Tell us whats on your bootloader screen: to get to the bootloader
Press and hold the camera button, while holding the camera press and release the reset hole (while holding unto the camera button), when the multi-colored screen ups let go of the camera button. tell us displayed on the screen.

have you tried to install the AP4 rom? for it to work you have be connected through active sync or if you're using vista or windows 7 you have to be connected through wdc (windows device center)
can your phone start up into windows mobile?

ok, it seems you can't boot into windows mobile then, there is a modified AP4 rom made by IRUS that should be able to work.

sorry to hear that it didnt work.
go here, and download one of IRUS roms, they should be based on AP4 see which one works for you.

Sorry for butting in but you haven't unlocked the rom and can only flash the original rom that came with the phone.
have you tried a different cable and computer.
you have to be connected with activsync/wmdc and have an apprpriate version
If you have tried this and still get the invalid vendor then you could try cmonexs invalid vendor and wifi fix.
If this does not work and you still have a bootloader cmonex may be able to help
fyi from th e text contained in radio 1.58 upgrade

if it still say that then go here ftp://ftp.xda-developers.com/Athena/Shipped_Complete_Updates/ and download the rom at the first link. put your phone into bootloader mode and install the stock rom. when it is done, use the AthenaUnlocker to unlock ur device and hardSPL it

Did you try athena unlocker? you can not do anything without unlock

here is what I've done and what happened:
my ROM was HTC 1.18.255.3 07/22/06 with bootloader 1.04 then I ran "HERM_Unlock_v2a.exe" on the device but I didn't use "HTC_Hermes_Radio_for_SIMunlock_v1.16.00.69" to save time and i wanted a CID unlock only.
after "SUCCESS!" message from "HERM_Unlock_v2a.exe", I connected my device via USB to PC and started to upgrade to Cingular 1.31.502.1 08/30/06 with aku 2.6 and bootloader 1.06 but when I get the "ID ERROR",without disconnecting the USB, I switched back to ugrading to previous ROM HTC 1.18.255.3 and the Processe started with no problem untill 98%, then suddenly upgading interrupted a message came saying connection error or somting like that!
since then my device is stuck on windows mobile screen and I've tested solutions in the "Hermes_Upgrade Problems" page and tried using the "Hermes SD Card flashing" method, But It seems impossible to flash my phone agian.

I think Pof is away until 3rd december, I have the similiar problems with my second hermes, if you have then use mtty to see if you have an corrupted cid using info 2.
Do you have the original rom to go back on if so that will fix your problem.
I've used mtty to send some commands to my device and it answers to some of them but It just stop responding when I type "info 2" or "info 3".
and i tried this in mtty:

Wrong, you also need a patched radio to CID unlock. Running only the exe file without the patched radio has no effect on the unit.

Please attach usb monitor capture when trying to flash a ROM and a radio ROM. Otherwise can't help you.

uuh... there must be something really wrong with it, no response to bootloader commands. If no sd card flashing is possible, I would suggest you to send it to service centre too.

It's a difficult option for me, as I should send it to a foreign country to service center,so are you sure there is no way like erasing somewhere using mtty?

I have same exactly problem on my spv m3100: since sept06 I've tried every kind of Unlock software,upgrade ROM and method found in xda..In mtty bootloader (spl 1.04) respond at every command but not "info 2","info 3" and "task 32".Sd card method works but if you try to upgrade other ROM,in your screen "loading..." and then "checking..." hangs on because the ROM upgrade must to match CID (I suppose..).I'll wait the next ROM Upgrade and ORANGE won't release it until gen07..

it seems your problem is like mine if so, I don't think ANY normal upgrade can solve your prolem 'cause it can't connect to it.
so don't wait and send your device to service center, if you can.
I'm in your same conditions:there's no repair center here so I have to wait Orange who release a upgrade Rom (I hope asap..).

You have a G4 IPL and a G3 SPL !
What that does is letting you start in bootloader, but not letting you write anything because the G3 chip the SPL was written for is quite different from the G4 chip it has been put on.
As far as I have been told, it's a sure brick.

It's impossible to re-flash a phone in this state.
The G3 SPL has no way to write to the G4 chip as far as I know.

My phone is I-mate k-jam (kind of G4).I unlocked my phone’s CID by hard SPL program from your website . I could not install phone’s original rom. Then I installed original rom by shelltools program. My phone is not operated after hard resetting. When I switch on my phone, it stopped in three-colored page. Please be kind enough to conduct me.

So you need the original i-mate ROM obviously. Not the HTC/Qtek ROM..
BTW.: Soft SPL doesn't work in bootloader, it needs WM 5/6 in order to load the Soft SPL.
Connect USB cable, kill wscecomm.exe (in PC's taskmanager) and start the RUU.
Forget the warning the Ruu tells you about having an active activesync connection. Flash the original iMate ROM.

I explain my problem more accurat. I downloaded Soft SPL accompanied by Vodafone Qtek 9100 G4 IPl&SPL.zip after reading topic of How To Remove HardSPL and according teaching I transferred nk.nbf file from Vodafone Qtek 9100 G4 IPl&SPL.zip file to Soft SPL file .Then I wanted to perform Start-sSPL.exe file but I could not perform. Then I found Soft SPL is not operated in Bootloader.Then I performed 2.exe (ROMUpdateUtility MFC Application) file in Soft SPL file accidentally. I thought it is being installed. After accomplishment I found my phone’s spl has turned from olip to 2.17.0001.So I wanted to install original ram but I couldn’t install. It is installed wm6 on my phone completely now but it is stopped in spl page. I think I could not remove my phone’s hard spl completely. Please be kind enough to help me.

try flashing your original ROM which should be found in the wiki section.
ignore what I said below and report back if you were able to load your original ROM

yes I tryed to flash the original rom (its a wm5 i beleive to), still gets error after 1%,, downloaded both on the wiki and the ftp site, =\ been over a week so far no clues on why i cant flash, i even tryed to change the mac address using mtty, but instead of going into level = 0 , i get level = FF witch means the phone is locked out from flashing anything threw mtty,

I think this means your phone is not unlocked
with respect to sergiopi , you cant do the mtty script.
I would suggest you msg cmonex or try to talk to her on IRC on the
dxa-devs channel

seeing that you have nothing to lose, why dont you try flashing the original rom from the sd card using the method in the wiki

I have ameo t-mobile...windows mobile 5.0
run AthenaUnlocker
Step 1 make all finish noc problem
Step 2 hung up on 60 %
bootloader no problem....but can´t flash original flash always stuck at 1% and reboot...
flashing the original rom from the sd card using the method in the wiki ...

what is your CID? use mtty command "info 2" to find out.
for example, if it is TMOB_007, you have to find a shipped athena rom with that CID.

Athena mobile 6 > SPL 1.10
become today a answer from crazy cat, that olipro say must take an rom in athena forum....
I flaswh with so many roms...anytime same error: error 294 - invalid vendor ID.....
My SPL 1.10 >>> can´t find a rom with SPL 1.10
what rom can repair my demaged ameo?????

Is this how you solved your problem?
I upgrade my rom and now he stucks on de first screen when windows mobile show i do everything i can and i don no what do more
The multi port program give-me this error
Cmd>ls boo.bin
clean up the image temp buffer at 0x8C100000 Length 0x03A00000
BOOTLOAD_PAGE_TABLE_BASE_C_VIRTUAL= 0x8C080000
Clear image temp buffer done .
MTTYDownloadImage
Not allow operation!
Error : DownloadImage return error (code = 0xFFFFFFFF)
Is everything i can do to my gene come back to life???????

Do you already do a SPL unlock?
If yes, just flash with another ROM.
Go to bootloader by press and hold camera then reset, release reset but still hold camera untill tri color appear, connect usb cable to pc then flash again with another ROM.
How thing i have all ready done that?but show-me how i do to see if i done well
When im restarting the pda the information tha show is
onbl 1.07.0000
spl 1.07.0000
gsm 02.71.90
os 1.17.0.0
After that screen goes to windows mobile screen and stuck
But is i do the combinations of the power button and camera i go to the 3 colors screen but when i do a update the program go to 2 % and reset

gsm 02.71.90
os 1.17.0.0
When i startup the device i can go to the 3 colors screen but when i tried to
upgrade the rom t when arrive at 2 % the device reset and give-me a error
i don now what i do more please help-me

as per the nos u have posted u have not done HSPL
ur spl should end with .olip or .oref at the end instead of .0000
go to the tut given by Krazy and read many times use the tools and do the needful given in the same section viabhav has also given a tool
chek on both good luck

buddy you are wasting your time .
There is a thread named upgrading ... by krazy as well as a thread by vaibhav named automatic SPL Updater. Just search a bit, son.
or may be you can take the cell to haree who will patch it for you

after upgrade to 6.5 screen showing windows mobile 6.5 onyl
I used SumitsProUsersROM_WM6.5_build21815_OldGene_Fixed to upgrade its struck at windows mobile 6.5 screen only nothing happening.
not able to flash again. Aslo want to note that while I was ugrading it shows me something like "sudden loss of power"
Pls help my phone is not working now.

After 6 hours of trying to change spl to flash the rom i haven´t manage to do anything more ist´s exactaly the same that i have all ready i have download a lot´s o rom´s and nothing i have tried the to do updating the spl by the sd card and nothing happen because i can´t put anything in the memory of the phone i only can put thing in the card from my computers card reader to trying to change the spl to 1.10-Olipro to flash the rom but i can´t
I don´t no what i have do more?
please anyone with the same problem can help-me

is the same that a told is star to upgrading and in the 2 % the phone restarts and give-me that error i thing is because spl is 1.7.0000 or not?
I just see i hav cid lock and and dont now i unlock ?any help

below link as i had told u before u have not done HSPL
u go to the below links and save them on ur comp and Read no one is going to hand hold u and u dont need it with such nice tutes given pls not im a guy with Zero tech skills and i did it so u can as my boss would say its not rocket science
& i dont have any gene tools with me as i have upgraded to another phone (see my sign)
