Does anyone know how to change red letters at the bottom of the screen when you boot up, I have tried other roms that have the rom name down there, but for the life of me can not figure out how to change it.
AFAIK, it's not an easy task to hide the boot screen information in the bottom right corner.
Have a look at this thread; you'll probably need to do a bit more reasearch from there - I haven't personally tried it.

Yes, u can change the ROM version no. actually.
Top = radio version.
Middle = protocol (related to radio)
Bottom = ROM version.

You can edit either *.nbh, os.nb, os.nb.payload, xip.bin, nk.exe, etc.
But I still cant figure how to change the leading first digit version (no 5 in screenshot)
What app do you use to edit those files?
U can use any hex editor. I'm using HexWorkshop (the best so far)
none of those files seem to have it.
what u r trying to search? of course u cant find ROMeOS unicode string on other rom
If the rom is based on 5.11.X, u can start with searching for 5.11 unicode string (address may vary).
I am using sacs kitchen and it says 1 warrior down there tried searching for warrior
Are you Searching Unicode? Is the search direction set correctly? If it is using a traditional rom numbering scheme, you'll need to break it down, or search using the space characters [], or you can convert it to HEX & sear for the equivalent hex string. For the Radio, you'll need to change the number on the radio ROM.

I think you might want Massimo colored top bar,there was a cab but for some reason I can not find it now but it is out there. O wait here it is...ta da
Hi,
yup thats what i want. i already tried it, but unfortunately, only the speaker icon changed.
do you have any clues on what i could have changed that conflicts this mod?
(all that i have installed is some spb product and modified couple of things with advanced config, but nothing regarding the taskbar)
Dont know if you figured this out yet...there is another cab file you need to go along with the one above... I have an htc touch pro and have gotten all the icons to work except the one with the satellite.
what sbp stuff do you have in place of touchflo?
Try this file...it is the tsowen task bar. I used this with great success as long as you have followed the walkthrough

You are very welcome. Glad I could be of some help.
Hello,
I don't know if this is the right place to put my question. Sorry if this isn't the place. And sorry for my English. It isn't really good.
But I have a question. I really like the apps on the Iphone and I'm glad to see that there are coming a lot apps to the HD2.
For example. Take the site of fanatik. You have this for mobile. When I go to this site with my HD2 is see the mobile version. Now you can place favorites on your HD2 so you can click on it and go directly to the site.
On the Iphone they made a button of it. You can go to your apps click on it and go to the site. The difference is the button on the menu.
I'm fan o buttons so my question is, is it possible to make such as buttons and link it to the internetsite. So when you click on start you can scroll down to the fanatik button and click on it.
Greetzz.. Fito!
you can use, for example, MortButtons to "list" your favorites... in buttons.
SEARCH AND YOU WILL FIND...

as you see in these picts, i created the links and added them to a folder in the start menu. you can also make links to videos, playlists, ebooks and other files to add into your startmenu. i didnt change the icons yet because i just flashed this rom an hour ago. also for future flashing, make a copy of the folder with the shortcuts you have created in the start menu and save it to a folder on your sd. after you flash you can just copy the folder back into the start menu later. just keep in mind that you can not move the original files because the shortcuts wont find them later. also for the icons change, if you export the icon settings from csmi icon changer, you can import them later and you dont have to change icons one by one later...also dont move the location of those icons because the import wont find them later.

edit:
when changing icons, remember to delete the files in My Device/Application Data/HTC/ProgLauncher. These files are the old icons and if you dont delete them, your icons will not change to the newly assigned ones.
Last (?) release of that three weeks learning.

My scope was to change to french the language of my asia wwe Mega, to upgrade it to the latest rom available for this device and to have a clean rom in which I can install later any themes and apps.
Thanks to that great community of XDA, I've progressively addressed in four releases the issues I've met, begining with the flashing of Hspl.
This release XTrebh 3.0 addresses in a transparent way :
- TaskManager icon superposing with the date at the right upper corner of the home screen (by using MMTaskManager) ;
- Scroll bar at the right of the phone dialer ;
- Home screen weather updating and weather tab updating ;
- Wifi sleeping on standby screen ;
- Fonts too big for the new soft buttons.
All these solutions are already cooked in this ready to flash rom and don't require any handling after the flashing.
I've removed GPS Copilote because of incompatibility and put NETCFv3.5 and NETCFv3.5-Messages.
Plz feedback .

Cooking radio 3.53.25.20 in a custom rom with OSKitchen Zero
Here is one way. (with the file Radio_Mega_3.53.25.20.exe found here, thanks Mondilv).
It worked for me, but do it at your whole responsibility.
1 - use winrar and extract the file Radio_Mega_3.53.25.20.nbh from the .exe file ;
2 - use nbhextract.exe (as administrator if win 7) from _FilesNeeded_czdjj.zip (find it here and read. Thanks czdjj) to extract the file 00_unknown.nb from the file Radio_Mega_3.53.25.20.nbh ;
3 - 00_unknown.nb is the radio file to be selected in the rom section of the advanced tweaks tab of OSKitchen Zero.
still no english?
I've got an SGS that was on CM9, I'm now using pawitp's CM10 Alpha & have noticed something missing:
The arrows on the search box that allow you to enter autocompleted text without seaching for it (just adds the autocomplete to your search string) is missing. See the screenshots below for comparison (ICS (or GB?) on the left, JB on the right)
Was that something added by CyanogenMod? Or is it part of Android that's been dropped? I used to use it a lot! Back in the days of the HTC G1 you could use the track ball to scroll down through the list, but without that you're reliant on the arrows.

All versions of CWM recovery I've tried and built for the HTC Desire SV (dual sim) has this strange behaviour: when scrolling down through the menu, the screen jumps some characters for every odd menu item, and is correctly displayed for every even menu item.
This is with CWM Recovery 6.0.3.6.
Is this a bug, or any way to configure my source files to correct this?

Happens also on 6.0.1.2. More obervations: the first 50 pixels or so are missing in the rendering of the page (can be seen in the bottom left corner: a black row of pixels, under "Warning"). Having a look at ui.c, miniui.c, seems to be a bug when flipping pages.
Fixed by disabling page flipping
Fixed it by changing some code in bootable/recovery/minui/graphics/c ....
This is where it goes wrong:
vi.yoffset = n * vi.yres;
Somehow, this also introduces an x-offset, at least on my device.
Although exact root-cause is yet unclear, I made a non-page flipping CWM recovery. Let me know if anyone's interested.
The quick fix can be downloaded from this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2487211. Will probably commit this fix upstream on github ad well, once I figured out how.
I still wonder if this bug is device related, please post a reply and let me know if you also experience it, which device, which ROM, etc.
