My girlfriend lives in a town 120 miles from me. I came up to visit today and do some work here tomorrow. However, I realized I left my sync/charge cable back home after using it on a trip last weekend.
"Oh," she says, "I have one in my pocket."
Sure enough, it was in her pocket.
Hi
I have a blue angel with a mostly non-functional keyboard. the backlight doesn't work and about 80% of the keys wont respond. i changed everything over to a new chassis a few months ago and it all worked but i tried the keyboard yesterday and it's gone bye-bye
i've checked the cable and it's firmly in place and all i can think is that when moving the keyboard onto the new chassis i've somehow damaged the membrane. It's weird because it worked fine for quite some time and the BA has been sitting in it's box for a couple of months since i got a wizard.
I've been looking for a new keyboard which i'd fit myself because O2's repair service are quoting over £100 to do the repair. Has anyone seen one in the uk for not too much money ?
Thanks in advance!
Martz

Is the newton ring issue fixed in newer batches of GTab?
Recent buyers plz provide input
TIA
I got mine a couple weeks ago and saw the issue the other day when I was outside in the heat. It went away when I went back inside, and haven't noticed it since.
My first one had the problem. I could do the refrigerator trick but it just came back. Staples had sold out so they ordered me one. It came in ups ground the box was so hot because here in TX its like 105°... Opened up the box and it was just fine... Even pressing hard on the screen didn't bring it back.
I just got mine on Friday, and after being outside for about 10 minutes, this happened to me. It would go away but would come back after pressing on it. I got new one today from Staples, waiting to see how it does.
I noticed it on my first tab and decided to finally take it back after two weeks. Havent seen the issue on th new one and its been a couple weeks. I dont know if its gotten as warm as it did then though. I beleive it has.

For those without the problem did you put it in a pouch or a case in sleeping mode...cos i think this is where it can happen. Outside a case or a pouch i didn't notice the ring...Last weekend i went to Prague, with my tab as a cool guide...and when i arrived at the hotel, the "Oily" ring was there...the tab was in sleeping mode in my acer case.. Since i'm back at home i put it one time in the fridge in order to make it disapear, but it comes back each time i use it....but now at home the tab is no more in a case and even if i used it...the ring is smaller each day...and may disappear totally at the end of the week. So if those who have "new" tab could test their Galaxytab in this condition it would be helpful to know if the issue is really solved.
Thks to all.
i read somewhere in the web that this was because of the heat.....I live in the caribean so its hot always, and has happend to me twice, but it hasnt happen again
I'm still in the 1 year warranty period with my Galaxy Tab, so Samsung is supposed to replace any damaged/defunct peripherals, correct? They sent me a replacement set of headphones when my first ones stopped working hardly a month after I had the Tab. I went and tried to be nice and patient with them in the chat, but the first chat guy just abandoned me. In the second chat I absolutely went off about how disappointed I was with the first chat and how I would like a replacement, etc. and they replaced my headphones.
After it shipped, I used the secondary headphones once, put it down, left it for about a month (I went on a trip and left it home by accident, So they sat there ). Upon returning home, I picked up the headphones, and out of all mean odds, only one side worked. Sigh, Samsung.
I want to go back and replace another one, but I don't want to have to deal with headphones that only last a month or two, even if they are free. Should I still go back for another one, or does anyone here have a nice suggestion on earphones I should buy?
Has nobody replied to this for three years? I like Samsung headphones they last good for me but are bad for running because they fall out of my ears. I'd go either replacing them and then still buy a second pair what's wrong with having two?
I bought a couple to bring to Liberia, one didnt work, after a couple of months finally got it...
When I opened the box the device was open, the battery inflated, busted !!!
The first one, that I use, receives SMS (not all), on calls, I can hear the caller but they cannot hear me...
I spent 300 Euros for a semi working device and a broken one, never expected this from Switzerland...
