Does anyone know how to unbrick a HERM200 (TyTN) device?
After installing some programs i wanted to install Resco Explorer and then suddenly my device disconnected from my laptop i thought no big deal but the whole touchscreen is numb also none of the buttons on the TyTN are working. When i reboot the device i get the PIN screen i can enter the code also but is stays there and sometimes it skip's the PIN screen and goes directly to the Today screen but still the touchscreen and buttons are numb no response at all.
I can get in to boatloader by pressing left OK + power + reset.
But if i want to "re-flash" my device i goes into a reboot a the time de program is verifing my PDA.
Does anyone know what to do here?
OS = Black 2.5
Radio = 1.41.00.10
SPL = HardSPLv6 1.40 Olipro
Recently installed programs at the time of bricking the device are:
VITO Remote 4.1
VITO SoundExplorer
VITO Oscilloscope
then tried to install Resco Explorer 2005 and that was were the **** has hit the fan.
I would try a hard reset. If that doesn't help there is a sticky thread at the top of this section that is all about bricked devices (yours isn't really bricked, you are just having issues) that you can read through. Since you just installed Black 2.5 that thread would be the best place to discuss your issue.

Hard reset: Press and hold the Left SOFT KEY and Right SOFT KEY, and at the same time, use the stylus to press the RESET button at the bottom of your device. You will be presented with a menu saying 'press R to reset, X to exit', if you press R Your device will be set back to factory default settings.
(The L/R soft keys are the "--" keys just up the start and OK buttons)
Now hope it works for me.

I flashed wizard from t-mobile with latest htc wizard rom wm6.
I dind get the message , that the phone was flashed for 35 min. Then i sisconnected USB cable and reconnect again and get message : flashed etc.
Then i made:
* 1 - Holding "Voice Dial" + "Wireless Manager" while short pressing the "reset" button
* 2 - Hold the 2 buttons until you see the screen telling you to press send button to hard reset.
* 3 - Press "send/dial" button to hard reset
Everithing goes well and then the phone started, i see t-mobile screen wuth ipl/spl, gsm and OS information.
ipl/2.21.0001
OS 10.4.0.811
and here i hung. This screen wont dissaper and wont load OS.

I had wm6 on it, prophet touch 4.0.0.6 and i tried now to install IX version, and after first install i made reboot and doesn't start anymore (. It's stucked in HTC Prophet Touch from beginning, and is showing in left corner ILP SPL..etc...in bootloader i can't enter (doesn't appear anymore). what should I do? It's a G4
Did you TRY to enter bootloader yourself??? I haven't quite understood your post. In case you didn't:
Press Camera + Soft Reset, then release soft reset and keep pressing camera button till bootloader appears.

solved. it was from my SD card. i've get it off and now is working: entering bootloader, installing ROM. thx anyway.

I'm a hp rw6828 user and is very much enthusiast to try out those wm6 roms made by those experts. However, i did a mistake while trying to flash.
I tried flashing with a rom from wantat but i forgotten to delete the EBOOT.nb0 before i clicked "upgrade". Then the program stopped at 6% for a long time and didnt move. I disconnect the cables and tried to turn the device on.
THe device can go into the wm6 and the start button can be use but the screen is "moved" to the right side and other function is not working.
After that, i did a hard reset and the the os seem to work like normal. However, when i tried to go into bootloader mode by pressing both "_" and soft reset. That didnt work. I tried another way by taking out the batt, leave it for a 10mins, press both "_" and soft reset, put in batt, release soft reset then "_" keys. That didn't work either.
But, just lately, i've tried taking out batt, holding the camera key and softreset, place back batt, release soft reset n camera button. This method works and i get what it seems to be an atom bootloader?
i get a black background with "MN1 Bootloader Mar 29 2006 13;52;14 copyright..... 1) debug module through UART 2) jump to DM Enter your selection.
Can someone help me? I'm not sure what i'm facing and what to do? All you help is much appreciated. THank you.

I only have a dumped version of RUU_Nike_Vodafone_ESN_1.31.164.09_Ship.exe , I'm not sure it will help you but at least you can give it a try, you can download the rom HERE

You better started HERE instead of using MTTY, it's harder to recover than to brick, most of the time people brick their device by using the command task 2a.
For now there are 2 options.
1. Perform a hardreset :
To perform a hard reset on a device that is not responding to input or not booting to Windows, first remove the back cover of the device. Hold the "call" and "end call" keys on the front of the device and reset the device by sticking the stylus into the small hole to the left side of the USB port. The device will ask for confirmation. To confirm, press the "Enter" key on the keypad. On some devices you need to press the "Action" key instead of "Enter".
The device will reboot and be reset to factory settings.
2. Try Frankenkaiser, see this post.

The problem is the commands are only for kaiser bootloader
and i am trying to get my phone in "dload" mode like here http://forum.xda-developers.com/archive/index.php/t-394584.html
but in MTTY doesn't accep command "setboot 1"
to write the security unlock commands
it my bee a chance with this "FrankenKaiser"

this is why i formatted my device

I think the biggest problem is that your device wasn't unlocked before you bricked it, can you tell me what your device is doing now are is it complete dead.

2.boot loader mode - pressing camera button + pwr button, no problem here.
3.hard reset - pressing send(green) button + end(red) button + pwr button
(no problem)it enter ok (this operation will delete.....)
butt after i press action key (not enter) "restore complete press

Ok, your phone is doing more than mine, I also had a white screen and try to flash the original rom, that didn't work so I tried the wwe 2.16 version and it started flashing but stops at 69%, now I have an Upgrade ROM code error in my bootloader, the biggest problem with your phone is that you don't have an hardspl, now I'm reading this post.
I'll keep you informed when I found something.
