From time to time I disconnect a call by accidentally pressing with my cheeck End Call button on the screen.
Any suggestions? Thanks.
Yup
Cellotape a 10cm pencil perpendicular to the bottom of your phone.
That way if it gets too close you'll feel it before you hang up.
yeah, don't hold it to your cheek. Hold it a few mm away from it. The mic isn't that bad you really need do speak in to it...
The screen switches off after a few seconds onto the call. Just wait a little till you hug your phone

I've recently purchased this great device from ebay and found out that the screen is a bit loose on the top. it's only something about 0.5mm and doesn't bother me at all. but the problem is that the volume control external button doesn't sit perfectly on the internal buttons so sometimes you press and they don't work.
I've notified ebay seller and he told me that's a known problem and that he could fix it for me. I just wonder if it's a small fix maybe I can do it on my own and save everyone the hassle of sending it back and fourth.
picture attached.
Mine does the same thing but it affects my proximity sensor. I have to push on the right upper corner when I want to hang up during a call, otherwise, phone thinks my ear is still up against the phone.

haven't tried that yet, so I can't tell if it's a problem.
I've had the same issue, both with the proximity sensor and the volume rocker. For me the top of the rocker is very loose and has to be pressed hard to get it to recognize. The proximity sensor, I found out, has a little cutout adhesive that is supposed to go between the sensor and the digitizer/lcd assembly.
Sometimes this gets shifted (for instance, when someone breaks their screen and decides it's a smart idea to replace it on their own like I did...) and you have to take care to place it back where you found it or you end up having to press the right corner of the screen to end your phone calls.
If anyone figures out how to repair the issue with the volume rocker, hit me up. I'm already knee deep in this thing, I might as well learn something new while I'm at it.
I think this might be a software issue...but wanted another opinion.
sometimes when I hit the power button to turn the screen off, it turns off and then comes back on. It doesn't happen ask the time so I can't figure out if it is me or something causing the phone to wake back up.

It could be a short in the power button. Mine does this occasionally, just make sure you push the button down firmly and quickly.
This happens on my 3D, as well. It also happens on my Shift 4G. I can't recall if it happened on my Evo 4G. It happens a lot more often on the 3D, than with any other phone.
It happens to me about three or four times a day.
Happens to me occasionally and it also happened on my last phone. Nit biggie

I blame my thumb touching the volume keys - the latter can switch on my phone as well.
Having the phone in my hands, fingers left and thumb right aligned, and pressing down the power button with the index key forces the thumb (or lower base of it) to excert a force on the frame... oops, the volume keys are just placed there... Might be attributed to my big hands, though ;-)
It get's worse when I have a skin around it...
Cheers
Christoph
Mine does this as well, annoying.
locked & loaded
Mine does it the other way around, when i press power to turn the screen on, it comes on and goes off before I can get to slide to unlock the screen.
It's not a software issue, it's a hardware one. It's the power button, it gets mushy. Take the cover off and thoroughly clean it, it should click just once when you press it after that. if not, well, you're out of luck
I bought my Prime a week ago and the only problem I've had with it was that it kept locking up and rebooting. No screen problems at all.
Just now I placed it on my bed and it slid off and fell on the ground which is about a 2 - 2.5 foot drop. After that, it seems like my screen is broken. When I press the power button, nothing happens. If I press where I think my screen lock is at and try to unlock it, I hear the unlocking sound. I also hear a sound when I click where my notification tray is at. Even rebooting(by holding the power button and guessing where the "Ok" button is at) doesn't do anything, I don't even see the boot images.
So it seems like my screen is broken. My question is has this happened to anyone else? Where you able to fix it or did you have to send it in? If you sent it in, did you send it to Asus or return it to where you bought it from?
Try hard reset using the hole on the left of the tablet.
It's on page 3 of the manual.
So just recently, I noticed that whenever a call ends, the screen remains black and the proximity sensor is still on (red). I've tried pressing the unlock/lock button, but nothing happens. I know the call has ended because I hear the 'ring' that it makes. I've tried it with and without "The power key ends calls", no difference. I have not flashed anything different recently. The only solution I found was to hold down the power button until it restarts, but when someone calls, I have to repeat the process all over again. It was never like this until today. Does anyone know of a solution?
I'm currently on UnNamed 1.3.2 with Entropy's 1/2/12 DD
I'm currently having the same problem with the stock (rooted) ROM... Occasionally after a call, the next time I try to activate the screen, it just stays blank. Sometimes after a call, it's similar to what you described with the end button call staying red and the screen frozen. I have to hold down the on button for 5-10 seconds to reboot the phone. This phenomenon just started about a week ago. The phone has been working flawlessly until then.
I thought that maybe it's some app update gone astray.

I forgot to mention that I found the culprit, it was my screen protector. I had ordered one of SGP's screen protectors since a lot of people were saying it was good, but when it finally arrived, I noticed that it was very sticky and had covered over the proximity sensor. Over the coming days, the screen protector attracted dust due to it's stickiness when I put it in my pocket. You can probably guess what happened, dust was covered over the area of the proximity sensor, causing it to malfunction like that, but after I took it off, all was well, and now I'm rocking my phone half naked - case but no screen protector. I think I'll leave it like that from now on, gorilla glass feels and looks awesome
so the last few phones calls ive had with this phone, laying down, holding from ear, bringing the phone in front of me, the screen wont stay awake for me to press end call. i try to shake it to rustle the jimmies but i cant press the end call button. the screen will pop on for a micro second, then go black, constantly.
i calibrated my gsensor, and ive turned off auto rotate.
any ideas?
