(HELP NEEDED)Leo starting up problem?!?!?!? - HD2 Windows Mobile 6.5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have an unusual problem (at least for me ). I never had it on my Blackstone.
When turning of, or restarting my Leo (soft or hard reset), everything works fine. But, if I take out the battery and then try to turn it on (what is necessary when flashing a new ROM), I can't turn it on...
I mean, I succeed in than after trying for about half an hour... and I never know how I have done that... whit what combination of keys, or while connected on battery charger or something else...
That is very frustrating and even more because I have just received my replacement battery, but if it is going to take me every time half an hour of trying to succeed in turning it on, and even not knowing if I'm going to be able to do that, I see no sense in having a replacement battery...
can anybody help me? Is there any way to find out what is wrong with my device?

Just pressing the end key for about a second and letting it go works for me ...
Sounds like you may have a hardware issue ....

You could try leaving the battery out over night, also check the battery pins make sure they did not get bent, that seems to be a common problem with this phone ...

yeap... the problem is in the battery pins...
I have to be very careful in putting the battery in, because the pins don't sit very well...
thanks a lot for your help... now at least I know where the problem is and how to avoid it...

Does your computer recognize the device? Do you see QHSUSB_DLOAD? If so, its possibly equipment failure

no it wont , not even volume down and power
does your devices got recognize by the computer even when the completly off?
You might need to contact HTC.
Hopefully you didn't unlock your boot loader because that voids your warranty. If you did you would know you did its not something you do un-ententionaly. As for auto rotate it could be you accidentally turned it off on quick settings idk if thats on stock but it is on mine but i have a custom rom. As for your phone not turning on try it being plugged into the wall it never hurts to try it has happened to me before if not I would suggest skipping T-Mo and going directly to HTC for advice as they know their phones the best. In addition if they only have a sending it in solution then I would contact T-Mo and tell them your issue. Then you could most likely take it into a store and get a replacement no problem as it seems your phone is pretty new. The phone is pretty new not as new but it never rules out the possibility for a bug as even older well profound technology still has bugs that can cause a major system crash. Happens to me a lot when flying aircraft. Hope this helps.

Update seems to have screwed prime

Hey
So I received a message that the firmware update was ready to download and install, so i let that happen, the android figure popped up with its its blue symbol indicating that the update was installing. When the progress bar finished, my prime turned off, and isn't turning back on!
Before updating, i had more than 50% battery without dock. So I don't think that my battery failed during the update!
I charged it for about 7 hours, but it's full not turning on..
I've tried volume down power button, i just get vibration after 10 secs.. Then nothing.. even poked the reset hole. Nothing happens!
Is my device bricked?! When it charges, the light comes on
I have very important files on my device, is it possible to extract from internal storage?
NO," Update seems to have screwed prime" is not correct. You screwed up the update.....Thousands have probably used the update successfully.
Was the boot unlocker installed? If so, you can't use the OTA update.
If it was the ota, probably should call Asus...

No bootloader thing a magicha, no root, just a normal tablet
My main concern is the files on it. Are they recoverable?
Or any known troubleshoot to overcome this dilemma?

For crying out loud....there are a number of different threads about "bricked" primes.
Why don't you just browse the threads....or do a search

If you think that what my description so far (not turning on, full charged, getting feedback when charging, holding power button for 10secs, connecting to pc but failing to install drivers..), is definitely bricked, without further ado, as per your protocol, i shall move on to another post about recovering the tablet.
However, in the mean time, does anyone firstly know if my files are able to be recovered?
that is all i really care about... !
I would just like to say congratulations on randomly poking something into the microphone, you should really check before doing things blindly.
Second, the OTA does seem to have bricked your prime, due to no fault of your own, the device will not allow you to initiate an update if the battery level is below the minimum required levels. I would call Asus and initiate an RMA.
it wasn't the microphone - it was the reset button.
i suspect sending it back to asus means, i lose all my files?!

It is possible that if you are able to drain the battery to absolute zero (I realise that this will take a long time of simply trying to switch it on over and over again) you may then be able to initiate a charge and it will magically come back to life.
I know that this seems ridiculous, but this exact procedure is known to have helped many users in your very same situation with earlier updates.
Perhaps sticking some tape over the power button to keep it constantly pressed down will aid you in getting the battery to zero.
This would be my first suggestion. If this still does not help. RMA is the only option. I would suggest that when you call ASUS about an RMA that you state categorically that the files are of extreme importance. They probably won't be able to help on that side, but it is worth asking about.
found 1 thread with the exact thing :
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1492551
but they didnt have a solution lol..
but, i did see that when plugging my atp into the pc, results it in
device manager showing" APX", but there are no drivers found. any significance there?
its hard to drain the battery. dont know how to do it fast. i dont think taping power button down will do anything :\. once u hold it for 10secs, itll vibrate, but then it wont do anything. so pretty much you need something, a machine, which will retract and contract every 10seconds.. and that aint happening !
so i gotta do it by hand i think
also called up asus and person tried the volume down reset, i knew it wasnt going to work but yeah, im sending it in tomorrow. but i still wanna see if i can drain and get it to start up!

[HELP]Battery problem Motorola XT912

Hi guys, I have a very big problem regarding to the battery. Sometimes it doesn't charge or maybe it's full charged but It drops from 100%, 50%, 20%, 5% and then die (in a few minutes). Somedays it works well but the average is not good. I tried several roms , full wipes and I changed the battery. I don't know what to do. Any thoughts?
Thanks in advance.
what firmware? that did before the problems started?
I believe your battery is damaged. Possibly from high temperatures. I recommend getting a replacement phone if you still qualify for the manufacturer's one year warranty.
thanks

Flying Jelly 3.01. But the issue is general. Sometimes I plug it in chager mode and shows 100% but when it boots drop to 50% (20, 5, so on) in a matter of seconds.

I already changed it so I think is not a battery issue. I'm trying to avoid send it back because I'm from Argentina and I bought it in China.
Another issue is when you connect it all the night but it doesnt charge. At the first I thought it was a software issue but right now I don't know what to test. I think the most weird is when sometimes works just fine. It's making me crazy...I dont know if send it back or set it on fire lol.
Thanks guys.

Hmm maybe there is something wrong with your actual charging port. Have you tried resetting your phone's software?
I think you should flash the stock. before flashing do wipe. in order to avoid the problem of software.
thanks

I did it several times. I don't know what is happening but since two days is working "fine". The last thing I tried It was die-hard battery script. A guy in another forum recommended me to use compressed air to clean out the ports because it may have a piece of debris that is causing a direct short therefore killing your battery.
Thanks guys.

[Q] magnet may have damaged phone?

Not sure if this is the right forum or page for this thread but here goes. I have an Android phone that has worked flawlessly for me. A couple of weekends ago I went out to eat with some friends and forgot my phone at home. When I got home I found my phone sitting on top of my shop vac where I left it. I noticed that the battery indicator showed the phone almost dead which was odd. I put it on the charger over night as I always do. The next day I noticed the phone losing about 10% battery every hour. I assume the magnet in the motor on the shop vac has done something to my phone. I tried 2 other batteries and got the same result. I reset the phone and also forced a reflash and still the same problem. Is there anything I can do to fix this??????
Just to be clear, the phone can usually go 2 days before it would go totally dead and literally changed that day.
anyone? Is there a way to reverse the damage or repair?
