Us cellular touch pro 2 and flash player!????? - Touch Pro CDMA

Ok i got my touch pro 2 from us cellular today and i have a couple of questions maybe someone could answer first does this version come with the equipment to do fm radio? Is there a flash player avilable i want to play the flash games on facebook and use flash on other web sites?Do i need to install opera or skyfire to do this? WHICH BROWSER IS BETTER? Thanks in advance!!!!!

Best bet for the CDMA Touch Pro 2 would be over at PPCGeeks. Speaking of which, check THIS THREAD out for info concerning custom ROMs already being built from the stock 6.5 it comes with.

why would you post this question in the Touch Pro forum? Maybe you should try the Rhodium forum....

Lot of people don't realise there is a separate forum for it. I know I didn't for a while...

thanks i will try the other place and idk but the pictures make it confusing the pic looks nothing like my phone but again thank you for responding

please explain touch pro & Fuze

Hi,
I'm in Aus and has touch pro (Three Australia) upgraded to Cooked ROM (DNS v15 or something like that) a couple months back and since i haven't visited this site... and now i'm thinking of upgrading (just checking if it's worth doing it) and all i see is FUZE FuZE fUzE everywhere....
I have been researching and it seem they're the same but ATT in USA called it Fuze... am i correct? what is the different? If i upgrade the ROM to fuze will my network still working oketc? what is the benefit and disadvantage of upgrading?
Much appreciated guys!
The Fuze doesn't have the front camera and it works with the US 3G bands.
"The invention of the flame-thrower suggest that someone thought, "you know, I'd really like to set that stuff on fire over there, but I just can't be bothered to walk.""
Hahahahaha So true...

This has been covered many times before and a simple search would have answered your question. The fuze is the alias given by AT&T for the 3G (GSM) touch pro. You CAN flash a fuze rom on a TP as long as it is GSM not CDMA and all you will need is a keyboard fix to revert the keyboard to the TP keyboard. The benefits of upgrading differ from rom to rom. I personally use the PROven ROM which is unprotected so you can recook the rom but have used the NATF ROM and they both work great. The Da_G ROM is great if you are looking for a clean rom.

Just as a caution I suggest you read the rom specs prior to loading. Some of the US "Fuze" Roms do not do Video calling. Not really a big thing in the USA. So strongly suggest you do some research and ensure what you download has the functionality that you require. Da_G's Roms seem to have video dialing if you require it and I'm sure some of the others do too. If you like what you get a donation to the chef always goes a long way.
Hi,
I did a 15 minutes searched based on google and xda forum and only 'some' of the post that make sense. anyhow thank you for explaining. I hardly ever use the video call. Normal phone call and VOIP and GPS is probably the most thing i use in the phone
thanks again everyone for the replied, have a great x'mas and new year

Recommended ROM For Sprint's Touch Pro (CDMA)?

Hi All,
before you jump on the bandwagon asking me to read the wiki or searhc, i already did that. However, all the results I got are specific to "Raphael" and not necessarily the Sprint CDMA version.
The stock ROM that comes with the Sprint Touch Pro really really really sucks. I even truend off / killed TouchFlo 3d and still have all kinds of problems.
I'd like a leaner quicker / more efficient rom, so the question is twfold
1.) How exactly do I go about unlocking the SPL to allow 3rd party ROMs?
2.) Which ROM would be recommended?
Thanx beforehand!
You might do better if you posted this in the forum specifically for CDMA version of the Raphael.
Its literally the sub forum above this one.
shassouneh,
I think CDMA TP have a different way of doing it...
Notice that all the ROM's in this particular forum are for GSM phones...
crazyC is right... post this thread in de CDMA one...
Mods: you should move this thread...
Thanx
THanx for the replies guys. Much appreciated. I actually considered posting it there but figured this is a ROM-related question so should be posted here. Since I am asking for a recommendation on which CDMA-compatible ROM / flashing method to use, I think it makes sense to keep it here just as much as it does to move it to the CDMA section.
Thoughts?
I could still use advise on my original ask.
I still think you are in the wrong forum.
A quick glance through the CDMA forum suggests that:
1. HARDspl is different for your phone to the GSM one, and that there are device specific variants, where as GSM phones just have the one. PPCGeeks maybe the best place for CDMA phones.
2. using a GSM rom will break your phone, and so you should be looking at the ROMS posted in the CDMA forum here or at PPCGeeks, both for the roms and for advice about them.
3. Posting here you risk getting advice from people who do not understand the differences bewteen the cdma and GSM phones (I am not clear about it - why would I be - we don't have CDMA phones over here).
4. Most people reading this particular forum will have GSM phones and have little knowledge to answer your question with. For a higher chance of getting your thread read by people who might have a good answer, I still think the other forum would be better.
But hey, this is a free world and this is just my advice.
Also, questions about which is the best rom are not usually treated very politely around here - once you have hardspl'd your phone, it is a case of read the thread with the ROMS in, pick one that gets good feedback and then try it. And another till you can settle on one. Everyone has different tastes and requirements. Of course, the next step is to start cooking - it gets very addictive. Then you get grief from your girlfriend/wife, then the arguments start about so much time on the computer......

You bet!!!!!
Mod's move to CDMA...This is probably a good point for folks to see over on that thread, as more and more of us over here in the good old NA start catching on that HTC has the goods!

Yeah, I know it can be a bit confusing, we don't have a ROM thread directly under the CDMA tab. Most GSM folks live here at XDA; I know I know it's not all GSM, but ROM development is really heavy for GSM users.

Totally agree, it's garbage. After flashing even KK's loaded ROM which has 100's more applications, TF3D is even more snappy than the stock Sprint.

Mighty Mike's Lean version is very nice, but it's really personal choice. There are too many to really Tell someone what to use. Install that one, play with it for a week, then install KK's, then play with that for a week, then install xWeapons, etc.
Now go to the CDMA world of ROM's:

No problem,
and yes, as other's have posted DO NOT instlal any of the GSM stuff, you will screw up your phone something fierce.
You can also update your Radio to 1.11.00F and get better batery life, it got rid of the overheat issue for me when WIFIing, and just better recieption, IMHO.
http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=46616
Two ways to update:
You can update via the EXE's that come pre-packaged with damn near all the ROM's
or
You can rename the nbh file to RAPHIMG.nbh, copy that to the root of your SD card and bootload from there.
HOLD ALL 3
Volume Down
Power Button
Stylus Reset
Boot loader will pop up, then follow on-screen instructions.
Works for radio too.
Make sure you unlock 1st though!!
Enjoy.
Oops, almost forgot, this is an excellent resource:

Hi Chaz,
Were you able to connect EvDO after updating the ROM? My TP is only connecting 1x >: GRR

Best performance rom with sprint pic mail?

I don't care what the ROM looks like as I'm going to get the PROBEX Windows 7 theme on it anyways, but I want the best performing rom that is released and I honestly have no idea about proper testing methods to go thru each and every one to find the one with best performance, and I imagine someone has already done this and would be able to come in here and tell me
Thanks guys.
If you have sprint you are in the wrong forum. Read links below.
? I thought the rom mattered on which type of phone you were using. and the HTC Touch Pro = Raphael?
I guess I needed to put this in the CDMA sub forum? Mod pls move this thread there for me then. Thanks.

android for touch pro

so i know that u can have a running android on ur touch pro but the cdma didnt work but look i found this at ppcgeeks http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=43753 u think that maybe it works for the tp? if not is there a working android ver here? iv been looking here and ppcgeeks, google, bing and not much luck....can anyone show me that way please? to a working cdma android if its out there thanks!
Probably not since you will still need the drivers for your device and the drivers for the Apache are completely different.
Go to this site, which has development for Android on the Raphael (the latest if I am not mistaken).
Good luck!
thanks alot for pointing me the right way.....im kinda new here so im sill tryin to feel my way around....sorry if this is a question that been asked 1000 time like a ppcgeeks

Help: Touch Pro RAPH800

I just updated my husbands touch pro from the ROM version 1xxxx to the 2.01. I got that from the HTC site. I was wondering if there was another update that would allow it to have windows version 6.5?? I have the pro 2 and he very much likes the layout. I'm confused to reading this forum because I don't understand some of the technical words being used. IF someone could direct me or let me know, I would really appreciate it.
Thanks.

its very clear as the title.
do not worry about the tech-termz.
Otherwise, point out which terms are worrying you....
