And hey man, I've read the rules and I know how to search. Its not like this is the fisrt post in the last 5 minutes that isn't repetitive. You go over the speed limit sometimes right? It was just poor judgement lol just chill.
some people dont have nothing better to do than to F5 and wait for a new thread to pop up and get their flame on if at all possible.

Yeah...search is broken for most part and even if you did search, there's mixed views/answers on this. A thread was necessary.

The funniest part to me was that the first 3 responses had nothing to do with the thread topic. Not until the fourth post did the question get answered lol.
Mine has 8gb

There are 200 useless threads in this sub forum already. Why not find a thread where some one says they got the phone today and ask in there. There are several of those already around. I have read a couple of threads today on people getting their phone and this question has been asked in those threads and answered. I do not go around and try and flame people or troll threads. I can put up with a lot of non sense threads, just because I choose not to read them, but there are so many threads that don't even need to be started.

This is one post I recently read about the size....

Same error. I figured I'd run into issues when I copied the SDCard contents. I have an extra 8GB Class 6 and replaced the included 8GB Class 4.
My Evo 4G had a Class 2.

Check Your SD CARDS on launch day!!!!
New to Android and searched but found no answer.
Could someone please explain the best way to prep a memory card for the S3?
Do I need to format it (in a certain way, FAT32 or otherwise), create dedicated folders for the kind of contents or just dump everything in there?
Does the phone create the folders?
I have read conflicting info about whether the S3 supports 64GB cards. Someone please confirm.
On stock the phone will support 64gb cards formatted with fat32 or exfat, SOME custom kernels support both but some only support fat32, for now.
As far as folders go the phone creates the ones it needs.
Basically just stick it in and go from there, its a pretty pain free process!
You'll manage fine.
As far as I know they are already formatted as fat32.

Thank you for your help.
Does the phone create the folders as soon I insert the card the first time?
Sorry didn't buy one yet, hence all the questions, I would otherwise just stick it in and see what happens.

I have a Samsung Vibrant, Model SGH-959. Android version 4.1.1. Kernel version 3.0.31-g4b48cac. The problem is the phone sees the internal memory as the SD card. It sees the SD card as USB storage. I need help! What's the fix??

Oh I'll start since I haven't been here in awhile...
What the H E double hockey sticks? Asking a question in the dev section. You info says a senior memeber. Senior member of what, society and your dementia is kicking in and you forgot simple rules? Come on for the love of all that is holy use the search as well as post in correct section.
Model is SGH-"T"959. Search is your friend and you will find that there have been instances of the SD card getting swapped in the CM builds which you appear to be running an Alpha of JB. Search the thread that you got the rom from and ask there.
How was that @Dougfresh?
Mods please move or close.
There's a simple fix for that.
Go into recovery
Go to advanced menu
scroll down into fix permissions
slam phone against the wall
everything should be working perfectly after that. let me know if you need more help!
YIke's...
A senior member?!?!
What the....I don't even....how...

OP don't update using Kies, you'll hardbrick your device and then you next thread will be, "My phone won't boot" or "Halp!! I don't see anythign when I press power".
omg this thread is hilarious LOL

Hi folks,
Based any some other threads on this forum, I've been reading about swapping the original 2GB internal card for a new 32GB card, and the one principal question I have is, does the new card have to be formatted first on a PC, or does one just plug it in 'raw' so to speak?
Thanks in advance.
you dont go straight for 32gb card without knowing anything... have more read first... take your time understanding.. no need to rush anything...
