i have a Old gene on which i had upgraded the rom to windows 6.5 using Olipro.
Now i had given the phone to my brother he again tried to upgrade! But the phone is stuck at the tricolour screen showing;-
ONBL (blank)
SPL 1.28.0000
Dont Power off!

Hi,
i have a friends I-Mate JAMin (or HTC Prophet)
its a G4, now...it was running WM5, so i put HardSPL on it, went to flash a WM6.1 rom and now all it does is sit at the tri coloured screen, it seems like the HardSPL has done nothing, because the SPL is still the old numbers (the originals, it hasnt changed to 2.G4.4PDA, or whatever its suppose to show)....
I need help ASAP, i cant go back to my friend and tell him his phone is stuffed..

yep, tried that.
i actually cannot boot into a OS on the phone,
when it turns on it goes straight to the Tri-Coloured screen, i need some desperate help with this,
i have put HardSPL on there but the SPL version on the tri-coloured screen numbers have not updated to a new version,
i installed an update to the IPL version, so that has gone up to 2.20 or something like that.
the SPL number is currently 2.13.0001
i cannot get past the tri-coloured screen.

If your scree show RUU and you see USB in the left corner when connecting USB - then dont worry.
Just fksh it with a NVID wm5 Prophet ROM that is available in this forum and tou will have your device back.. you can then try to upgrade it to WM6 etc

GOD what shud i do
Before flashing the cooked ROM, remove the SD Card. I guess error 300 is (connection error)? I had this freak problem, my Gene would sit at the boot loader for ever when SD Card was inserted. Do revert back if your problem is solved .

I ran hspl.exe. It's didn't restart but went off. I press soft reset now only bootloader is showing with ONBL 1.10.0000 and SPL 1.10.Olip. there is also RUU at the top right corner. What can I do now to flash another rom or get back my gene?

First try to remove the battery and then put it back in and try to switch it on see if it boots into the windows...if not then follow the step given below...
Download any custom rom for OLD gene and run the rom update utility (RUU) it will be back to normal...
Note : Most importantly don't panic ...even if the phone is taking its usual time to boot up it may seem longer cos we are worried....have patience...

is it (ht8xxx) or (ht7xxx) ?

Its normal thing that ur device got off after hspl.exe
it seems like u hv new gene....so now u should use Oref unbricker...
u just followed step 1....
so u should move on to step 2
which is unbricking gene by oref method

Then i update my WM6 Rom to Sumit's Pro User ROM ( WM 6.1 for both Old and New Gene).
It worked fine.
The by mistake I click the file gene_hspl.exe ( The file using for Updating SPL for Old gene).
immediatly My phone got off.
i tried a lot to switch on it .
then I push cam key with soft reset key, then my phone on in boot loader mode with SPL 1.10.olip
and

Now i am Not able to update to my SPL again.
and Phone is not working, What should i do now..?
Should i Update SPL again or anything else.
I tried to update Newer ROM ,But message come with Error(300) Please get newer Update Utility for ur phone.

ur device is still under warranty period??
Try to unbrick again from orefkov method if it works GREAT! otherwise take ur device to service center and dont tell him about cracking and just tell him that it automatically switched off...
dont try anything without suggestions of other GENE forum members..just ask them too what to do..?
If you are getting to Bootloader with olip spl. orefkov method should work. BTW, How did your Gene work with both Old and New Gene ROMs???
AND WHY DO YOU NEED TO POST THE SAME QUERY WITHIN FOUR MINITUES?
