I've got a perpetually stuck "1 unread event invite" under my facebook updates section in my People tab. Tried clearing out all current + past events on fb, logging in and logging out, and also signing into another account (that one had no stuck event notification). Any thoughts? Thanks

I setup my email account using IMAP. After getting my initial mail, the amount of messages I have in the Inbox stays the same, even after I delete them. Just for clarification, It says "4" (in the green circle) next to Inbox even though it's empty. It also says "4 new emails" on the screen-lock page. I tried deleting and recreating the account, but it stays the same.
I originally ran this account as POP3 (with "never delete from server" selected), but when my phone received a message, it would stop it from showing up on my computer's email client. It didn't just happen when I deleted the message on the phone.. the phone seemed to be taking it from the server.
I'd rather run the account as POP3, but I'd be happy with either if they worked properly. The only reason I have it setup in IMAP is because it allows me to receive the same message on my phone and computer.
Any suggestions on how to fix this?
Thanks,

Gmail app eventually loses sync with the server. Sometimes when I archive or delete, or make read, it's not reflected onto the server. When I re-open Gmail, sometimes it would say I have say... 2 emails unread. But it doesn't show the unread messages until I check out the web version.
When sending emails, especially with attachment, it's typically stuck at the "Sending" stage.
There's a workaround by saving the message to Draft, re-open, and re-send. But is there a more permanent fix to this problem?
Hi,
I have a strange problem on my HTC one (stock rom) which cropped up shortly after taking the most recent update from Verizon.
In short, my Google Calendar is now crashing every time I refresh it in the calendar (i.e., pull down on a calendar day). Even with my all accounts set to NOT sync with Calendar and my calendar data cleared, it STILL crashes constantly. A screenshot of the crash is below. I have not installed any new apps or done anything "interesting" other than receive the VZW update. I live and die by my calendar, so this is a gigantic problem for me.
Any ideas on what I should try next?
Here's specifically what I've tried to do to fix this and what happens:
1) Disabled syncing of my 2 gmail accounts to this calendar.
2) Force-stopped the calendar app
3) Cleared the calendar data
4) Verified there are no events shown on the calendar UI
5) Opened calendar and either wait a bit, or pull down to refresh.
6) Receive "Unfortunately, Calendar has stopped"
The crash is always the same: "TimeFormatException,Unexpected character 0x5a at pos=8. Expected T.,Time.java,-2"

Can you post the full log?
Edit: For what it's worth though, it's one of the informations in your calendar events that doesn't get parsed correctly when syncing. I imagine Google should patch this and handle the error a bit more gracefully instead of simply not syncing anymore...
This has been frustrating me for months. I have ActiveSync through work for my corporate email. When I get a new email, I get notified immediately so no problem there. When I read it in Outlook, the notification on my phone stays active as I have a new email. Basically is still says I haven't read the email. It only gets marked as read if I open the email app. The Gmail app doesn't do this. I have tried Touchdown as well and same thing happens.
Any suggestions or thoughts?
Many times, when composing a new text message to a recipient, the recipient doesn't automatically get "searched for" ...
So you start typing "john" and all "john"s should start populating... and with my V30, that aint happening.
Any ideas?
I had this same problem and it was driving me nuts! I think I fixed it though. Do you have the sync me app? Or do you sync your contacts with more than just Facebook? I had sync me bc it transferred over from an old phone and when I was looking through my contact settings I saw that it was syncing to both Facebook and sync me so I got rid of sync me and just left Facebook and it worked! All my contacts now appear as I start to type their name for a text. Hope this helps!
