Flashing advice required - TG01 General

Hi
I recently bought a tg01 in a private sale and it has been flashed with a cooked rom. Most of the time the phone works fine but does suffer from the occasional lockup that requires a switch off to get things running again. One problem that is annoying is I am unable to get the phone to connect to my laptop using either the activesync or mass storage options. When I connect my tg01 to the laptop with a usb cable + mini to micro usb adapter I get no connection at all ? I have tried this on both a windows xp and windows 7 and no connection is possible. I am wondering if flashing back to an original rom from the toshiba website would so;ve this problem for me until a stable cooked rom is available ?
I have downloaded the rom directly from Toshiba's website and it states it is a Orange uk update. Now my tg01 is unlocked and running a o2 sim at the moment, will flashing this image keep the phone unlocked ? I have been told that the phone will remain unlocked but the fact that this upgrade from the Toshiba website states it is a Orange upgrade it worrying me.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

About 90% of the TG01 in this forum (including mine) are Orange Unlocked Sim and no one reported having his phone simlocked after flashing
Try to hard reset your phone if you have activesync issues.
Turn it off, and then press Power+Camera+Vol Up at the same time and follow instructions, or goto settings --> system --> mater clean
Hope this helps

Thanks for your reply.
I guess the big question is what is the best rom currently for people in the uk ?

I found it's the best regarding battery life and stability.
you can also flash the original rom, and you can find unbranded original rom in rom development thread

Hi there... I bought my T-Mobile Touch Plus from UK a year ago, and have been trying to follow this forum ever since... but have had trouble understanding most of it, due to my limited understand of hardspls, roms, and all that stuff.
The phone has been very disappointing, as I had a much faster and reliable experience on my Magician.
Been to lazy to do anything about it until now...
My phone is still 100% stock standard from T-Mobile UK and its model is a NIKI200.
Can someone tell me what I need to do to make it a half decent phone?
I have also tried to get the official 6.1 OS update... but have been unable to due to my serial number not being right or something. Will it matter if I try upgrading it anyway with those files?
Thanks

1. download the spl files (flash-uspl-niki.zip & sspl-1.16-nike).
2. REMOVE SIM and SD CARDS !!
3. connect usb cable
4. copy sspl-1.16-nike.exe to your device and run it (usb cable must be connected!)
5. after a few seconds "USB" appears on the display
6. unplug and replug the usb cable
8. you can now flash the USPL by running ROMUpdateUtility.exe from flash-uspl-niki
9. after installing the uspl the phone will reboot
10. after that you can flash the new HTC rom update.
Download the HTC rom update from the following location:
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=MX5GHOXC
http://www.filefactory.com/file/a00...831_3_Radio_NikeMR_1_65_29_22_signed_Ship_exe
http://rapidshare.de/files/41219609..._Radio_NikeMR_1.65.29.22_signed_Ship.exe.html
THANKS!! I will give it a go!
Seems a lot better now thanks!
Does that take the network unlock away as well?
Can I now try flashing most of the NIKI100 or NIKI200 roms onto it?

How do I find Stock ROM for my phone?

I am trying to go to the HTC support site to get the official 3.14 ROM for my HD2 which I need to return to tmobile because it keeps hard-freezing on me and I'm pretty sure it's hardware related, but if I return it with HSPL they will slam me, so I need the original SPL and everything on this,
when I get on HTC Support site I cannot, for the life of me, find where I can input my S/N and get the right ROM for my phone, anyone got a link?
No tmous roms on HTC site, go to T-Mobile.com instead.
lol, thanks
Hey Orangekid when you get the official ROM from T-Mobile downloaded would you mind dropping it in a e-mail to me, my e-mail address is in my profile info. I got me another laptop because I was stupid and busted the screen on my other one. Anyway everytime I enter my IMEI into the T-Mobile sight it says it does not recognize my IMEI. I had a copy of the stock ROM on my other computer just in case I ever needed it. And I don'feel like having to on the phone with T-Mobile costumer service for two hours like I did the last time I downloaded the ROM from T-Mobile, they had to generate a generic IMEI for me.

I wish I new of a way to make a network between my new and old laptop without having to actually set it up on my old laptop.

stock rom 1.66 for my phone in O2 network
Hi there.
I am looking for a stock rom 1.66 for my HTC HD2 which I have in O2 network. My device's number is: P/N:99HJY070-00. When I am trying to install another ROM there is information on my phone's display saying "not allow".
Can somebody please let me know where can I dowload it? Any links would be very helpful.
Any other advices are welcome here.
Many thanks
There is no 1.66 o2 rom, branded 1.66 roms are version 1.72, and you will find it on the HTC website.
If you want unbranded 1.66 you need hspl. Use hspl2, choose 1.66.hspl then flash the 1.66 over USB.
At the moment I don't have any soft on my phone, the main problem is that I can't connect my Phone to PC- my laptop doesn't see the phone,so I can't do anything.
I would install HSPL if it was possible, but at the moment I can't.
So that is why I am looking for a ROM which I could install by using memory card.
Any ideas?
When phone is in bootloader and you connect USB, if word serial changes to USB you can flash. Wmdc/activesync wont see it in bootloader, but rom flashing/hspl will still work.

My Hd2 T Mobile dosen't work plaese Help me

I updated my phone (HD2 T-mobile) via internet website and when I finished the updating process, the phone did not work at all.
I tried more than once to switch it on, but it didn't respond. I took the battery out and put it in again, but nothing happened.
When I connect the phone with the charger, the charger light doesn't become on.
It seems that the phone is dead!!!. What do you suggest to solve this problem? If you think it is a hardware problem, what is the name of this hardware
Tray update ROM again
It dose not Enter in bootload mode
How I can apdate rom from diffrent way
What rom did you flash? If it isn't a tmous rom then the phone is destroyed.
HD2-RUU_Leo_HTC_ARA_1.66.415.9_Radio_15.37.50.07U_2.10.50.08_2_Signed_LEO_Ship
This ROM's name
Please support us with a bit more of information.
You´ve got a T-Mobile device and flashed it with a different ROM for a HTC device without branding.
But what did you meant with "flash via Website"? How did you really flash (via Active Sync or via SD card)?
Did you install HSPL or at least SSPL first?
I Flash it via Active Sync
yes I Installed HSPL But sspl I didn't Install
Its dead, the radio in that rom has killed it.
Only options are JTAG or replace mainboard
Though it is strange that the filename says 2.10.50 for the radio version, since 1.66 roms usually come with ..51.. radios, which kill tmouses.
If it really is a ..50.. radio in a 1.66 rom then a tmous should boot but hang at splash, yet you say yours just won't start, so I suspect a typo in the filename. (Not your typo,I can see lots of references to that filename online.)
I am download this rom from HTC site

You said that you have a T-Mobile device, but you didn´t tell that it is the US version of it. Is it or do you have the European version?
If it is the USversion you really flashed the wrong Radio ROM.
For the European version it would be no problem

So it seems you have bricked your device, I would recommend to bring it to a service point and hope that they do not notice what you have done.
Perhaps this thread is a last chance for you:

Sorry, it was not my idea but from b3ltazar. His thought was that your device might get no power to work.
I recommend once again to bring your device to a htc service center in order to repair it. In my mind you seem to have an hardware issue

Is that the Mango ROM? If so you are not meant to have HSPL on your device... You are meant to put back the Original SPL before you flash to the official Mango ROM.
Yes i think bootloader screen.
Thank you very much for trying to help me....
Yes,this is New MANGO ROM 7720
oops, thanks for your help. is it possible to reverse the process and restore it to original?
Its, problem me too...
help!
Bootloader restore ? maybe ?
How to ?
Full reset ?
How to ?
heeeeeeelp!
No clue, don't think there is a way to put an older SPL on your device at the moment.
Perhaps in time there will be a fix, maybe monitor the "Shipped HTC mango roms" in the Phone 7 forum, under the Development section
Sorry, can't give a link as I'm on phone. Perhaps try and flash hour device with a pre-mango ROM (Original, not custom)... See if it lets you, if so hopefully the bootloader will be put back to an older version.
You guys really need to read first and be more careful. If there are no replies and you think it may be dangerous then ask or wait for some feedback from other users

if we turn off the phone and press power, volume up and down and camera, the mobile enters and starts with USB connection for zune update, there may be able to restore the boot.

I have a telestra HTC Mozzart ver: 8697 phone
I first tried to install the official mango Euro rom (7720) but it complained about wrong vendor ID and didn't install
Then I installed DFT RSPL WP7 FG2 and then tried to installthe official mango Euro rom (7720) again, this time it made progress to 7% and then restarted my phone and didn't made any progress, but my spl is now version 4.6, no OS loads and when I try to install that rom it complains again about wrong vendor ID
Do you guyz know any mango rom that install for telstra operators?
Can I install my stock rom again?
this is whats currently written on my bootloader screen:
PD627120 SS-BC (4k)
SPL-4.6 2250.0(129193) MNG
MicroP(LED) 0x07
TOUCH C1(v66)
SD SANDISK 7680MB
Partition Info-v211v413
I fixed my phone by installing the telestra rom I found in this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=915827
my phone now boots and runs fine but its still windows phone 7.07,
I'm now looking for a mango rom which works on my phone

Guy, you fixed your problem but not the one which we talk about here

Please help me revive me 1 year dead phone!

Hi folks! Please help me! I killed tons of nerves because of this phone!
So here is my sad story. 1 Year ago i bought second hand HTC HD2. Seller told me that phone is locked to T-mobile(Not US one!! UK one!! Transaction was held in UK). After I got phone I rushed home to install Android and I was successful at this point. Then I bought a unlock code from ebay, so I Finally could make phone calls. Then I realized that the only way I can insert code is putting back WM 6.5. And here the worst part starts. I read hundreds of manuals but still was unsuccessful. I downloaded many official WM 6.5 ROM installers but they didn't flash my phone. They just got stuck at 0% and error pops up. I was trying it for a week and then I just raged and put phone to the shelf and was waiting til I get will power to start over again.
I hear that every phone needs its own ROM installer for particular region and operator but I couldn't find UK T-mobile ROM so used many others and it didn't help.
I also heard that by IMEI it is possible to find to what operator the phone is locked(just to check if seller didn't lie me) but again I didn't manage to do so.
Here is my IMEI 354120035834066
Please experts help me, little nooby, with this horrible situation.
thank you
Many people report that you can in fact put the code in under android after all,,,, perhaps its only earlier versions that couldn't. That being said you probably want to put a new one on since it (and magldr) will be old versions.
Anyway, all that hanging at 0% is because there is no hspl installed.
Plenty of places to get tmo stock rom,, go put
3.14 ruu Leo tmo uk
.....into Google. When I just did it the real htc site came up second.
Its not necessary, tho,,
Phone into bootloader,
connect USB
Use hspl4 to set 3.03.hspl
Return to bootloader
Flash any 3.14 rom USING USB,NOT SD CARD
Done.

Thank you, but always when I am trying yo install HSPL4 critical error comes up. I think it comes up because I have spl 2.1000000 which should be 2.08 I found information that in order to downgrade to 2.08 I need to flash official ROM. But when I am trying to do so it is always stuck on 0%...
I am so $%^& up ...
any ideas?.... thx
Does HSPL4 not allow you to install 3.03 to your device ?
