My X10 today felt down and it got some crash in one side of the cover.
I really want to buy a new original case, the same that come with the phone.
Can someone help me to find it?
Thank you
x10 housing...
On cnn.cn website are avaliable (and at a good price) the black cover but for the moment not the white...
you have a better chance of finding a broken white version on ebay and strip the cover.
thank you guys
dear mobilezonerm. I found it there the black one. Do you think is it the original one? like the one comes from factory?
Fakkkkk I dropped mine yesterday while I was drunk. Now I need to get new white housing
you can try to sand the original paint down and spray paint it white
sand with 800 grip to remove original paint ( go down to 400 if it take too long )
sand plastic with 800 and finally 1000
spray paint , 4 layers should be enough
let it dry a full day or 2
wet sand the new paint with 1500 - 2000 to make it very smooth
and you wax it with turtle wax

Hi i'm looking for a Black Battery Cover for my TP2...
Does Exist ???
I understand most hardware shops will sell you paint that'll do it?
...actually, jesting aside, I did that with black spray paint for a car on an old phone back: forget the phone, it was an old Nokia - but as long as you spray evenly (and for this phone perhaps cover with masking tape the speaker insert grill) you'd probably get a good result
I ordered a black battery cover by Expansys and received a standard grey one. I returned it. Be careful with Expansys and pictures that don't match the product...
Same for Me..
Expansys
And I need a grey Cover. But expansys have no cover for TP2 at this moment
I was thinking of spraying mine flat/matte white...white looks so clean. Ill paint mine a soon i can get a new back cover from ebay..
here's a solution to your problem
If it is worth the hassle to you try this:

Are the covers on the variant he uses in the video of a matte finish to begin with? I'm wondering if the gloss finish on the unbranded HTC back cover would resist the dye?

I did this on my verizon tp2 which did not have a gloss finish tho and it turned out fantastic and so easy to do. Now the plastic cam lens cover and the silver colored trim around it and the vol up/dn buttons did not turn color. Perhaps because they were kinda glossy? Not sure, but a lucky break anyway for me. Very, very pleased with the results. I used very warm water, not boiling hot and as I said...good results.
If your buttons were gloss finished and didn't take the dye, then my whole back case would probably resist it as well. About the only thing that isn't glossy on mine is the speaker grill. Too bad, I wouldn't mind losing the silver color.
black cover
Dyed my VZW cover in $2.50 dye near boiling temp then removed from heat while cover and stylus were submerged. Rinsed with cold water after 30 mins and the end result was amazing. I'll be doing it to every phone in the future as long as is has the porous back cover.

Just a thought, but you could use some pvc primer on it ahead of dyeing it. This takes the gloss slickness away. If your not familiar with it, it is what is used on pvc(plastic) pipe to make the glue stick because of the slick pipe finish. Available at hardware stores. I bought an extra cover from verizon for very cheap just in case before I tried anything. I heard some went into their various corp stores and asked for any extra covers and got them free, according to reports.
You could also try buffing with a very fine emory grit paper to remove gloss.
Hi,

I had the same problem the dye from the leather cover stained the white plastic on my tab,
The only thing that worked was a polishing compound made for getting scratches out of perspex windscreens not cheap from motorcycle shops, you could try rubbing the stain with toothpaste which is after all a fine polishing compound, try a small area first.
After 20 falls , uncountable number of bumps... , keys and phone together ...
And finally today!!! My screen got scratched but just a teeny bit!
And its on the screen protector!!
All i can say is this phone is tooo durable...
Tell me your experiences with screen getting scratched
My back cover got a (very) little clicky after some drop from table to hard floor, just bend it hard with hand and no clicky now, lolz. The screen protector is covered with scratch now, not a problem.
But the soft touch started to peeled off on the corner now. I have another white back cover but it's not look as good as the black one (really wish for a glossy black one) anyone know how to convert the soft touch one to glossy?
The soft touch on my black jack (i607) in old days: bruised as hell but never peel off.
Me too facing the peeling of the back cover at the corners. Can anyone suggest from where i can buy another back cover ?
me too. im looking for someone who sells a back cover for my xperia ray
I got my camera sensor scratched (sort of, it looks like it lost a layer of plastic in a few spots), the back cover losing it's matte surface in the corners, and some of the paint in one of the metallic corners and I take maniacal care of it and never dropped it once.
I also had 2 white pixels and could not get it replaced because unless the screen has FOUR bad pixels on the same line they are not supposed to replace it as it's not defective.
That being said, do you think it's more likely to win at the national lottery or to have 4 dead pixels on the same line out of 409.920 pixels?

Back cover no, sorry; but after you get one, a gel cover like this one is handy. I'm very satisfied with it.
But i will become yellow after a time .
I have the same just buy one made in leather it cost 3 dollars with free shipping on ebay
I have buy back cover on ebay,.. original.
yeah I have a scratch on the screen, even is have a screen protector
(in whisper) isn't this the development forum?:silly:
WELL theres no General Forum for The Ray ...
Just two little visible scratches in the protector screen, and some more "invisible" (they're only visible at the sun).
Yes, very durable phone. I love it.
I have a little crack on my screen, don't even know what it's from..
actually i'm an ROTC Cadet which means all the things in your pocket usually bumps to stone whenever senior officers give you exercise. my ray never had scratches on the screen, but a lot of scratches at the back cover, i must say that this beautiful monster is really durable.
if you wear it inside a case there should be no need for other protections
:cyclops:
I had a few drops but was smart enough to have a rubber-plastic mixed cover for it. It has saved me from quite a few heart attacks.
I have dropped it a couple of times but the phone has not received any damage... but some days ago I noticed that the crystal of the camera sensor has some blur on it because of alcohol splatter (I don't think these marks could be removed ) and also two red pixels on the center of the screen that are only noticeable when I set a black background... other than those the phone is perfect

Exactly, I can't see our phone in the general forum for mini/pro/active so...
OnT: Mine have managed too stay pretty shiny but I almost missed the bus going to work one day so I had to run my a%# off and suddenly I feel a jerky motion from my headphones and the music stops. Man did that phone fly or what, I think it was 10 feet between the phone, battery and backpiece :/
Just put everything together and it was like new besides a scratch on the screen (and I don't even use screenprotection )
Still, looks pretty good though.

That looks like a screen protector to me on the second picture.
yeh looks like screen protectors
Lot's of scratches... I think the screen isn't so good what iphone 4 had but still better phone than any apple/samsung
Hello everyone!
Well, I have quite unusual question..
The housing of my Xperia Z2 is in terrible condition. I have used Love Mei metal bumper for some time but it was made very imprecisly so as fast as possible I took it off and threw away to avoid more damage of my Xperia. The varnish on the corners is gone and there are several chippings on the silver strips around the housing. What is more power button has scratches too. I don't want to change whole housing, what I would like to do is to paint it somehow and recycle it that way. Could anyone give me some tips how to start, what kind of varnish should I use, and is it simply worth a shot?
Greetings, thanks for help.
I've had my Mist Blue XC for less than 3 days. I've done nothing but lay it on flat surfaces being very careful with it until a case I ordered arrives. Now I noticed there are a ton of fine scratches on the back of the phone.
Brilliant move choosing to use glossy plastic on this thing, Sony...
Sorry to hear that, what case did you order ( link please) are there any third party cases , beside the original ones ?
Can you please post photos of the scratch? Probably have to use screen protector on both sides. And then use a case
Hard to shoot the scratches. They are really fine scratches on the gloss coat I assume.
I ordered this cheap case on Amazon until something better comes out.

Pictures have been updated on the item now. Doesn't look like the previously advertised case (top and bottom edges are open). I ordered one, and I'm not impressed the item changed.
Yeah, Not happy they changed the images but it will do until something better comes out.

yeah... it does seem to scratch rather a bit too easily. At least (so far on mine) the screen doesn't have the same scratchability as the back:fingers-crossed: . Maybe sony will release some carnauba based polish when support folks start suggesting that the little fine scratches will just buff out...
so anyone could get a glass panel for the back of this phone? anything to put there might do the job actually
Glossy plastic is highly underrated. It looks good and is light and cheap. Won't shatter like glass, less slippery than metal, and the inevitable scratches are...quickly and cheaply repaired to bring the surface to like new condition. How? take a minute to apply a little wax polish with a soft cloth and rub until dry.
I have used Novus Fine Scratch Remover (#2), but I would think car wax would work just as well. I removed some marred patches from when I dropped the phone on hardwood floor and it skidded a bit, and not only did those patches disappear, but so did the fine scratches.
I don't think this would be wise for the screen, however, as it would probably harm the oleophobic coating.
This is why I put stickers on the back (and eventually sides) to protect the phone, and also make it less slippery in my hands, you can see some photos here:
