white screen/no connection to pc! - JAMin, XDA Neo, S200 ROM Development

I have an s200 device. My s200 had a small crash in the floor (from my pocket) and from that moment when I press the power button the only thing that happens is that the screen turns white and after few seconds Grey and then black...
I connected to the pc but it always seems to find and then loose the device (after 1 second).
I tried hard reset...nothing (press comm button and the pin in the soft reset)
Is this dead? I am desperate so many days

Solution
1st. u've 2 start ur pda in bootloader mode (triple colored screen).
2nd. Connect it 2 PC and use ActivSync 4.1
3rd. Install the rom u want.
4th. 've FUN !!!

WM2003SE = soft reset is harder...

I found that soft reset is more difficult after upgrading my XDA2 to WM2003SE v2.06.00WWE...
it always failed on boot screen...
does anyone experience the same problem?
It's not fail but take longer time to boot up.
and why the bluetooth led is blinking on booting process?

No...it takes forever on the second boot screen and had to soft reset with stylus again and again and again...
PS: sometimes it's pretty fast to soft reset...
I have the same problem but since i uninstalled BT widcomm and disable Calligrapher on startup it only happens sometimes
i have the same problem.
workaround: turn phone off before softreset, or remove the simcard
Workaround 2 (works every time!):
I have the 'record' button assigned as the screen rotation button.
After pressing the soft reset, I press the 'record' button until the bluetooth light starts blinking. (roughly about 10 - 15 seconds).
Hi guys,
I have the same problem, some times it takes forever and i end up soft reseting several times.
Yesterday it got stucked on the loading splash screen and the only way to get it out was to go into the bootloader(1.03) and do a soft reset to load the bbot again. i was starting to freak out.
Otherwise it's BIG improvement over WK2003, much quicker.
P.S.:Have to try the record button trick.
Dear all,
i experienceed this long booting for awhile till i noticed it's due to the increasing size of the DB_notify_queue database.
use checknotify.exe to clear it every now and then (especially before soft reset) as clearnotify.exe doesn't work with SE
another tip is to remove stk.lnk from startup coz it forces waiting the SIM to be ready (about 5 sec)
Where can i find check notifY
damn! I Can't change/assign hardware my button with wm2003se...it only listed button1 in settings > button, where's my other buttons?
checknotify, clearnotify : http://www.scarybearsoftware.com/ppc_cn_overview.html
tip : put clearnotify in your extended rom

Something similar happened to me once after a hard-reset. The "Rotate Screen" option disappeared from the keyboard shortcut list AND from the Screen control panel.
Had to hard reset again to get it back, :?
Faster Soft Reset
Try this:
1. Remove "STK.ink" from "windows/startup" folder.
2. Copy radiooff.exe to "windows" folder, then create its shortcut to "windows/startup" folder.
3. Done
Note:
Don't turn off your radio when you want to reset, as this will force the radio to be turned on, which will very much slow down the soft reset.

hard reset on xda2

i cant hrd rest my xda 2 i have instaled w2005 i tired pressing the cam and power holding them and presing reset with stylus but that made a bootloader to apear i pressed on kltd i donnot wt nothing happened
I've got a problem with hard reset also - I'm pressing everything as described on picture: http://forum.xda-developers.com/files/hardreset.gif but it results only in soft reset and changing date in my XDA II
When you press as shown in the picture you need to Keep all of them pressed for between 5 and 10 seconds. then you have to peek through the darkened screen and select the modes as described and then click the big button in the middle to continue.

Looks more like you have a dead battery than anything. Check and make sure your battery works and has power, with perhaps another phone.

My HTCS740 does not load OS at all - please help

All of a sudden, after turning my phone off today and tried to turn it on again, my HTC S740 does not load Windows mobile at all. All it shows is a screen with the red, green, blue, and white colors on it, with the following notes:
ROSE100
SPL-1.54.0000
MicroP-Rose (LED) v10
MicroP-Rose (KEY) v5
PCSID 0x00
RID 0x00
and that's it, I tried removing the battery, tried removing the microSD car, also tried connecting the phone to my notebook with a mini USB cable and the result is always the same - the screen with the shiny colors and the text I which typed above. I have never tried to upgrade my phone's OS or something similar. All that happened just after turning my phone off. PLEASE HELP! What should I do?
Have you tried Hard Reset?Hold the midle-Butten in the Cursor+Volume Down and the a short push on the Power-Button.......to Reset the Phone push the Volume Up-Button....to Cancel Press any other Key......WM will reinstall.....the first boot takes a few minutes.....Wait......Phone will Reboot after its finished.......and if you have probs take the SIM and the SD out....sometimes that helps me.....
Hi,
What do you mean by "midle-Butten in the Cursor", you mean the middle button of the joystick which is under the display inside the circle which is used to scroll sides? If so I tried doing this.. it doesnt help though
think I got it.. however after the hard reset the same screen appears
Put the phone into boot loader mode (sorry I don't know how that works) and then connect it to your pc and flash your stock ROM.
How to enter Bootloader Mode (Tri-Colour)
- Turn off your HTC S740/S743 (either by removing battery or turning off)
- Hold down the VOLUME UP button (keep it held down)
- Turn on the phone using normal POWER button (no need to hold the power button...just a normal push and release)
- Phone will enter Tri-Colour/Bootloader Mode
something many forget with this fault, and I have seen quite a few is it is often not a rom issue but a hardware problem... in this case it may be a faulty up volume button, or maybe the plastic cap has shifted keeping the button held down, does the button still click ok?
The monet was a swine for the camera button giving up the ghost and doing nothing but dropping to boot loader......

Please help, broke T01A

Hello,
I try to flash my T01A like that
Fully Charge.
Unrar SDDL.rar, copy all files to storage card
Unrar T01A_to_SP50_wm65-new_theduyet.rar and Create prg folder in storage card and copy enc file after unrar into it.
Remove the SIM Card
- Remove the black plastic tab under where the SIM lies
- Replace the battery
- Secure the battery - use Velcro cable tie, rubber band or sticky tape [vital it does not fall out while Flashing ! ]
- Short (connect together) Pin 1 and Pin 3; then press the Reset Button
- Hold for 10 seconds or so; then release
- Turn phone over and should show white Flash screen in progress until completed and says Successful - Rebooting
Shorten pin Method
