Hi People
I need to return my HTC Touch Pro back for hardware repairs and would like to restore the bootloader. I can then reflash the stock rom and return my phone.
If you can point me in the right direction to download the bootloader that would be great. Sorry if this is a dupilcate thread, the closest I have found was for the kaiser.
Thanks again.

Hi there, Forgive me if there is a thread already for this. But I have a T-Mobile UK Motorola Atrix and i want to reinstall the firmware that came with the phone. I was unable to do a backup of the stock rom and Currently have a Stock French rom on the device. Is there a way to put the original rom on it and lock the bootloader?
Thanks Adam
Ill second this request too.

This is SBF file which will get your mobile to stock and also will lock your bootloader (it's not going to be locked again but it will remove "unlocked" from top left corner).
In order to use sbf files you need to download RDS lite and have moto drivers installed. (If you are already unlocked then you will have all this tools)
This is link to original thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1125944
REMEMBER this is an SBF file and it's not the safest way to go back to stock (but the best) and can brick your mobile if your pc is going to stop working/freeze/resboot while applying sbf...
Hope this help
P.S I did go back to stock this way and gave my phone for warranty without any problems.
I have a nandroid backup of my setup (2.2) would you like me to upload it?

This will only get you back to stock but you still will have "unlocked" on the top left corner. Just FYI
Thankyou
Thankyou for all your help I have the T-Mobile stock rom back on it now. I had to do a hard reset to make it work though. Just a note to anyone thinking of doing this. Does anyone know how to make the Atrix boot faster? It takes ages on the t-mobile screen. I have rooted it and was thinking of Freezing some parts of the OS but im a bit worried incase it messes up

i wouldnt bother, youd see a much bigger difference if you were using cm7 over one of the bloated moto roms boots super fast after first boot

I really need the t-mobile uk sbf. How can I get it from you Ashley, can you upload it somewhere? thanks
did you ever upload the stock sbf file in the end because im looking for it aswell and all the links i find are dead :-s
Any help would be great
Hi, Can someone please re-upload the SBF from the start of this thread, I need to remove the unlocked and back to stock.
Thanks
I'll try and do it later this evening, check Sam Cripps Atrix Reboot Project thread at the top of this section, that's where I'll put it.
Done, it`s here http://samcripp.com/files/. I haven`t ever flashed this myself, but it`s straight from moto thro their updater SW so should be intact. I`m sure you`re aware there may be risks involved flashing an SBF, that said, enjoy!
Thanks.

I have a quick question. Right now I am running the latest version of wookie rom. If I wanted to go back to Asus stock rom could I? Could I download the image from Asus website and use twrp to flash? I thought I read somewhere that I could brick my prime if I do that. If I can brick it, is their a safe way to go back to stock?
Thanks
Well if you are running a rom, i'm going to assume your unlocked.
If you unlocked then i suggest you get your NVflash backup files. Because as far as i know, that will make you unbrickable even from bootloader flashes.
As far as how to flash back i'm not sure, but I know there is a tutorial somewhere on XDA.

This will result in an unrecoverable brick. Try downloading the stock for unlocked, located in this forum.

1) this is not a development topic and should not have been posted in the development section, this should have been posted in general, or q&a.
2) follow the thread on getting nvflash access, that way you are protected from bricking once it is done, it requires being done first, so do that now. you cannot get nvflash access from an already bricked unit.
3) as long as you have the above you should be fine to attempt flashing a stock asus update. The problem with stock asus updates is still rather unknown, some units will flash it fine, others will brick, we have some theories, but nothing solid until we can get someone with nvflash access to get into this situation.

You can't. ASUS told me to send it to them to revert. I suspect the bootloader would still be JB so you would still be screwed.

You would have to ask them if it would still be JB bootloader if you sent it in. Nobody on here has posted a way to do it and believe you me, I have been wanting the same.
If you are worried about Brick-Proofing, unless you are flashing often its not that big a deal so long as you follow the directions.
No matter what you do, to flash you have to unlock. Once unlocked there is NO WAY to re-lock. The device will ALWAYS say "unlocked" on boot up so a TWRP backup will serve the same purpose to get you back to a stock OS.
Just don't do anythig stupid, follow directions, don't flash a ROM with recovery on it and you should be safe.
Just wanted to know how to re-lock the bootloader to return to Verizon for warranty purposes.
I have the stock odin file but want to know would it relock the bootloader itself ? If not how do i do it ?

Just ODIN back to stock and your bootloader will be locked again.
I would check the flash counter also if I was taking it to Verizon. Good news triangle away supports our device now.
yeah I think imnuts had a thread in dev has a tar image that will restore to shipping software

i was wondering the same thing , but i thought you couldn't flash anything in odin once the bootloader was unlocked. Can anyone clarify this I need to do a warranty claim and I need to undo everything to avoid any hassle

Youre not supposed to odin anything EXCEPT imnutz odin file to get back to stock. With the bootloader unlock it will let you flash anything. So to be better safe than sorry and help prevent people from flashing what they should be not they said dont flash anything. That way they dont have dozens of people bricking their phones. Ive read in multiple threads and if you search adams thread youll find there is no problem with flashing back to stock with odin.

OP, did it work? Did you successfully return it? I need to do the same, but if reflashing the stock ROM and triangle-away'ing didn't work, please let me (and others from the future who want to do the same... hello people of the future!...) know what happened for you. Thanks.
I flashed mine back to stock and returned it. No charges yet depending how you rooted your device, your flash counter might be tripped. To check power off, hold up, power and home button. It should say something like:
Custom binary: no

This is exactly what I was wondering too. I can't believe I haven't found this thread before, shouldn't have started one myself, I guess. My assumption, based on what I've read is that you can still use the imnuts restore after 4.1.2, and that there's no real need to re-lock...but I'm still waiting on a confirmation of that.
Hello all,
I currently have a stock prime so far that I just started using again.
I am looking to unlock it and put on the 4.4.2 rom from j50036 called - CROMBi-kk
I am curious to know though if I can't get it working well since I will be using the keyboard a lot with it for school,
is there a way I can downgrade it and get back to a stock device?
I couldn't find anything in the guides so far other then the dos and donts that say not to flash the super blobs from asus.
How might I go back to flashing stock rom after I have rooted the phone if I need to?

Yes you can do just about anything once unlocked and you have made your nvflash backups....
The only thing you will not be able to do is relock you tablet....
There is a way this must be done and the info is out there but not in one nice place
If you would like help with this shoot me an email @ [email protected]
Thx Josh
Been looking through the stickies and a few searches. Can't really find much about how to do a backup through nvflash. I only see one thing about flashing unblobs or something called wheelie. Do you know where I can find out about the backup process?

I'm searching too for a method to leave my Transformer Prime TF201 as 'new' and factory default... what steps to follow? for example, how to make backup nvflash? and then, what?
Thanks in advance!
