficient grip on the screws to unscrew them.

Be a bit careful, though, because one of my Sim card Compartment screws was way tight and I used a proper screw driver--and the screw sheared leaving about 1 mm stub in the bottom of the screw thread hole--at least, that is what I think must have happened since the screw in question is now about 1 mm shorter than the other.
I have written a nice letter to Omate, and got an initial reply--but, it's anyone's guess what their remedy will be?? Not a replacement watch I am sure.
Drilling and tapping screws that small is not possible--at least not by me.
I ended up having to apply heat to the screws in the sim cover to remove them. Intresting enough, there was no sign of threadlocking agent when the screws finally came out.
What exact kind of Screwdriver do you need?
I have problems with the standard one that came with the TS. No I want to buy a better one from Amazon or hardware-store.
I have the same issue, the screwdriver that came with the TS is pretty much useless. I was able to remove just one screw and the rest did not budge...
I am really disappointed with the design flaws of this device.
Yep, stock screwdriver is a POS.

The driver I used is marked P0 - and i think it is this:

I think I bought mine in Tesco, it's pretty handy and better quality than I expected.
