Probably not since you will still need the drivers for your device and the drivers for the Apache are completely different.
Go to this site, which has development for Android on the Raphael (the latest if I am not mistaken).
Good luck!

Best performance rom with sprint pic mail?

I don't care what the ROM looks like as I'm going to get the PROBEX Windows 7 theme on it anyways, but I want the best performing rom that is released and I honestly have no idea about proper testing methods to go thru each and every one to find the one with best performance, and I imagine someone has already done this and would be able to come in here and tell me
Thanks guys.
If you have sprint you are in the wrong forum. Read links below.
? I thought the rom mattered on which type of phone you were using. and the HTC Touch Pro = Raphael?
I guess I needed to put this in the CDMA sub forum? Mod pls move this thread there for me then. Thanks.

Android port any chance any new info

Android port any chance any new info
might want to sticky an android topic, new fresh details as of 28th jan 2010
I´m a fully ignorant in programming but I have an idea on my mind, if the Nexus One have the same Snapdragon platform that Toshiba TG01, could be possible a port of Android 2.1 to the Toshiba TG01 and HTC HD2 also with Snapdragon?
I don´t know if it´s possible or not, but to me would be a dream have the power of Toshiba with Android ... and if it would have Sense UI would be perfect xDD
I saw someone said Android on TG01, don't know if this is true or not.

Oh, can't believe it
Yeah i think the dood who posted that over at gsmarena was just lying.
Out of my own interest I've tried a few builds of Android on the TG01 but havn't got anything to boot up fully yet - i havn't played with startup.txt files or anything yet - i might have another dabble at the weekend if i get abit of time.
I'm not a dev and have minimal knowledge of Linux so theres not too much i can do, but if we could at least get a build to boot and show the Home screen i think would be a great start to springboard development.
There's a lot of builds of Android for HTC devices flying around, it couldnt hurt to try them and see what happens - You cannot harm your device in any way doing this as it isn't flashed to ROM just copy the relevent files to the root of your SD card and then run HARET.EXE application.
I've noticed the boot text is really tiny so it's difficult to read any error messages and such.
If anyone has a go at testing any builds it might be worth posting here with the build and results of any testing.
Also this may well be just a complete waste of time - who knows!
Cheers
Paul

If I recall well some discussions in Android for Diamond threads, if you try to tweak the settings in Haret and give it bad values you can hurt your device or the memory card... So be carefull...
To people not confident in what they are doing : don't do it ! You have been warned

Thanks Howell, im sure people here would be more than aware of any possible risks as always with this sort of stuff but from my understanding this should be safe - the HARET application is simply a bootloader for the Linux kernel - it absolutely cannot write to your phone's system files - it can however write files to your SD but cannot damage it in any way - the generated files can simply be deleted.
There's actually no settings to tweak in HARET either - it simply looks for a startup.txt file, if theres none present you have the option to browse for one - theres nothing else to tweak. The startup.txt file contains the settings that Haret reads - if this isn't correct it simply crashes the device which then requires a soft reset if in fact it doesn't reboot itself.
If someone who actually knows from experience and not 'recalling from another thread' wants to verify any Harm that can be caused with HARET please let us know!
Thanks
Paul
They have port android on HD1. Like it's in WVGA, maybe some crazy guys want to try

Help: Touch Pro RAPH800

I just updated my husbands touch pro from the ROM version 1xxxx to the 2.01. I got that from the HTC site. I was wondering if there was another update that would allow it to have windows version 6.5?? I have the pro 2 and he very much likes the layout. I'm confused to reading this forum because I don't understand some of the technical words being used. IF someone could direct me or let me know, I would really appreciate it.
Thanks.

its very clear as the title.
do not worry about the tech-termz.
Otherwise, point out which terms are worrying you....

[Q] energy maxsense 29007?

hello all
ive looked at all the threads for this already, and have checked energyroms through and through and im stumped, i have the sprint cdma touch pro (raph800) and cannot for the life of me find a copy of energyrom maxsense 29007 for the cdma touch pro. im currently running the 23xxx build and would love to update, and i see that the gsm version (raphael) has the 29007 build but we dont. anyone care to answer? is there a way to hack up the raphael build for my cdma device without bricking the radio? (im sure there is im just not sure where to start) if i figure this out ill be sure to pass the good news along.
Don't suppose you've checked the other site where NRG posts his ROMs for CDMA?
PPCGEEKS (I think)
Though it is possible that NRG has taken them down for an update?
ive used that rom on my sprint tp without problem. didnt get it from here though, ill post a link in a sec to the forum in which i got it. you wont brick it, just have task29 and the latest radio handy if anything goes wrong.
The rom is here: http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/cdma-tp-d...nergy-6-5-21916-6-5-x-29007-sense-2019-a.html
look at the second post
Ive tried all these roms on my sprint tp and they work great. Be sure to task29! Otherwise you may end up with issues. Im currently using the Dinik Glass, and tethering on my TP to post this as we speak.
These are for the CDMA HTC Touch Pro
hey thanks for the links, i still cant find anything for maxsense, lol when i go to the hotfile link nrg provides all i find is the other variants, but no maxsense. i think im going to download the raph maxsense version and see if i can poke around, hopefully something i can figure out will help me port this to the cdma side
Additionally, if you don't mind a CAB, look HERE for the post attachment!
thanks r 7z ive been looking for something like that, ill give it a try

[Q] WebOS on a Hero... Is it possible???

I didn't find anything similar on these forums, so I decided to start new thread...
Here's an idea...
So, my question is to all developers that are still interested in the old Hero -
IS IT POSSIBLE TO COOK SOME WEBOS BUILD FOR THE HERO?
Since the WebOS is now opensourced, I guess we all can find some workarounds to make this happen...
By the way, I LOVE the interface and the way WebOS works... Don't you?
...
Actually, I need 10 posts too... But also wanted to hear some opinions on this...
Anybody??? No one?? ...
I don't think so, cause Hero does not have unlocked bootloader like HD2, and WebOS is working on else architecture, that there aren't drivers and kernel for hero.
We can unlock the bootloader, there was a topic about it in the development section not too long ago. The main problem i think is that we don't have that many devs any more :/

I was about to propose that we discuss it together so we could both get 10 posts, but I*can see you already got them. Lucky you
I heard that some devs from here working on it...
