Hello everyone, I have a problem with my HTC TYTN... When I'm trying to enable phone function it don't do anything and in fact I have only PDA without phone function Maybe you have some ideas how to fix this problem... Many thanks
I had that problem once. At boot it showed a message telling there was an error with the radio. I wasn't able to format the radio and/or flash a new one, nor anything else i could find online.
So in the end i figured the chip or something was just broken. Turned it in to get it repaired, luckily warranty was still valid for 2 weeks. Got it back and has bin working great again.
I hope you can fix it yourself if it's out of warranty.
Turn the Hermes off then on, DON'T use reset button on bottom, use power button and turn off phone. Reset button is for a warm boot, this doesn't dump the things in ram so if its an app thats causing the problem this won't fix it.
Turn back on and watch to see if it says "no GSM".
If it does then you're stuffed....
I have my htc hd2 (t8585) unlocked version from cyprus. The phone is having many freezing issues. What can i do??
I am using official ROM (ELL)
I have also posted a video on youtube:

Can you be more specific on the freezing .. do you phone freezes at the lock screen? or while working with an application?
Its good to know what handling you were doing in what application when it causes to freeze.
ATM there is a problem with twitter.com accounts. It also causes freezes on the phone
No, my phone won't freeze if i am using it! It will freeze only if i leave it at stand by mode for longer that approx. 30 minutes - 1 hour.
Additionally sometimes it starts from the first soft reset, but some other times it takes much longer to switch on!
Hi. I got this problem for quite sometime and am so used to taking out and putting back and taking out and putting back the batt.
But now I have another prob: my ringtone suddenly went soft and I now have to keep myself alert all the time to see if there's any incoming call or SMS.
I would like to do a hard reset but the question is: will it set my phone back to the stock ROM or still retain the updated version - 1.66.707.1?
Thanks in advance.
Just got my new HTC Amaze and loving it so far. However, I use a Kenwood X695 headunit in my car for handsfree calling. About every 30 seconds it tries to automatically download my phonebook from the Amaze.
This used to happen with my Evo3D and Evo4G, but it would only try once when the head unit was initially turned on, and never again. With the amaze is it literally every 30 seconds. I have tried chooseing Automatically Disable on the phone itself when it pops up the request for the download. Ive tried selecting "Disable automatic sync" on the head unit. Nothing seems to stop it.
Im told the ultimate root of this problem comes down to the PBAP (Phone Book Automatic Profile) within Android. I need to disable this. Does anyone know how to do this? Right now Im on stock unrooted. If I need to, I will root the phone and try a different rom. But I need to discover how to disable this. Any and all help is appreciated here. Thanks!
I'll go short about the issue I've been facing since past week.
Ever since I get call, when the screen is locked, screen would just remained off. It's like my phone is ringing and vibrating with turned off screen. To wake up to see who's calling I need to press the power button and then the screem would lit up. Or else the screen would stay turned off till the call ends. Any idea whats wrong?
Also I'm stock JB 4.1.1 no root no nothing.
Cheers!

You have bootloader unlocked? If yes, did you install ROMs before? If yes, then you maybe need a clean reinstall. Otherwise you may have a hardware issue, claim warranty then. Instead you can always try wiping cache and dalvik cache.

Already said no bootloader unlocked no root no roms no mods no nothing, its 100% stock..
You didn't mentioned if you restarted or/and restore to factory defaults.
If not, do it first (of course after you backup your data).

I have an Verizon Motorola RAZR as a work phone and I need some advice.
I haven't messed with it at all since it's a corporate phone but it gets intermittently (actually usually) non-responsive (it literally takes 30 seconds to respond to a screen input, sometimes the screen won't turn on so I can answer the phone until AFTER is stops ringing, etc.) and I've had enough.
Some questions:
1. Is there a known root cause that results in this type of behavior and can it be fixed?
2. Can I root the phone without losing data?
3. By switching to cyogenmod ROM can these issues with lack-of-response be avoided (I understand that it can be loaded on in addition to the stock ROM)?
4. What is the best strategy add cyogenmod (or other ROM) if I chose to pursue this path?
This phone is mission critical so I wanted to check with someone with experience before I started messing with it... I have rooted and installed ROMs before but never on a Motorola phone.
thanks!
