after flashing hardspl the device isn't booting anymore.
Only a black screen and if the device is connectet to PC via USB it is detectet as Qualcomm Diagnostic Interface (comx).
I can connect via mtty and run "setboot" and "rdata 90000000 1".
after that i can run a memory dump with qpst tools or try to run the special niki version of frankenkaiser following the steps from forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=641670
wenn frankenkaiser say "Just be patient ...." , the "7e 02 6a d3 7e" shows on the screen and asks for "Replug USB cable now!" the device is found as "Unkown device" and no com or usb port is shown to connect with mtty and run the next steps.
has anyone an idea whats happen?

keeping mtty aside did u try a hard reset ?

i cant try this because the device isn't booting up anymore.
hard reset, soft reset, soft reset with cam key noting brings the device up.
i bet you have the same problem like me!!!!
look in the threads for the post: htc niki broken
just 2 or 3 thread above yours!

yes it sounds like we have the same problem.
I hope there is a way to fix this problem with the bootloader, but with mtty and frankenkaiser (niki port) way i has no result.

hy i could help you i gest have the same problem you need to do this: press camera buton, with stilus reset an power buton the same time, than your phone will boot from the microsd card your rom image, the image need to have the name NIKEIMG.nbh, you can take thr rom image from your rom archive

I need help on my o2 Atom, when I upgrade it to latest version, it stop on stage 5: Burn in Radio Rom, 0%. Nothing happen even I had to wait for 1 hour.
I upgrade it with original atom rom from o2 site : 'Xda-Atom-ENG-20060426-MOT0822.exe'
The device stay in "O2" screen. this device can switch to diagnostic mode.
what should I do?

u can't update using DSUU from activesync anymore. since u got broken ROM.
u must use Bootloader by pressing:
-power + camera + reset
-plug the USB
-start the update using DSUU.

i just do as u say but the but it fail gives the eorr as i told in my last post

more than likely you will need a 256 or 512MB SD Card, the method discussed here (in most cases) will not work with higher capacity cards. Check the Atom Wiki too.

after u see bootloader screen and waiting to download.
it should be ok to connect to USB and PC will recognize it for sure!
if doesn't... u should try different computer. not yours. just borrow somebody else computer... see the outcomes? just in case u got error/corrupted activesync.
if still not working... u must using SD card upgrade.
Use any ROM.. use WM5 Official ROM.
Extract the ROM.
put: diskimage_Ver.nb0 to the Blank SD card (use 512MB or 1GB)
and activate the bootloader again.
If your device are normal.. it should looking for SD card and start installing the ROM. If your device badly damage.. it will NOT run both method.
i don't know this is your hardware or Software are damage.
Maybe u should send it to the repair... hopefully u still got the warranty.
If Hardware is the problem, usually they replace the motherboard.
because no way to fix NAND memory module.
just keep trying... don't try one time only...

Bro I have recovered from this 20+ times, if its not working (and you can enter bootloader mode) then you're doing something incorrectly, either that or your memcard is incompatible, remember in most cases 256 or 512MB are the only working sizes! So place that EBOOT.nbo into and "empty" SDCard with your PC, enter the bootloader then stick the card in.... It wont take long, once you the screen goes black pull out the SDcard and then enter bootloader, plugin your USB and execute official O2 rom AKU2.2
The flash may not finish completely freezing in the Extended rom update, dont panic! unplug, softreset then flash in DSUU mode...easy as! works every time!

I have done this also even using 1 GB memcard, my memcard is NCP mini SD.
I don't know it was lucky or it does work for 1 GB memcard. Even with non empty one.
But becareful, maybe I am just lucky, perhaps you should use 256 MB or 512 MB only.

1. after the spl.lnk, you will see nothing on the prophet,
2. if connection error, soft reset and try again,
3. are you really following my steps?
4. please make more carefully,
5. did you make the hardSPL yet?

I followed all the steps mentioned and I did this many times,
I have G4 and windows 6.0
1) Copied all 3 files above windows folder
2) Disconnected USB cable
3) Ran spl.lnk file, got white screen
4) Connecting to USB FAILS!!!!!
I tried doing soft reset and removed the battery for a while, restarted my computer.. NOTHING helped out.
Bottom line is whenever I connect my USB with white screen its not connecting to ActiveSyn and also the downgrade exe also giving error message like no connection with PC.
Help me out with this.
Now it works, I didnt do hardSPL which is nothing patch must be done before making the 1st step mentioned in this thread. I saw that in another thread and now it works fine. Thanks, its really fast!!!
I need someone to provide me a proper guide that will not lead me to other topics and the files i should use in order to upgrade mu Orange M600 SPV with windows mobile 6.1 and some greek support.
Thanks a lot and sorry if i act like a total brat but i tried everything in the guides and i think its too misleading for a newbie like me.
I use this guide:
1. copy the 3 files from the jumpspl.zip (attached at the bottom of this post )to the
ROOT directory of your Prophet ( NOT NOT NOT inside the windows folder,)
2. UNPLUG/disconnect YOUR DEVICE from PC,
3. Execute the SPL.lnk IN THE DEVICE (use Total Commander recommended or you
will make errors), then you see Prophet in all bright or white screen,
4. Then plug back the USB port ( connect to computer), here, nothing will be seen in the prophet
(make step 5 NOW or you will receive errors and need to do over again),
5. THEN execute the Rom Upgrade Utility (ROMUpdateUtility_NV_G3.exe ( or G4), in the
HardSPL folder that you had downloaded, all activities will only take 2-3 minutes to go,
nothing will be seen in the Prophet screen. if you see unknown device detected (not normal) from PC, you need to repeat the above procedures.....
(P.S. if connection Error, NO PANIC, soft reset OR remove battery for half a minute and try again. )
6. after the flash completed, it will restart automatically.

But the SPL.lnk is not running either using total commander or the file explorer.What to do?
Use "Prophet Tools", there is a link in my signature.
This will allow you to HardSPL. Then, you need to get a ROM. I'd recommend one of gullums Coffie ROMs, as they have multilanguage support. They may not be WM6.1, but as far as I know, there are no WM6.1 Greek ROMs ATM.

deactivated your firewall too.
The screen should go white, as the new SPL does that!

I also want to hard SPL my prophet but if i run the prophet tools select G4 and HARD SPL my PDA goes into a white screen and after a short time there is an error on my pc.

I tried it a few times and also tried another usb-cable and another usb-Port but nothing helped. My os ist xp sp3, firewall and Anti-Virus are disabled.
I tried to download the mentioned file in this thread but it isn't available anymore.
Please help me, this is getting on my nerves.

What have you done befor you get this error?
If the Green LED Light, you are in the OEMSBL. Search in the XDA for "OEMSBL" it discript the right drivers and what you can make with it! Have you use in the SPL the "Type 2a" command??
My son try to format the phone with mtty for install new rom. probably he make a disaster.
now the only thing works is the orange led when i connect to the usb port for charge.
if i try to connect by usb cable the computer serch for install new driver but i dont know what driver.

Tell your son ... he need to read all posts in a thread! "Type 2a" doesnt fix defekt marked clusters on qualcomm device. this is a reported error from kaiser!! this is why some spls doesnt support this comando!!! you can found a lot WIKI Entrys about this problem.

he must know what Radio Rom Version you have! possible he must edit for you a special "Frankenkaiser" Version to provide a solution. if you need a special version, donate him! one thing ... jockyw is very busy!!!

first on pc go to activesync settings and untick "allow usb connection". Connect to pc and run the install for the original rom (reboot into bootloader BEFORE connecting by holding power,ok button above the flywheel and reset with stylus, hold all buttons in to go to the tricolour screen. I know you're there already but this is now officially bootloader not a f***ed up boot). Theres a chance you will be able to fix it this way. No guarantees.....
Afterwards install Hard SPL on your "baby" so you increase your chance of recovery.

Install the Shipped Stock rom... It WON'T be picked up by activesync but that doesn't matter. Its registering that there is a usb connection so install the shipped stock rom.
DO NOT INSTALL ANOTHER ROM AS THIS MAY PERMANENTLY BRICK YOUR PHONE....

yes, before when i put the battery it's off, when you put in the battery is off , when you make a hard reset it's start in bootloader red-blu-green ecc. no usb connection display say " serial " , when in usb connection display say "USB" but nothing can find the "baby" in the pc-usb.....
one of probably solution i think is :WM5torage for find in usb , windows mobile 5-6 for read WM5torage and try to load original Orange rom . But i have'nt any 5 or 6...
Hold down the buttons I said on my last 2 posts to go to bootloader. Just resetting means you have a screwed up reset not bootloader reset...
