I just rooted my Eris and I'm interested in overclocking. Can anyone recommend some good setcpu profiles for the Droid Eris?

The only other profile not shown is the same as "AC/full", called "USB/Full
I get about 2 days use out of a full charge, though I use the 1750 MaH battery over the (1300MaH) stock one.

Take a look at the attachment I made. Its simple, and it works well enough for me. I have the internet off a lot and am a heavy texter, so this fits.

For good battery life and good speed, try 710max 480min with 2 profiles. 480/245 when temp gets 40-43° and 480/245 when screen is off. Just my opinion. Works good for me.
Keep in mind the higher you overclock the more it will drain your battery. NEVER check set on boot till you have found a speed that is stable or your device could freeze on boot.

I haven't looked at the newer kernels so I haven't been using it. The initial stock offerings were always buggy when I used SetCPU, especially when I used a screen-off profile to set the speeds pretty low. I did that on my old G1 and the battery life did increase quite a bit.
Not likely to really help with the battery if you are not over clocking. If you get system panel app you can view in real time the cpu use. You could cap the top end to 600 or 800 MHz, but with the new roms there really isn't much need 'cause the battery life is excellent now and has been for 2-3 months now.
I use it along side the superpower app to set a pretty strict sleep profile. Thinking about adding taskser too, but that might just be overkill.
I'm using SetCPU with multiple profiles set to drop cpu with screen off and with battery under 50%, also using JuiceDefender, and took this screen shot today:

[Q] Battery life

It seems a lot of people were saying the Atrix had very good battery life, but after flashing one rom and kernel then back to stock with stock kernel. It seems my battery life isn't the best, it may just be me or actually the phone.
So, is it just what I did to the phone or the phone?
I'm at 60% with 5 hours and 12minutes of use.

You used a lot of wifi and 3g. It looks like your phone could make a workday from morn til night on a single charge. How much battery did you expect? 3days? You can 5 days if you just leave it in your pocket in airplane mode.
I voided my warranty and your mum.
My Atrix 4G drop 30% after 1 night (2am - 7 am)...
I checked batterymix software, the fingerprint service comsumes about 70% of the TTL energy eventhough i disable the service and set security screen to none.
How can I turn the service off permanently?
I'm using (3.14) CRUST v0.7 with [email protected]#1 kernel....
Srry because I just bought the phone (used) yesterday!
Guys, is there really a need in creating yet another battery life thread?
I have personally wrote a complete thread with all known fixes, as did a number of other forum members.

Your problem isn't unique, please look at what others wrote before starting from scratch.

Battery life w/ CM7 (Pics inside).

Whats your guys battery life like? Considering its alpha and all, its pretty great battery life. Figured i'd share my usage and see how it compares w/ some of you fellow CM7'ers
Btw, this is NOT overclocked.

Not too bad, as you can see, still had 17% left, but i normally dont like my battery to even hit 25%.
5 plus hours screen on isn't bad.... But I can't wait to see what it can do after they work on the power more. It is showing promise.

exactly my point. shows great promise on just alpha. curious what others are getting as well.
About the same.. I was using my TP pretty heavily for 5 hours with live wallpapers (koi - from the videos) and still had 37% battery left. Very happy with this "Alpha" build, can't wait to see what they improve.
Yeah, I've experienced solid battery life considering. Quite impressed.

Pretty good results there. I haven't installed CM yet, but I reckon I get about 8 or 9 hours of screen on time with WebOS, so it looks like CM is in the right ballpark.
Maxy
No sleep deaths after raising minimum setting with CPU master
Wifi seems fine after setting to never sleep

[Q] Does Perseus kernel give a better battery life?

I'm currently running Omega V43.2 on my phone and it works like a charm (No lag). Average battery life is 1 day and 2/3 hours on screen. I'm thinking that changing the stock kernel to Perseus may help improve my battery life but wonder if Perseus kernel really does the magic. Some advice is much needed thanks
+1
If you leave default settings, yeah.
If you optimize it even more for battery life, then heck yeah.
If you configure it incorrectly / aggressively for performance - you may actually reduce it.

thanks maybe i should try it out.
Battery life depends on your signal strength, data transfer, running apps and usage scenario.
For my usage, 3hours is pretty good, others have far more

[Q] Bad battery life

Hello, 3 days ago I've installed CM10.1 nightly build from 2013-07-25 on my friend's Galaxy S III (international), now his battery life is really bad and he's complaining on me, any way I can improve the battery life?
Here goes a screenshot (as you can see, he wasn't even using the phone when the battery just dropped 50%):

Cyanogen mod roms are known to drain battery much faster than touchwiz.so you cant really expect the battery life to be the same as on stock or stock based roms. you may improve the battery life by using an app called Greenify. it hibernates apps so that they will not run in the backround. this can help considerably. also make sure to turn off gps , bluetooth, wifi. and mobile data when not in use.
well first tell your "friend" that thats how things are in AOSPs. Secondly use differrent kernels and proper setting to get max battery (tutorials are available) plus greenify apps you do not use. And the usual killers as GPS/WiFi/NFC/3G use only when needed or turn them off..
Something is extremely wrong there. Get a normal usage BBS dump and post it here. Also take screenshots of the BBS pages.
Also post a screenshot of your battery stats page (one that shows which apps drain battery).
