Has anyone found a sleep timer app that works for the vibrant? I want to be able to listen to music when I go to sleep but I don't want the phone to run all night.
You could check out Tasker. I haven't used it yet but you can set up timed events.
MortPlayer has a sleep timer.

Tasker did the trick. I will try Mortplayer too and see how that goes.

I use my Atrix BlueTooth in my Pick Up for all calls. When I switch the stereo to BT Audio the Atrix automatically starts Music Player. Is there a way to shut this off? It is a pain in the butt when I want to watch HBOgo movies or listen to Pandora....I have to pause the Music Player because there is no way I know of to shut it down

Just bypassed this in my Seat using Tasker - a media buttons grab on bluetooth connection and release on disconnection.
Monkey see, monkey do.

Thanks for the Reply, I looked up that app, " Tasker ". Looks like a sweet app for $6.50. But I dont need any of the other features it provides. I would like to know how to disable the Music Player Automatic Startup function without spending anything on an app to be honest.
Try Llama. It's basically tasker lite. And itself free!

No worries - I wasn't trying to push you to get the app, merely mentioned it in case you had it / could look up the functions I mentioned as a guide to finding your own fixes.

Thanks for the reply...Looks like Llama turns off bluetooth all together...unless I missed a setting somewhere.
Did you check the settings in the music app to see if you can override the headset? I think that's how its seeing your BT connector.

I did. There are no options for bluetooth whatsoever. All I see as far as options is:
audio effects>
Party Shuffle Off/On>
Shuffle all>
Hi
Having issue with wifes ace stock Froyo. Trying various media players after 20 mins or so if streaming music over wifi the music stops turn screen on wifi connects and music continues.
Subsonic winamp etc all same if streaming. Whats going on?
That's because your wifi is set to switch off when screen goes off, go to wifi settings then advanced then turn off the sleep option for wifi

Cheers worked a treat
I'm just puttig this out there for those people that have problems with streaming audio. I bought my Droid X2 about 3 weeks ago. I listen to music and news every day at work on my X2 using Pandora, Slacker Radio, and TuneIn Radio. With all 3 apps audio streaming would work fine for 15-30 min then stop. When I woke the phone up the streaming would resume or I would have to restart the app for it to resume. It's as if the phone would stop the app from streaming when it turns off. I use Widget Locker and Power Strip and even when i turn both of those off the streaming stops. The only workaround I have found so far is to use the Nolock app from the market to turn off the lock screen completely. So far i have had no problems streaming.
I hope this helps someone that might be having the same problems.
FYI i am running stock gingerbread unrooted. This was also happening on stock froyo rooted and unrooted.

Hi,
is there an app that allows that ? What I want to do is to control an mp3 player with voice while a navigation app is in foreground. I'm in my car with Route66 navigation app running, and would want to go to next track by saying "next".

There is some way but not exactly that which You want. There are siri-like appa that have their own media player. You press on button and say e.g. next track. The other way is a headset control (if You use bt headset). You can.programm oit, that for example long press on the button switches the song (in Your player). I haven't seen an app that listens all the time

I think your best bet is to use the headphone button. If Navigation was to say 'Take the NEXT left' then you can see why it would cause problems for you.

Thanks for your replies, I will look into the BT headset solution.
So I have endomondo pro. I use it regularly with htc music. Whenever i get a notification for something outside of those two apps, I lose the lockscreen music widget or endomondo force closes. I use blue tooth headphones and they won't change the song from the headphone controls if the lock screen widget is gone.
What fitness apps do you guys use with any music app? Also anyone got advice on how to get my current setup to work? Thanks appreciate it

I've used Jefit Pro for years for tracking workout information. I also have Endomondo to track trails when mountain biking and have had the same issue with headset controls not changing the songs but that was only when I had any type of 3rd party equalizer installed. I regularly used both with the stock HTC player and PowerAmp. You might be able to switch to No Lock Screen when working out to fix your issue.
