Subsonic winamp etc all same if streaming. Whats going on?

That's because your wifi is set to switch off when screen goes off, go to wifi settings then advanced then turn off the sleep option for wifi

For those that trouble streaming audio

I'm just puttig this out there for those people that have problems with streaming audio. I bought my Droid X2 about 3 weeks ago. I listen to music and news every day at work on my X2 using Pandora, Slacker Radio, and TuneIn Radio. With all 3 apps audio streaming would work fine for 15-30 min then stop. When I woke the phone up the streaming would resume or I would have to restart the app for it to resume. It's as if the phone would stop the app from streaming when it turns off. I use Widget Locker and Power Strip and even when i turn both of those off the streaming stops. The only workaround I have found so far is to use the Nolock app from the market to turn off the lock screen completely. So far i have had no problems streaming.
I hope this helps someone that might be having the same problems.
FYI i am running stock gingerbread unrooted. This was also happening on stock froyo rooted and unrooted.

Check Settings>>Battery & data manger>>Battery mode and look at what battery profile you are currently running.... the max batt saver turns data off after about 15 minutes....

TuneIn issue?

When I'm listening to podcasts or radio with the screen off my stream will randomly stop and refuse to start back up. TuneIn will also sometimes report cannot start stream and won't play until I force close app and restart it.. My phone doesn't appear to lose wifi and I have the phone set to not put connection to sleep.. Any other ideas, I'm getting frustrated.. Thanks..

[Q] Audio Stutter when in lockscreen - wifi connection disconnection

Hi,
I've search the forum for a problem similar to mine but don't find anything that matches quite right.
When I listen to tracks (headset) and keep the phone on, there is no problem. If I put the phone in my pocket then when the lockscreen activates I start to hear stuttering. It does not matter what audio app I'm using, it can be the stock player, or my podcast player - of which I've tried a few -all with the same problem.
After some further testing I came to the realisation that this issue is not only related to lockscreen, its related to wifi as well. When I'm traveling on the London underground which is now becoming wifi enabled, everytime I enter/leave a station the audio playback starts to stutter. If I push the power button to reactivate the screen it starts playing perfectly again. The stuttering only occurs when screen is locked or device is sleeping or whatever we call the mode when it turns off the screen.
When I leave the house while listening to music, I get exactly the same problem, as soon as I get out of range of my wifi connection it starts stuttering. Once again reactivating the screen immediatley fixes the issue.
When I turn wifi off during my travel there is a noticible improvemenet to the amount of stuttering I get, but not always completely gone, which leads me to believe it might be related to any connection / disconnection including 3g. Or maybe that the wifi issue is incidental rather than causal.
The sound resumes normal playback after anything up to 10 secs of stuttering. It really makes listening to music or podcasts while traveling to/from work quite irritating.
I had this issue with 2 different builds - the original stock build from T-Mobile - and is still the case after using Odin to upgrade (downloaded from here) to
baseband: I9300XXDLID
Kernel: 3.0.31-368423
Build: JRO03C.I9300XXDLJ4
Phone is not rooted.
Does anyone have any ideas, suggestions of fixes for me. Would really like to listen to tracks without having to keep my phone in my hand and draining my battery unnecessarily.
Thx for any help....

Can't use via WiFi when streaming to Bluetooth Speaker

When connected to my Sony SRS-BTX500 bluetooth speaker (is it really aptX capable because my phone says so but couldn't find info about it online) while streaming music over WiFi or surfing the net the music drops out for half a second and then plays again normally every now and then but the more serious problem is that sometimes I can't even surf the net while being connected to bluetooth because it simply isn't able to load the webpage.
It just happend to me minutes ago on facebook. I was surfing completely normal then decided to listen to music on the bluetooth speaker by streaming music from Spotify over WiFi and when I wanted to continue surfing facebook it couldn't load the next page.
After switching bluetooth off and reloading the page everything worked normal.
After reconnectiong both worked together but the sound droped out every now and then.
I was on stock Sony firmware and ROM 17.1.A.2.55 bought in Germany.
I already lowered the streaming quality of Spotify to normal because with extreme I didn't could think about surfing the net.
As far as I remember the WiFi even dropped out several times on extreme quality.
I already downloaded the files to have the locally but even then I'm having the same problem.
Furthermore I also upgraded to the .69 firmware and RomAmur 2.0 ROM and it didn't help.
When switching off WiFi and turning mobile data on everthing works completely flawless but this can't be it.
Additionally I configured my AP from greenfield mode WiFi n only back to b/g mixed and mixed mode but the problem still isn't solved this way.
quite frustrating the whole thing
Kind regards

Streaming music cuts out via bluetooth

Hey everyone,
When I have my phone connected up to Bluetooth in my car I can stream music (from andrewhaug.com app) for about 5-10 minutes before the music stops. If I wake the device it will resume streaming. Has anyone experianced this behaviour? Is there any kind of setting that I need to look at?
Im running DevBase 5.9.
I have tried resetting the Bluetooth settings but to no avail.
I have noticed possible similar behavior. When using my s9 plus verizon with my 2012 infiniti g37 randomly the Bluetooth music will skip on Spotify(every couple of minutes the music I'll pause for a second almost like a skipping CD) Never experienced this with my s8 or s7. Its always been like this with my s9. Never changed any settings or bothered looking into it.
So, somewhat of an update.
Over the past week I have noticed that the music streaming only cuts out IF the app is not the main focus. What I mean by that is; the app has to be running in full screen, like any normal app, BUT, if you exit out of it to the Home screen or go into another app and then lock the phone, that is when the music stops after a certain amount of time. Even though the app has a background service running, for some reason, its not the main app in focus, it gets put to sleep/kills the resources for it.
A bit of a weird quirk. Not sure if its an Android thing or an app thing.
Put the app out of battery optimisation & allow its background activity

I have battery optimization turned off for all apps.
Another interesting issue is when I'm streaming music, a call comes through, and when its done, the music doesn't resume playing. If I resume it like normal, it then stops like the original problem.
I can restart the phone and then it doesn't have a problem.
