For whatever reason, my plantronics voyager pro disconnects while i'm in the middle of a phone call. it doesn't happen all the time, just randomly. As soon as I notice that it's no longer working, i look at my phone and it still has the headset icon active. I hear the disconnect beep in my headset, and when i try to turn hands free off, it won't turn off
I end up having to hang up, and call back the person. Not very professional when doing business, i'm considering going back to my old voyager headset. Any feedback or possible fixes?

The suggestion what i give is bit irritating but wll be better than now, Never connect your bluetooth automatically, Once u disconnect and reconnect your BT just remove them from your pairing device and re-pair. Now u wont get Disconnected wth ur BT but if u connect ur BT automatically then the problem continues

Hi, who has problems with his Bluetooth headset after the WM6 upgrade?
My Bluetooth headset used to start looking (by beeping) for the last connected device when I power it on. It doesn't do that while paired with my X7500 WM6. It does start looking MANUALLY when I press the call button on the headset and when it's connected (you see the headphones icon in the phone screen appear), it only stays that way for a few seconds. The headphones will disappear again and the connection has been lost.
When I then push the headset call button again, it starts looking again, connects again, and then disconnects again after a few seconds.
I first thought it was the headset, but it works just fine on all other devices I have, but just not the X7500 anymore. I'm sure it has something to do with the WM6 upgrade, because it was working the proper way while running WM5.
Any tips or suggestions??
The icon disapears, but calls still go through to it when they come in for me.
Have you checked to make sure it doesnt actualy work when an incoming call arrives? the icon is misleading.
No, the connection is lost when the icon has been disappeared, because the headset will start reconnecting/looking for the device when I press the headset call button.
If it was still connected it should initiate the voice speed dial.
strange, i have many headsets and dont have that problem with any.
I do have it randomly stop talking to the headset at all, and require a delete/repair, (one headset still wont connect, but i think its a crap headset issue). but when paired, they normaly behave afterwards.
Im on wm6 btw.
BUMP. This has been happening for me since my WM6 upgrade.

Delete and pair
I have had issues with several Nokia phones when upgrading firmware. The other bluetooth units, previously paired with the phone, still thinks that they should be paired after the upgrade. Only issue is that the phone has totaly forgotten of all paired devices. This resulted in many connection errors, when the peripherals wanted to connect, but the phone refused. Can you somehow reset the headset? Delete the pairing on the phone, pair the headset with another phone/pc, and then, re-pair it with the athena again. Just to make sure that it has no old pairing info.

In my work shed, I listen to music on my phone using a portable bluetooth fm transmitter (motorola t505) and the stereo in my shed. When I get a call, I take the call but press the 'bluetooth/headset' button so I can take the call as normal on the phone, not using the bluetooth.
But, what I've found is happening is after a short time (maybe a minute) the phone reconnects to the bluetooth, everything starts happening through the transmitter and I have to press the 'bluetooth/headset' button again to go back to normal. Then, after a short time, it happens again.
I don't suppose anyone can check if they have this problem too? It's a bit annoying having to turn either the transmitter off, or bluetooth off, when there is a button right there that should have it all off.
Here's my "personal" issue:
I have Bluetooth stereo in my car, but phone calls don't sound good at all on it. So I would like for tasker to only let the phone handle phone calls on the phone itself, not through the stereo.
Ideas?
Sent from my EVO
It should be doable, I would set up a profile with 2 contexts,
1st Bluetooth connected
2nd phone ringing or phone connected
Your task would then be speakerphone on. You may need to have a wait in there of a couple seconds if speaker phone isn't coming on.
I thought this was fixed in JB, but I guess not.
I've got my GS4 paired with both the car and my Jawbra headset. All works fine in either scenario, but occasionally I'm on a call using my car BT and want to switch to my headset, or visa verse. Isn't there a way to just click a button/option in phone and switch the device? Anyone found an App for that (I've been searching for hours).
I'm hoping that I'm just missing something, but I've been trying to Google and search these forums to no avail.
I can't try it but what can't you just press the headset button in the midcall menu?

That sounds like a great idea, I would love it if it worked that way. But the phone get's itself "paired and connected" to the car, and it is not connected to the Jawbone. The only thing I found to change it during the call is to turn off bluetooth, which forces a pickup on the handset. I suppoose I could try to turn BT back on, and get it to connect to the Jawbone, but that's no practical while driving and trying to pay attention to a phone conversation.
A simple pop-up with "connect to Jawbone" or "connect to car" would be nice during the call.
If you just want to you your headset to take calls and your car bt for audio, try deselecting "phone" in your bt device options on the phone.
Also I think this issue is more with the Samsung phone then with Android. My Nexus 4 was able to do just this and also allow me to take calls on my bt headset while my phone was plugged into the aux jack in my car.
Hello all.
I have a big problem with my new brand Huawei P10lite and my car, which has an android 4.4 display. Connected in bluetooth.
The car's handless speakerphone works well the first time in the day. Then, either I make or receive a call, I see the car displaying the number calling, the radio goes low, but there's no audio.
The telephone callling screen displays it's connected to earplugs (!) and even if I change it to bluetooth I get no audio.
In a couple of minutes the telephone turns down the bluetooth. I have to turn it on again.
And need to reboot the phone to use the car's handless speakerphone again.
Anyone could help?
Thank you in advance
