Please someone help me! My Cingular 8125 has died after an updat Wm6.1 to WM6.5, I was trying to install. All I got now is this screen. What should I have to do? You can try a hard reset by pressing and holding the CommManager key and the Voice dial key while doing a soft reset.

Download one of the listed ROMs.
Turn the phone off, press and hold the camera key, now insert the USB data cable, you must continue to press and hold the camera key until you see the boot loader screen.
On the boot loader screen you will see IPL SPL and on the bottom of the screen USB.
Now flash the ROM.

The instructions above will help you flash your phone but they won’t help you recover data.

The translation is very bad. I would suggest that anyone posting questions through a translator should also include the question in their native language. That way, if the translation is bad, perhaps someone can offer an improved version.
In this case, I think the problem is either that there are eels in your hovercraft, or perhaps you have a G4 and bricked it by loading G3's IPL/SPL.
I don't know how to solve the first problem, but the second cannot be solved with the normal tools at hand. Good pardon.

Short answer: It is not possible yet, you must wait for a shipped version.
Long answer: A ROM consists of 7 parts:
1. Extended ROM
2. OS Image
3. IPL (part of bootloader)
4. SPL (part of bootloader)
5. Splash screen
6. HTC Logo (normally uses the same image as the splash screen)
7. GSM radio code
You can dump the original rom, but only the things contained in the FLASH will be dumped, this does not include the IPL, SPL, splash and radio parts, so its unuseful for flashing it back.

I was wondering if you could point me in the right direction with my problem.
I've tried to upgrade my HTC Tytn original ROM to JasJam ROM , right at the end (99%) the updating software stoped , gave me an error and restarted the computer. Now all i see on my tytn is dots with mixed colours all over the screen(not even a tri-color mode) it looks like a broken tv. Now i can't even sync it with my PC to install old ROM. Can't do anything with it now. the reason for this i guess is a ROM update that wasn't completed.
I've tried to use bootloader but it didn't give an 'USB' option. just com1 and com2.
Please help. Iam really desperate

1) try SD card flashing:

2) If it doesn't work, put the unit in bootloader mode, disable activesync usb on your computer (Connection settings -> disable USB connection) and try to flash a ROM using the usual method.
Other than this... I can only tell you trying to get a repair under warranty

I've tried to do the SD Rom update but it doesn't work. Just shows me the same bootloader screen with those two messages(above). Pushing the powere button doesn't do anything
The bootloader update didn't work either. when i typed in "set 14 0" it said "Write Nand Success" but when i soft reseted it , it still gave me that screen.
Any ideas what i can do? other then send it for repairs.

Just tried SDCardFlashing with different ROM files.
With the original ROM it does not do anything (stays in the bootloader screen)
With JasJam (that's the one i've tried to install) it show "checking..." message on screen , but does not do anthing.............been like that for 10 minutes.

At least bootloader is still "intact", the right NBH file should be the one matching your CID, assuming that you have a TyTN it should be the TyTN 1.18 rom.
If you can go into bootloader and send commands using mtty check your CID with command "info 2".
Also try to do a rom upgrade using the usual proces while the unit is connected in bootloader mode and activesync usb disabled, click on RomUpgradeUt.exe, then Next ,next, next... if it fails tell me which error you get and where.

I've tried to run RomUpgradeUt.exe
This produced ERROR[222]: DEVICE NOT RESPONDING. I get it at the end , after the updater asks me for final confirmation.

The RUU sends "task 32 ; info 2 ; info 3" commands to bootloader, but you get no output from it, I think it's screwed because none of the three commands is answered by your device.
Normally, task 32 should return the seclevel, usually 0xFF ; info 2 should return the CID (in TyTN it is QTEK_001) and info 3 should return the block to calculate the dynamic password to be able to use wdatah command. Without wdatah you cannot flash

HTC has not "officially" released any rom for the hermes yet, the tytn rom we have on the ftp is leaked from dangaard NL, so you cannot say you've been trying to upgrade the rom because they will tell you there are no rom upgrades available yet.
If you are not in a hurry to have your phone back you can wait until they release a ROM upgrade and then tell them the "truth"... but i don't know if they will be able to see that you flashed Imate ROM and not HTC ROM (and flashing another brand's rom voids your warranty). If they don't notice it, the repair should be under warranty and no charges for you.
If you are in hurry, just tell them you tried to flash the imate jasjam rom (downloaded from imate ftp) and phone screwed, they will charge you some money to repair / flash back the original htc rom on your device and return it to you, but you'll have to pay because this is not covered by the warranty.
I don't know how much will they charge you for this, but you can explain them by phone and ask...

First of all if you have a G3 why are you posting in the G4 subforum?
Why do you need to downgrade the SPL? Aren't you already CID unlocked, according to your post you have a custom rom installed?
You could try to flash a FULL Official Carrier rom to try to overwrite your bootloaders with an older version. Don't know if there are commands disabled in the new bootloaders to prevent this from happening though.
As long as you can get to the bootloader your phone isn't dead. Whenever this happens to me I always recover to an official carrier rom then proceed to the custom rom of my choice.

i found method for this, its used with G3, so we need confirmation to be sure, if it may help you too.... it "shouldnt" be dangerous...but better wait for reply of masters here...i saved my machine with that one...
my english is so damn poor...forgive me,please...
method:
-you need to format sd card to fat16(fat)
-kill wcescomm process from task manager on pc,
-find program named romupdate.exe, or mtty.exe
-go into bootloader mode, and plug wizard on usb,
-find in options of mtty(romupdate.exe) port, choose \\.\WCEUSBSH001
-now, press enter on main screen of mtty(romupdate),
-on >CMD type r2sd - it will make special header(and copy of os too, but its less important) which may help to make format with other method,
-wait 'till process ends,
-softreset pocket to get into bootloader mode...and do what machine says, its other method for format, when it ends, it "may" boot normally after softreset(you may try to do hard reset to confirm), even if it is not booting, format will let you to flash once more.
if it is stuck on bootscreen again, find info about rescue flash, now, it should be possible after that "format". If hard reset says "format failed" you wil not be able to flash anything - if it is not, you may do wantever you need, so try to flash wizard love, then any ROM with shelltool(yup yup its not typical for g3, but for me its ONLY method)..
i am not sure, if its useful..i saved one machine by that method...

3.08 SPL/IPL are bad Converted from Charmer. If you Flash your Phone with this Firmware ... your Phone think its a Charmer!! No Original Vendor Firmware works with this SPL Version.
I have reflash a old SPL Version via imei-check.co.uk but i have a G4 Prophet. Try to use IMEI Unlock for Charmer ... and hope it works if not talk with imei-check.co.uk. They have a Special Updater and they Flash a Old SPL for you.

to force writing Windows.nb ,just changed the bat file to write the new OS and it worked, my Athena now has English OS from RUU_Athena_HTC_WWE_1.25.405.2_1.38.00

Its NOT Cid unlocked, it uses some utilities by itsme to write directly to the NAND flash that the OS is stored in

Guys I'm all for progress and this going in the right direction, but it is NOT properly CID unlocked. Be very careful peeps before someone bricks their device!
This is why we have set up the Athena project, to avoid this and get some pro's to help us.
I hope everyone agrees that Midget_1990 should be on board as he is experienced with ROM cooking and the likes for the VGA 3G Universal and is the only xda developer who has showed an active interest in our forum.

it could be risky to force OS with this procedure as we all know that there is a problem with athena cutting connection, read this:-

I heard from somebody that there was a way to CID unlock an Ameo with the old original radio ROM from T-Mobile. You had to flash back to an early Radio, then you could remove CID lock (or the early radio didnt have a CID lock in it). Then you could flash a normal Athena Radio back into it. He was vague about it but promised to email me the full procedure. He never did.
Is this worth looking into?

it received is ok ,but not send anything to any phone.

Hi,
I wd like to report here that when the call button is pressed to dial a number the dialer application comes up fine and shows you the last dialed number but when we press the dial button again nothing happens it does not dial.even the call button on the touch screen portion does let you dial that number.its only when we select the hide keypad option it shows the call history and you can now dial the number either on touch screen or from the hardware button.
otherwise the ROM's great and is much faster in booting up as compared to other 6.1 ROMs.The boot screen and startup screens could hv been better but then we can change it ourselves.
Ghost-u think u can look into this dialer application issue.

Nobody is responding to queries posted here.I think ghost has dissapeared or is very busy.i think we should think twice before using this ROM as there is no support from the creator like Abusalza.
@Ghost_kh_07, I downloaded your latest version, installed to my device with no problem, but when the screen came to "reset to factory settings", my device became not responding, so I click the reset button to reset, the boot time was extremely slow (like 2 times slower than usual) then the screen came to installing programs options. After installing additional appications, the screen asked whether I wanna soft reset my device or not, I tapped on "yes" and reboot, and it seemed like taking forever to boot, I tried pressing reset button serveral times and still couldnt boot up my device then I tried a cold boot (Power button and reset button at once), it worked as booting up my device
After rebooting, today screen looked wierd, it was not like the first time I boot, the big clock showing the time was disappeared, I dont know what it was any way, and so I do a soft reset again hoping everything would go back to the way it was, it took me like forever to boot up again, I tried cold boot and it didnt work anymore, and so it stopped booting under reset, cold boot, restore factory default. I could still enter bootloader mode, but couldn't install any rom, since the most recent rom installed require to upgrade rom in OS mode.
After searching around to look for a method to recover my device and found nothing, I remembered reading in Atom Wiki, a post wrote that we could recover bootloader by removing the battery and wait for a minute, then press reset + camera button and put the battery in. I did exactly as the instruction, my device didnt boot up in bootloader mode but a normal boot, but it boot up to windows mobile and I plug it to my PC and install another worked rom. So do you know what happen? I was impressed by your work of unique and nice GUI, I'll try your next update if possible

I just bought a USED TYTN Pro. The person i bought it from put his own rom on there. What I would like to know, is if I decide to change to a different COOKED rom, do I have to follow all steps in the newbie guide? Or can I skip ahead because he already has a cooked rom in there and may have already done some steps.
I tried to do the reset and i dont get a tricolor screen, i just get

look at the stickies, the 4th one, (hard spl), look at the FAQ to enter bootloader
Get into your Bootloader (hold down camera+power buttons while inserting stylus for approximately 3-5 seconds). It should show SPL-3.28.Hard or SPL-3.29.Hard on the second line of text on your screen. If not then you didn't flash the new HardSPL, try again.

You should be able to get to the Tri-Color screen. What are you doing to get to the screen? Try holding the Power & Camera buttons and press reset. Keep holding the Power/Camera buttons until you get to the bootloader (tri-color) screen.
All you need to do is make sure the device is HardSPL. If it is, then you can flash other ROMs.
Looks like you've flashed Hard SPL once. If yes, from now on, you can directly proceed with the flashing of new ROMs right after download.

The Kaiser is much better in form and function. You should always know what you're getting yourself into PRIOR to purchase (A newb mistake). I'm sure Mods will move this... somewhere

Second, the questions you ask are subjective.
Yes, the Kaiser is a newer model and has additonal features but there are users who swear by the older models. In fact there are apps the work better on the Hermes and even the Wizard than the Kaiser (gotta love video driver issues!).
I would suggest you do some research, this forum is a great place to start. You've got a lot of reading to do, don't expect to be spoon-fed here check the links in my signature so keep your self out of trouble (especially the What is XDA-Devs).

i got the hermes 200, just flashed with some manilla rom, works great. just 5 questions i couldnt find answers to;
1)Had a nokia n95, exported phonebook to .CSV and .TXT, how do i get that into this phone?
2)I was shown the gps receiver working, but since i flashed dont know how to get satellite aquisition
3) Anyway i can use mp3 for Text alert and Alarm?
4)(Manila2D) V.20 Build 20921 by PhamQuang is what im using, is it the best for manilla 2d?
5) Where can i get voip sw to work with the above rom

1st, you need Hard SPL V7 on your Hermes to be safest when flashing new roms...
1. Manually enter. You could also bluetooth across if the contacts are still in the n95.
2. Pair the receiver. then go to advanced. assign a serial port ( I use 4). Next, at the bottom of the screen, pick com ports. Pick set new then highlight the GPS receiver. Assign port number you want (some ports aren't available as the Hermes uses these.). Open the GPS software you use (I use Tomtom) and select the port you are using. Violla. Good to go.
3. There are some apps available but I can't remember what they're called, do a search.
4. Don't use Manilla.
5. Don't use voip.
You need to search as these things have been answered. try a combination of keywords if you don't get a hit straight away.
