everyone should start emailing Invisible Shield to get their attention about the HD. That we want one. Even if you get the reply to send your phone in. If we all do it then maybe they will make one somehow.
going to get my HD maybe in a week or so. barely ordered it!
Already emiled them about it a week ago after i got my HD. They said a user promised to mail his in and they would keep me informed
we should still keep emailing them! ahha
Hi guys!
I emailed Clear-Coat.com:
The new HTC Touch HD is now released in many countries, and I was wondering when, or if you'll make protectors for this device?

About 10 minutes later, I got a reply:
We're actually expecting to ship Touch HD Clear-Coats on Friday. You will be able to pre-order that from our site tonight - it should be available in the next 4 hours or so.

Even though I just ordered my HD, I emailed them last week getting the same response about someone mailing their HD in for a pattern.
Hate to let my beautiful workhorse (meaning toy ) go unprotected for long.
i just went to their site and see nothing about the HD.. i haven't gotten a reply from invisibleSHIELD yet... i got time ..my phone hasn't even been shipped..
I'm wondering which one should i get, the brando ultra clear screen protector or the invisible shield?
I'll get invisibleshield as it protects the entire device, whereas the other one only protects the front.

Figured as much myself, but the ad at the site sounded a lot like a scam one. As in "military technology that we bring to you" and such...
How do you apply it? Will it show and won't it be uncomfortable? Will you be able to get the back cover off?
Dude, just "Youtube" the word invisibleSHIELD. It's no scam.
They use the same technology on helicopter rotorblades, that's probably why they would use that term.
Would the thinkness of this invisible shield stop it from fitting in a car mount specific to the HD such as the Brodit one?

Clear coat looks interesting. I can't tell from the website, but does the "whole body protection" covers every part of the body or just the front and back? Anyone knows?

My experience with invisibleShield on another device has left me quite unsatisfied. The surface of the film isn't smooth like PET protectors, but a little gummy or tacky feeling, and when I tried to move my finger across the screen, it would try to stop in places, and would actually vibrate across the screen, like your finger does across a counter top (that squeeky clean type of thing) which would register as several simultaneous double taps, sending my winmo, especially opera, into insanity. Imagine the frustration of trying to scroll down a zoomed webpage, only to have it unzoom every time you scroll . The only way around this was to put my fingertip in my mouth to moisten it, then it would glide across the screen, but that made me look like a dork (like I need any help anyway ) and left the screen in bad need of cleaning. I emailed them about that, and they responded that it shouldn't do that and offered me a replacement IS. In all fairness, I should say that it really is scratch proof. I know... I tried
Anyone else experience this? Maybe its just me... Perhaps I'll try this clearcoat when my HD is delivered this afternoon...
with the whole body as i know it even covers corners so thats a better way to go. im guessing they made it two parts for the back? i wonder too.. cuz with th iPhone you dont have to open it ever.. but with this is totally different. im most likely going to be buying it but not yet. im going to see if i like the phone first before spending more money..
i got it from clove.. anyone buy from there? i got it got 720.. it says it shipped the 19 and getting there the 21.. is that right? kind of fast? but i paid for the better shipping with FedEx.. to USA.
anyways.. why would you just get a screen protector? get the full body!
no.. invisible shield has been fine for me. ive used it on a iPhone and i didn't have ANY problem using it.. maybe it different because of the touch tecnology? so its less stable on the pressure/other types..
has anyone used clear coat?.... i dont know if to get it... according to people the gloss paint chips easily so i dont tnhink im even going to use my phone untill i get a full body cover.. thats just lame from HTC but oh well.. but anyone know about the quality of clear coat?
RHOD210 ONLY Screen Protectors
EDIT #1: These screen protectors ONLY fit the T-Mobile Touch Pro2 (Rhod210). If you have any other model, then the speaker grill will not line up properly. You could do a bit of very easy cutting to make it work, however. These are static cling adhesive, so no water or sticky adhesive needed. It just sticks on there.
I recently got in some screen protectors for my replacement Rhodium210 (Yep, I had to send it in again). Apparently the shipping department thought that the quantity of "1" that I ordered was "15" and sent me that many. If anyone wants a free static cling screen protector, PM me. First come, first serve.
I just figured I'd offer them to users here first instead of tucking them away in storage. Their screw up is your gain.
For any of you worried about me scamming them, I did contact them to let them know about the mix up. They told me to keep the extras as it would be more expensive to have them shipped back, than to just let me keep them.
If you PM me about getting one of them, please be sure to include your name, address, and number that you want.
Remaining screen protectors as of 17:00 Central Standard Time on 8 April 2011:
All gone.

I ended up finding a book of stamps that I already had, so I did not need to buy more as I thought I would. Also, the pack of envelopes was only a dollar. For this reason, I won't be charging anything for the remaining screen protectors. If you want one, just send me a PM with your real name, mailing address, and the amount you want. I'll be refunding the donations I've received already, just to be fair, since I found the supplies I was charging for.
Since I don't have to pay for it, neither do you guys.

I just got the notification of the refund - very kind of you! I know you weren't asking a lot anyway, but I would have been very happy to pay regardless.
Many thanks!
For those of you receiving the screen protectors, here is a thread guide to installing them properly. I've been doing this for many a year now, and even learned a couple of things from this guide.
Guide: Perfect Screen Protector Installation Technique
Last day to get one. I've got someone to take the rest that aren't yet claimed. The Give-Away ends at 1700 CST tonight. Four more hours.
All gone. The last ones will be mailing in the morning.
Thank you!
CFB - thank you again for sharing the screen protectors with us, that was very generous of you. Just wanted you to know that mine came in yesterday's mail safe & sound.

Definitely not worth the $12.99 price tag. Better to go for something much cheaper.
I recently purchased this product after a recommendation through the XDA EVO 3D forum. I patiently waited for the product to arrive and upon arrival I noticed two screen protectors but only one LCD wet tissue. It didn't bother me at the time because I figured I would never have a need for the other one. I placed the first screen protector on my phone, and had trouble getting it to fit properly on the phone. I eventually got it on, albeit not straight, but there was this long bubble on the edge of the protector with no dust underneath it. I thought it would eventually go away.
A little more than 24 hours after use, I woke up and noticed a hairline scratch/line that was only on the screen protector. I lifted it up with tape, and ran tape under it but the issue still remained. It was not on my phone as I flipped from bottom to top, and the problem was still there. I thought how useful it was to have a second one, but had an issue since there was no other LCD tissue.
Needless to say after 24 hours of receiving your product, my phone now has no screen protector. I am very disappointed thus far with the product, as it is 2-10X the price of other screen protectors. I had no problem paying the price because I had this sense that this was a quality product.
I contacted their customer service, and their only reply was just a standard copy and paste reply that it's not their fault, and they would send another for $3. They actually expect me to pay more money for their overpriced product. I'm pretty sure these screen protectors aren't even worth that much.
TLDR; Don't buy Clarivue Screen protectors. Opt for the cheap ones. They also have horrible customer service.
/endrant
I am using the clarvue and had no issues. Nor did I use the wet wipe to clean it. I simply used a paper towel and some rubbing alcohol to clean the screen then followed up with a microfiber towel to wipe away any dust particles. Went on easy and any bubbles were easily removed by applying some pressure to the screenguard with a papertowel and pressing toward the nearest side.
These are very high quality and easy to apply. My opinion is your problems were due to user error. No reason to bash a company about their product because you didn't know how to properly apply it.
People always ask what kind of screen protector I have. Clarivue rocks!
I have stuck Seidio for all of my EVO and now 3VO needs and you cant go wrong, thier crystle clear screen protectors are thin protect really well and they don't cost that much. 9.99 on Seidio.com
I ended up with a hairline scratch on mine also after a day or 2. I can say that I will not be getting another. My Zagg on my 4g held up forever and I am rough on my phones. I think I'll get another of those.
Sent from my Xoom using XDA Premium App
I have the clarivue, I got it on without any bubbles... you put it on while you're taking the backing off.... the backing is folded between the screen and the cover.... it goes on smoothly, so long as the screen is clean.
As fr the Zagg's, they are tough, but too sticky for me. I use them on non touch screens.
That's all your fault really. (Except the one wipe.) I messed up while installing mine just as you described, so I took it off, rinsed it under some water and cleared a small piece of dust that attached to it. I put it back on, took my credit card to it to clear bubbles, wiped it dry and shiny. Tough luck!
Sent From My HTC Evo 3D Using Tapatalk On The Now Network From Sprint!
I'm sorry, but, I don't see how that is their fault either? You think the company should supply an endless amount until you finally get on installed perfectly?
If they mailed out replacements for free then the pricing would increase even higher. Thus leading to people who can follow instructions to have to pay for the people who cannot. Sounds like you are socialist. Go post this on a socialist forum.

I had one of the Halo screen protectors on my EVO 4G. No issues with it whatsoever and was a quarter of the price. The lackluster customer service is the only thing that irked me in the whole process. I have no issue stomaching a $13 loss, I just expect better customer service. The CSR's name was Nina, and was not helpful at all!

What did you want their CSR to do for you? You said it yourself they were willing to give you another one for $3. That is 75% off the original price. If that is not good customer service, I don't know what is.
If the item had been defective, then I'd expect them to send you some for free. But that clearly is not the case. The product is fine, the instructions are clear, and they even offer you video instructions on their website.
Sounds to me like the only thing that would make you happy is if they gave you another set for free. That is a wrong way to look at it since the reason the product failed is your inability to apply it correctly.
For those who are interested in buying these, today only you can get some good savings.
Code "clear630" takes 10% off. (this code expires today!)
Code "clarivue1210" takes 10% off. (expires December 10, 2011)
Additionally, buying 3 products takes another 10% off. If you are concerned with the OP's post, they have a package of additional wipes for $9.99 (15 wipes):
http://www.clarivue.com/pre-moistened-cleaning-tissue-pack.html
I ended up paying $10.39 for a pack of two ultra clears for my 3D. I thought about getting 3 packs which would have been $27 or so, but didn't deem it necessary. I have heard very positive reviews for these protectors... we'll see how they go when I get them in a few days.
Clarivue is now offering 25% off over the Holiday weekend(7/1-7/4). 10% code "clarivue1210" cannot be stacked with this 25% but the buy 3 or more product 10% promo does stack for a total of 35% off!
IMO, processing time is slow for something you can just stick in an envelope. I ordered Friday 6/24 at 1pm and received a USPS tracking # immediately but the post office didn't receive the package until Wednesday 6/29 at 11pm. It's supposed to be delivered today, a full week later. It took 3.5 business days for Clarivue to process and only 2 business days for USPS to ship, from west to east coast!
Oh well, tpu case and gorilla glass means my evo 3d to still in perfect condition. I might not even need the screen protector now! But the other 2 evo's on my account are not as careful with their phones as I am so they'll need the protectors.
Per these reviews, I just ordered the Clarivue Ultra Clear protectors. Awesome 25% slae - $9.73 total for a pack - win!
Looking forward to giving them a test drive.
Yeah they seem to be pretty good quality. I ordered mine on 6/22 and didn't receive them until 6/29. I also ordered the one from Seidio, but since it got here first, I put it on my phone. Now I have the Clarivue laying around as backup in case something happens to my Seidio. Just ordered Clarivue for my girlfriend's new iPhone 4 though!

25% off plus an additional 10% off doesn't equal 35% off, it's 32.5% off.
I had the seidio for my evo4g. I'm in construction and it lasted a year! For me that's good. Sand, drywall dust, concrete. Very small scratches but well worth it. Says its hardness is 3h. Who else says that? No one.
enjoying my EVO 3D. But root would be nice.
In my opinion, Screen Guard are the best screen protectors, in terms of ease of application, clarity and smoothness. At this price, you can't beat it too. Here is a link to eBay where I ordered them from. Very pleased with the quality!

Thanks, purchased.
I have always used Clarivue on my CPs because of ease of installation. Its not bullet-proof but it does the job.
I'd rather get the scratch on the Clarivue than on the touchscreen.
So, test of the times durability. Tried to get a top speed of my mini e-revo. So I thought, yay rezound! Used some velcro, strapped it to the top with a plastic grocery back over the phone due to snow. ... hit over 43 mph, before it spun out, hit the side of the road in concrete, flipped over, and slide upside down on the phone....
... Phone was fine, not even a scratch. Silicone cover, not even a screen protector.. And the plastic bag was torn off and gone by the time I got over to it.
HTC build quality and strength for the win.

funny, my thunderbolt battery cover broke just from frequent battery changes over 6 months, would not call that phone to be high quality construction.
Second, we see posts on here all the time asking how to get an exchange for a broken, water damaged, etc phone.

Just opened my brand new S6 Edge from T-Mobile and the screen has about 6 small scratches and 1 decent scratch on the top left of the screen.
You can barely feel them with your finger but if you hold it on an angle you can seem them.
On the phone with T-Mobile to have them send me a replacement.

The 6 or so little scratches I found are very light but absolutely there.

For the record it was a S6 Edge in black 32GB
I just checked my black 128gb one and it has a perfect screen,

Why is it so hard to believe his phone arrived with a few scratches? Every company has a few defects slip through QC.
I'm not trying to light a match here because I am a new member, is it really xda's thing to asuume everything negative posted without pictures means there lying.
Maybe I'm old, (I am) but I always thought forums were about a community for help and support and a way for people with like minded interests to come together. If that's the case I imagine I should just stay a lurker taking advantage of the developers Roms and not offering any input or help to others.
Bit of a sad world we live In if this is how we now define a community.
Guess I just still live in a different time.
I believe. I've had the same issue with Samsung and Other companies in the past. Just one of those things that can happen during assembly. Good thing is that they will replace it because it's a manufacturer defect.
Anyway thanks for the heads up. Good to know to look for this when I go get mine on the 10th.

If you actually followed the conversation, you would see that the member threw insults at me for no apparent reason. So I guess if you believe that is allowed and permitted, then by all means....
My replacement is scratched up as well.. wtf
Same problem here. About half a dozen small hairline scratches in mine (128GB black). Not a huge deal, but I'm paying almost a grand for this phone, so I want it to be perfect.
Got a replacement coming, so hopefully it's alright. If not, I may just exchange it for the normal S6. Might be a manufacturing problem with the curved screen.
There is another thread in the general section with several people reporting the same problem. Not sure if samsung or tmobile is to blame but it is clearly a problem.
My phone actually had scratches on the back and light bleed by the bottom left corner. Im on the phone with tmobile but they are telling me the system wont recognize my phone's imei, possibly due to the phone not being officially released yet. They want me to order a new phone and return this one, and I will be credited. Wtf how are you guys getting phones overnighted? I reported the damage one the 2nd full day and according to the rep there is a three day grace period for damaged or defective goods.

Too late. I was just so frustrated that I followed their instructions. I ordered one with next day shipping and was told my original order would be completely refunded, including shipping costs. So it will be a wash in the end, but I probably won't get the new phone until tomorrow and I am not sending this one back until I get the other one.
I will say that my phone came with a small scratch by the multitasking button but at this point I don't care. I was mad at first but I hate calling to complain.
My 32GB black one came yesterday (4/2) with overnight shipping and it had a couple of scratches on the screen and top bezel. Not deep enough to affect viewing on the display but noticeable when the screen is off and you see the phone in certain angles under lights.
Like the previous poster mentioned, the scratches are not all in one direction or in a pattern. Mine happen to go diagonally on different parts of the phone. I am guessing it is because the plastic front and back glass protector it ships in is not fully attached to the phone. It's like a plastic sleeve with a open top and bottom so the phone has a little room to slide around against the plastic as the box is thrown around delivery trucks. Mine came in a shipping envelope instead of a box so even the box with the phone in it had room to move around as it went through UPS.
These initial scratches are not a deal breaker for me for now though. The more concerning part is that it appears there has been no improvement in terms of anti-scratching/Mohs scale with Gorilla Glass 4. So my concern is how the phone will hold up over time without a screen protector if it was scratched so easily before I even got it.
