I was trying to follow instructions here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=395945 to unlock my phone, I got as far as flashing the radio but at 95% done.. it failed. I have tried taking the battery out, hard resetting the phone but now whenever I go to flash the radio with 1.00.000.0 (in the instructions above) or my original radio 1.58.16.27 - it gets to the percentage screen and just hangs on 0%, then the ROM update utility says its failed. I've well and truly messed it up - when using the ROM update utility it's blank under current image version now and whenever I power on the phone it's always on the following boot screen:
NIKI200
SPL-1.16.0000
CPLD-4
I just can't do anything with it, help!!

I need help, after upgrading to XDA Live Rom i decided to downgrade the radio. The flashing got interrupted cause of MSN and the device got bricked, It stops at HTC splash screen after saying NO GSM. I have tried every method imaginable to recover my poor PDA..
All I can get is to the bootloader where i got IPL-1.01 and SPL-1.09.
I've tried the microSD card thing with the .nbh file named HERMIMG, screen goes white, says loading and then checking and then back to the Tri-colour screen.. nothing done :/
Obviously i cannot get an active sync connection so some thing which i could have tried doing weren't possible to achieve.
I tried using the RomUpgradeUT but i get a porblem with vendor ID with all the ROMS and get an error 262 Update Error, I try to do the recovery thing but the PDA always boots in the HTC splash screen and gets stuck there..
Can anyone help??

yes.. i can.. tried following instruction and installing as in forums but no results. tried loading the .nb files but never made effect
what happens when you reflash radio rom manually ??
if you didn't have the mfg bootloader you have to use the exe files...
maybe just flash the 1.04 loader and then use the 1.27 radio updater (t-mobile)...
after that reflash the 1.01 mfg and you can flash manually ágain
could you guide me in doing that?? tell me what to download an d how to get the nb files for the radio??? plus i didn't get the hang of the mtty yet... thanks for everything

My first attempt to upgrade to AP4 did not succeed unfortunately (SPL to 3.50 upgrade went OK though), my power light stayed green and the display wouldn't come on.
So I took the Athena into bootloader and re-flashed back to AP3.
All seemed fine, the "Tap the screen to set up your device" screen appeared, I set it up and let the customization program run.
Unfortunately after the automatic reset at the end of the customization program, the device returned to the "Tap the screen to set up your device" and the customization program started again...
I tried interrupting the customization by soft resetting before it started executing itself, soft resetted during customization, let customization finish again (and again), but the device seems to be in an endless loop....
Any suggestions/help?

this happen because the spl and the kernel, AKA nk.exe, do not match. not sure what to do except try the new ap3 the cmonex posted **not sure if you tried that**

I have this problem of the "looping" with the customizations. My problem is that I can't get the device to a state where it is "talking" to activesync and from what I see, I need that to push this ap3spl new file.
When you say "just flash it with normal RUU" can you tell me what that means please? (sorry, noob here...) I've spent hours on the forums, wiki etc and I'm a bit lost.
I'm "trying" to get AP4 w/WM6.1 onto the device.
Purchased unlocked (new) and used on AT&T for 6 months.
Went to update the radio to 1.57 and used the unlocker first. (took out SIM/SD first of course).
Got past step one and then got a black screen on reboot...
I got AP3 to load but now I get this fun looping.. Setup device, load customizations, reboot, and start over.
Sounds like this file in this thread is my fix to at least get AP3 working but not sure how to apply. Can I do it from the bootloader?

Since step three never got kicked off, it looks like my GPS rom/radio never was rewritten back to the device.

radio version 1.58.00 no problem. After flashing AP4 I am in a cycle where my initial boot screen has black and white lines at the top and black at the bottom
Then get the Windows Mobile 6.1 screen and after automatic customizing the
PDA resets itself. I have tried to flash the AP3newspl file but it cant communicate successfully with the synced PDA. Any help?

get into bootloader by pressing camera+reset and check your spl

My IPL v1.00 and SPL v1.20. Olipro and Radio 1.58
I have transferred enblerapi.cab to PDA and run it each time but when I flash
AP4 ROM or AP3newspl ROM I get an endless loop and my SPL stays v1.20
I cant seem to get a flash of SPL3.5 which I suspect is the problem.
Am I missing something?

It really isn't hard to do. But be sure you know what you are doing btw. SO read the sticky!
Basically you just download the flavor of Hard SPL you want (I used 2.10 which I can recommend, very easy to downgrade to factory SPL again as I just learned!).
After download unzip the folder and run the RUUWrapper. Follow instructions exactly, do nout unplug your device etc. and it should work like a charm. It takes about 1 minute!
If you don't know what you are doing or you are still doubting, wait for Mr Vanx site to come online again or don't flash. There is always a risk you screw up and end with a $500 brick.
So use at your own risk!

hi guys have tried to update mine today on a jasjam it connects sys it updating but starts at 0% then just jumps to 100% and says flash finished but when i restart the phone it still has the same loader what am i doing wrong i want to update it from windows 5 to windows 6 using crc-9 but don't want to update till i do the loader any help from you guys would be great

Mine is doing the exact same thing. Starts at 0% and jumps to 100% and says it is done, but it has done nothing.

the SPL flash is VERY quick.
I'll ask YOU this aswell, put your device into bootloader mode and tell us what it says.

thanks for your reply after checking the bootloader it has changed to 2.10 olie it did it so fast i thought it had failed will check properly next time and have successfully flashed it to crc 9 and it runs great thanks for all the help

I appreciate your reply Mr. Vanx. Same as with puca, I put my phone into the bootloader mode and it does indeed show the correct 2.10 Olipro version. This is the 3rd 8525 I have had and I could have SWORN it took much longer on the first 2. Even the update from WM5 to WM6 seemed to take much less time with this particular phone. Guess I shouldn't really complain
Downgrade Error 260
Hi Mr Vanx I have followed your guide to downgrade my current SSPL (2.10 Olipro) to SSPL (1.11). But I keep getting error 260. I have followed guide step by step.
I have even tried flashing from SD-Card (by renaming to HERMING.nbh). Process runs successfully, but nothing happens.
Its still showing SSPL-2.10 Olipro in bootloader. Am I missing anything?

can some one point me to the guide. I am facing a NO GSM problem on vodafone VPA 1605 with following config:
ROM Version: 1.20.161.6
Radio: 1.03.06.00
CID: VODAP001
Bootloader: 1.04
I do not see the radio version or the IMEI. So I would like to do a HARDSPLv7 followed by Radio ROM update to 1.06.00.10. I hope this will work. Seniors may help with their sggestion.

I installed a program for sound, When I do a soft reset it hangs on Blue Imate page and didn't boot.
I tried to hard reset but it dosen't worked too(I know hard reset of it, is Green+FN+Power button) but it don't work, Also I tried to install a fresh Rom but it need to loud windows.
Please help how to hard reset it.

After Flashed with the new ROM, My Device is now stuck in iMate Blue Screen Logo....!!!
But Don't worry Guys...it can be solved with manually hard Reset...
1. Remove battery and reinsert (to make sure the phone is off).
2. Hold down Fn and the Green button (with the phone icon on it) and press the power button.
3. You will see the white hard reset option screen almost immediately. Press the Left Soft Key to hard reset.

I have read lots of threads here...trying to flash my HTC Fuze GSM...downloaded Hardspl "RaphaelHardSPL-Unsigned_190_1_3" when I run it it puts the phone in a black screen...according to the instructions its supposed to reboot and it doesn't....after w hile the RUU comes back and says error occured...try recovering etc....
i have also ran the SPL manual from my SD and tried running "RaphaelHardSPL-Unsigned_190_1_3" as soon as I run manual spl from my device...it goes to blank screen and does't reboot....

I have a Niki100 that can't boot, it stops in the screen that shows "smart mobility" and at the bottom the info in red letters.

I can boot it to the 3 colors screen, when connec't the cable at the white stripe it changes from serial to usb, but can't flash any rom it stops at 0% with error! At this screen it shows:

Already tried several official rom's some gives me ID error because it's locked to vodafone, but also tried an Vodafone spanish rom and got update error.
From the versions it's something wrong? It's not my pda I'm used to work with an Prophet, I don't know niki's spl, hard spl, etc... stuff...

Do a hard reset, if it boots then do hardspl and after flash rom of your choice.

Have you read any of the threads about flashing????; you have to HardSpl first your device before anything else, then the CID Unlock and then you can flash any ROM; (I recomend HardSpl 1.22)

I can't go to the rainbow boot ... the PC don't see it

Already try the sd method and some roms tells wrong vendor other (Vodafone) just stays at "loading..."
No boot, the device is hung, no way out ...

I have the same issue:
after I have flashed new Insomnia 3.01 ROM,
the phone will not install any software first and than freezed.
After I have take the battery out and put it on again,
device has stopped responding and boots no more, shows HTC Logo with
radio version etc.
Could anybody help me?
