First of all i would like to thank all you chef's for the great menu you provide
Tastes are incredibly smooth and you use fresh ingredients all the time
What else could i ask?
On the second thought i can ask something
I have become irritating asking the same question in differnet roms
Maybe it is a problem in my touch pro
Why does my clock lose synchronisation?
One moment all ok and suddenly time stays stuck...
I repair it and all is good again
But suddenly this happens again
An one more thing
In some roms while i use gmt+2 athens it changes it by itself in [email protected]@#@ something i cannot remember
Thank you for the time you took reading it and for the time you take making these great roms
p.s
Maybe there are more with the same problem
If there are please state it to see that i am not alone in this cruel world
Me too
I am also facing the same issue nowadays. I am using RRE23016v3Manila ROM version. This is a new issue i got after flashing this.
wrong clock too
I have the same problem too with the clock..and all the appointments'time becoming error too..
This issue is solved in Manila 2.1. You can also fix it with this.
Ok with time zone
But i do not lose 1 hour
I lose 20 minutes for example
it is not a timezone problem
I saw this answered by deksels in another thread. Here is deksels answer:

Clock gets out of sync
Like others here, I face the same problem. At a certain moment I will loose sync of time. The amount the clock is off varies per event.
It is not a DST issue, but something else.
It seems that it occurs randomly, but mostly after an event (alarm or reminder) occured.
Any one any suggestion what is happening here?
Although it is claimed that the issue has been solved with Manila 2.1, it is still occurring sporadically. The only way to fix it is to set the clock right in Settings -> Clock & Alarms. Just do not touch the big clock in TF3D ;-)
Cheers...
and when i touch it when i talk on phone???
lol that's what i thought it was the problem
Wrong clock
i also experienced the same problem...it's not about timezone or manila.i use energy rom 3.0...it's so irritating when you realize you are late for something important as the clock stuck at certain time..maybe i should buy a watch someday

I'm having a similar issue and it's using 6.5 without Manila. The clock appears to stick and when I "tab" the power button to turn on the display, only then does it suddenly try to update the time on the display and it usually 1 - 2 minutes behind or forward on the Titantium/CHome Clock app than the "Top Bar" clock. This also causes issues when an alarm is set and goes off. Dismissing the alarm will sometimes cause the time to suddenly reverse one minute so the next minute, the alarm sounds again. This morning, it looped 3 times!

Hi,
I am having issues with my SMS notification. Since a few days when I receive an SMS the notification doesn't dissapear after I read the SMS.. Anyone knows a solution for this problem? (I can't find anything on google.. Maybe I'm using the wrong keywords, I don't know.. )
Cheers,
Trinorae
I used to have a problem where the lights would keep glowing after reading - is that what you are experiencing?
I haven't seen this since flashing to MoDaCo 2.2 however when I used to occur I found back'ing out of the messages app and then back in seemed to clear it...or something like that.
I experience the 'keep-flashing-light' problem now and then, but I suppose that's just some kind of a bug (that always dissapears by itself) I don't think it is linked with my problem. My problem is that the notification itself stays in the notification-window after reading the SMS.
When I had this problem I had to drag down the notifications page from the top of the screen and then drag it back up again (clicking on "clear notifications" if it was there). That seemed to stop the light, but it's not the best work around and may not work in all cases...
As I said the light is not my problem.. It's the notification itself that doesn't disappear.. And I can indeed remove it manually, but that's not how it is supposed to work, so I want to know whether there is someone who knows how to fix this. (And not the light-problem..)
Apologies for misunderstanding your comment "I experience the 'keep-flashing-light' problem now and then" to mean that you had a problem with the light!
The reason I mentioned the light is that I personally believe that it is linked to the problem you are describing. In my experience (and I believe I have read this elsewhere too) the light in the trackball will only flash as a notification for a short period (you don't mention which light you mean, the trackball or the small led above the screen, so I'm making an assumption). I have noticed that the trackball will continue to flash for a pre-set period (10 minutes maybe?) or until a notification is cleared. Reading a message should indeed clear the notification, but sometimes it does not. When reading the message doesn't clear the notification then the light will continue to pulse as if the message had not been read.
You originally requested a solution to your problem - a solution is to click on "clear notifications". This is not ideal, granted, but unfortunately I have been unable to find a better alternative without any further details...
Which ROM are you using for a start? I have not noticed this problem again since upgrading.
I had the standard ROM, rooted it and then installed the upgraded ROM from HTC (and haven't rooted it since..). I think the problem only started after that HTC-upgrade, but I'm not sure. It's possible that it's as you described that the lights keep flashing too when the notification isn't cleared, but I don't know. I always notice the notification not disappearing after I read an SMS. (So I don't check whether the trackball is flashing or not..) Anyway: I suppose there is no known solution then.. That's a pitty.. Najah, just thought I'd better ask it here first before giving up..
Thx anyway
I have this problem too on my htc desire z.
I have to delete the sms group to make that notification disappeared. Bad one!
Does anyone know why froyo has this bug?
Been using the clocksync app from market. Using it to auto correct the time drift issue I keep experiencing.
Every time you hit the windows button and open that menu bar, the clock is fine. As soon as you close it your clock stops 'ticking' until the menu is closed usually causing up to 3 seconds of time drift, over the course of a day my time usually half an hour out at least.
Download the app and try opening and closing the menu and test it for yourself
Why does this happen? I'm happy using this app to resync time every few hours if I have to, just reporting this bug like a good tester xD
Edit: I can confirm that most interaction with the ui pauses the clock. For example, closing a menu or sliding down the notification bar.

this was already known if you read the frx04 thread then you would know that everyone suggests you use clocksync because the clock is still bugged..

Actually, this is the first time I've seen someone suggest that they've found a concrete way of reproducing the problem.
However, this is certainly not the only source of clock drift, since I get clock drift when my phone is just sitting there doing nothing. Nonetheless, the fact that it's reproducible will hopefully be helpful to some dev in running down the problem.
the clock is always off, when its sleeping or idle even when you are using it the clock is ALWAYS off a couple ms and those ms increase every second. so bassicly after 15min in life the clock on your phone thinks it have only been 14 mins.
Use clock sync people! its free downloadable from the market and you can set it to auto set time every 30min, 1 hour, 2 hours etc. i prefer every 1 hour as that is very accurate
i did not read it good sorry*

I can confirm that menu open/close actions do cause clock drift. Not sure why ryannathan's menu takes so long to close. In my case, my menu closes a lot faster and the system clock loses only a few hundredths of a second each time (not a fixed amount, it is variable).
It's especially obvious when you are within ClockSync as the "offset" number increases in magnitude rapidly when you hit the menu button over and over again to repeatedly open/close it.
Edit: Looks like it doesn't help that we don't seem to have access to an RTC. I was curious to see how well the hardware clock was keeping in sync as compared to our system clock, but hwclock can't find an RTC to access.
Is there currently anyone working on this issue?

i guess not, as most important things are worked on now like battery life, wake up, sleep and a stable running system.

I think it's unreasonable to expect work to "kick off" in less than a day. It is probably bumped up in priority thanks to a reproducible scenario, however, it's a pretty deep-down bug so the people most likely to have the skills to work it are the ones working on power management right now.
(e.g. I have barely any clue where to even start with something like this, so I'll be sticking with my GPS work for now.)
Updated first post to include information about most interections with ui. Check the edit.
Can someone confirm this?
My Thunderbolt is rooted, and I have tried several different ROMs (some AOSP even) and different kernels, and still I get this strange problem... I use WidgetLocker and fairly often when I go to unlock my phone, the touch screen doesn't work. I have to turn the screen on and off several times and sometimes that works, but it may take up to several minutes for it to finally register my touch. I even sometimes have to pull the battery because after ten minutes, nothing is responding. At first, I thought it the ROM/kernel - I used BAMF in the beginning and that is when I noticed it. Then I switched to ShiftSense, and I barely noticed the touch screen ever failing on me, but the lack of GPS locking and accuracy made me switch to NonSense, which I enjoy but again the touch screen not working at the WidgetLocker lock screen comes up again. My other theory was maybe the HTC Ring Lock Screen gets in the way, so I downloaded NoLock and disabled it, but that didn't work. Then I tried use the WL HomeHelper, but that didn't work... I tried different settings, but no avail. I really enjoy WidgetLocker and I want to try to keep it, but I am not sure what other things I should try to fix this problem. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks guys!
widget locker did that to me several times so I gave up on it. Its definitely a problem with widget locker and not your phone or ROM. It freezes. I even set it to unlock with long press of back button and that would freeze as well.
my phone does the same thing, i think its a problem with our phone and gingerbread. it happens less with froyo. I believe its a radio issue.

I have used widget locker on over 10 different android devices I've own. I've never had a freeze issue with it. Reason I've had freeze issue starting with low RAM device. Then voltage to low or cpu frequency to low.
Is there a good alternative with Widget Locker? I just love the use of my own custom slider/widgets/custom background... Does any other app do that? I sort of want to try another app and test to see if it is in fact my phone/RAM/ROM/whatever or Widget Locker.

take off or freeze widget locker for a few days and see how your phone does. If it doesn't freeze, then you know its the app.
As for the guy that has used widget locker on 10 devices without problems, I call BS, I tried it on stock, and several customs and always had problems.
I sort of like the features of WidgetLocker than my default lock screen doesn't have and the look of it, so if I turn it off, I sort of want to try to find a replacement app in the meantime.
I just wanted to chime in and say I have this issue with my Thunderbolt and Widgetlocker as well. I've found that it usually freezes if I let my screen turn off by timing out. I'll turn it back on and the screen doesn't respond at all. I've found that if I let my screen timeout again while on the Widgetlocker screen, my touch screen will be responsive the next time I turn it on again.

Same problem here, I stopped using widget locker and just use the sense 3 lockscreen now.
I just wanted to put in my two cents - I was have the same problems with WidgetLocker on BAMF Forever (1.0.7 & 1.0.9). I found another thread on here (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1151269) that someone with a BAMF Sense 3 ROM and a custom kernel was having the same issue. Someone else suggested upping the voltage on the kernel to 368 or changing the kernel. It didn't work for him, but it did for me. I'm not using a custom kernel, but there is an option to change that in BAMF Settings. I've been running it at 368 for several days now and I only had one lockup (but that was shortly after bootup and the phone was probably busy doing other things in the background). HTH
Hey, I was just wondering if anyone else is experiencing this?
Well pretty much, I've noticed that the time / clock within the status bar will start to lag behind the actual time of the device. This is more apparent when I'll turn on the screen, and view the lockscreen - the lockscreen clock will display a time that's "Correct" where as the status bar will display something that lags behind. This can range from a few minutes, to hours, in some cases.
For now, I've remedied this by changing the time settings from 12H to 24H and just leaving it there, and when it happens again, 24H to 12H...
Black XS
Unlocked Bootloader
Rooted
Rom: MooDeD ICS 90.6
Kernel: XSX 3.5
I'm not sure if it would be related to the kernel, but I suppose it might be worth taking a look into?
Attached, is a screenshot showcasing what I've just typed up.
Thanks for taking the time to read.
its a issue you can fix it with this tutorial! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jDtnkc63RP0
Managed to isolate the problem to being most likely my carrier having a screwed up network time.
Remedy is to use "Built in clock".
Mod's can close this, thanks.
Since updating to Oreo, every so often (maybe once and hour) a notification sound goes off for apparently no reason. I have notification reminders off so it's not that. I've turned off most notifications as well, except for important ones like sms or email. It's annoying and if sounds are off and vibrate turned on it will vibrate instead but still nothing on the status bar. Does anyone know what's going on and/or how I can solve this annoyance?
Yes Im experiencing this as well. It seems like it may be related to gmail but I'm not sure. The new notification settings are confusing and don't seem to work at least for that app.
I may have found the reason. The new power saving "feature" may be the culprit. It seems to sound an alert every time it sleeps an app not whitelisted. Probably one of the stupidest pieces of coding ever. I caught a notification in the bar of like an ekg line when it happened. But get this it immediately disappears. So if you dont catch it you have now idea why you're being alerted. Go in to maintenance and switch all off or whatever you think is appropriate and it should stop. However the random vibration alerts I can't figure out. Ill get them for apps I dont have them set for but sporadically like instagram. And then on next sms which I have it specifically set notvto vibrate. Hope this helps.

I think I may have a clue: I have a Gear Fit. My Note 8 vibrates when it sends an alert to my Gear Fit.
In my case, because I can hardly notice the notification vibration on my Gear Fit, but hear it clearly when my Note 8 is resting on a hard surface, it took me a while to make the connection.
Now to find a way to disable this behavior....

theres an app called "notification history" that will track it for you. Might be the charger full indication.
Check my previous threads.
