Benocharm showed off a test build of Froyo running on the Hero. Real ROMs can't be far away - patience, young padawan

the nexus builds wont run on Hero, different dpi's, xml's and graphics wont load at all, u will end up in a constant FC and bootloop.

Why sense ui would note be possible with jit? Htc have planned update to froyo for many devices... and sense is just another java package... no?

Well the first set of roms will just be a clean build of 2.2 any ways no need for sence it just tends to make the roms slower and bigger in size

I've been seeing it referred to as both 2.3 and 3.0 on other tech sites, for the most part I am seeing Gingerbread referred to as 2.3 and Honeycomb as 3.0. Either way it doesn't matter. Who cares what number it's assigned, it doesn't change the fact that Tenzo is right about not being able to port something that hasn't been released.
Now if we can just get ahold of a leak for the N1.... Then maybe you guys can start porting it! Anyone know someone that works for Google? LOL

I guess this ROM is simply about minor bug fixes. Maybe Major , too
But a jump from 1.x to 3.x is normally a BIG update (with new sense & android version).
Installed, don't see anything different with the old one

No I Can NOT!!!! But I can make it smaller....
Ok guys I have just installed this and its definitely faster and smoother. I am still playing around with it can't say anything about how good is the battery drain until I have used it for at least a day. Hope this helps. All the best.

What i think is KitKat was designed for low RAM requiring phones right? Its on their official site that it requires less RAM now so maybe that's why we are getting it. Just an approach
These are all rumors,there is no official statement from HTC. We can hope that we will get it,it would be nice. But don't get to hasty.

Yeah,the sources are out. And i read on Google+ that CM team is already working on it.
Plus nexus 4 and 7 already got 4.4 build from source and PA 4.4.
They have some great devs,well i can't expect any less from flagship devices.

HTC said to me on their fb page that their priorities to get updates first is the HTC one family they're thinking about HTC desire X but now there's no official announcement

All custom Roms available for DX are deodexed, only stock Rom is odexed.

Can you explain how? I mean i heard for the language change and the .SO file but it doesn't seem to work for me or im doing something wrong :\ .
