HTC Eris in-call echo - Droid Eris Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Everybody has been telling me that there is an echo on their end whenever speaking to me. They keep hearing their voice echoing 1-2 seconds after saying something to me. This happens on land lines as well as cell phone. I have tried *228 and it does not fix the problem. I took my phone into a VZW store and they told me to just *228. Has anybody had this same issue and know a solution? My wife says she hates talking to me. Don't know if this is a good thing or a bad thing.

I had the same issue. When you're in a call turn down your in-call vloume one notch at a time until they no longer hear an echo.

Phone Rings but I Only get the last of the rings

OK...
VZW-6800
Rom 3.22 (non-kitchen)
Radio 3.42.30
Not an issue with the rom or radio just background info. When I call my phone from the house or another person cell it rings 2-3 times and on the 3rd ring my phone will ring but on the 4-5 I will miss the call. I loose a lot of time to catch the call in this delay.
Is there a fix for this or do others have the same issue. Verizon said they cannot extend my ring time and I found the have this issue when I went to a PDA phone from my Razor cell phone...
Any Advice....

Sounds like reception. You probably already tried *228. Has this been a problem after flashing several different ROMS/Radios?
I have done the *228 but only to update my roaming #2. I do not know what they mean by update the programming so I skip that.
No this issue does have to do with the rom update I noticed this when I first got the phone when it was all factory. This was when I called Verizon to see if my ring time could be increased. They said no...

I don't know if this is the best advice, but it would offer a possibly working solution.
I remember someone saying about slot-cycle index settings, the delay of how often a cell phone polls the tower for incoming calls, can be changed.
You might be able to lower this in hopes of catching a call quicker... I don't know the (adverse) effects of doing so, you would have to ask around I suppose.
Do some research and ask before even attempting to change these PST settings.
After all, it may be a reception issue.
P.S. also watch the phone when you call it, you might have the vibrate, then ring option enabled... that delays the actual audio ring until after a few vibrations.

Problem during calls the other person can not hear me

I have had the phone since launch and I have just started to get this problem happen 3 or 4 times a day now.
It has come to the point where I make calls on my old Nokia work phone.
Does anyone else have this problem?
It happens to me on reciveing calls or making them , the other person can not hear anything but I can hear them fine.
I am going to try and return my phone for a exchange tommorow.
i had the opposite problem, sometimes i cant hear who's calling me but they can hear me. The strange thing is that this problem disappeared when i changed my carrier from Vodafone Italy to Wind Italy.

Strange call waiting phenomenon

Try this with your HOX+ (at least on AT&T's version):
Call someone
then call yourself
Do you notice that the original call hears your call waiting tones? I've confused many people when that happens.
It hasn't happened on any other device I've had. Anyone else?

[Q] No Phone ringing?

When somebody calls me, they don't hear the phone ring on their side (i think its called a ringback or something like that) for some reason. I hear it ring, but they can't tell if the call is being connected or not. I find this kinda of strange and not sure what the issue is. Is it a Tmobile issue or a phone issue?
I am mostly on wi-fi calling and not sure if this is what is causing the issue, but it could be. I've actually seen times where I call people and sometimes I don't here the ringing as well. Has anyone else faced an issue like this? I hope I explained the issue clearly on here, its kinda hard to explain.
Thanks.
Interesting. Ive had friends complain about this when I was on wifi calling on my S2. Im thinking its a TMo issue.
that is interesting so it could be be a T-Mobile Wi-Fi calling issue.
Thanks

Caller hears loud buzzing when I answer phone

I have a G925A AT&T version - unlocked. I've been using it on Straight Talk for the past year with no problems. Switched to T-Mobile last week and everything seems to have been going fine. However my husband has had issues where nearly every time he calls me, he hears very loud buzzing-static when I answer the phone and I just hear silence on my end. But the call always goes through when he tries a second time. We thought it was his cell phone (Huawei Honor 8) having problems but today he called me from his landline at work and he heard the exact same loud buzzing-static noise while I got silence. So it has to be something with my S6 Edge. I've searched online and am coming up empty and I can't even figure out if it must be a setting I need to change for T-Mobile or maybe my phone is going bad?

Hmm - were they able to fix it? Sounds like I'll have to go in to T-Mobile and talk to them, then. This can't go on - it's literally every other phone call and the sound is so loud my husband is afraid it's going to damage his phone.
