I bought an extended battery, when I drain the battery all the way down then remove the battery and replug it back in, it says I have another 50%. I know I can fix this by updating the battery driver but I can't seem to find it. Can someone please point me?

It's part of the latest O2 stock ROM, not sure about other ROM.
Never seen it as a seperate item though.

I use desktop charger to charge my battery.
I unplug my battery when it is fully charge.
When I plug it into my phone, the battery status only show 12%.
And the reading will increase gradually for a long time.
I have two batteries, and they are having the same issue.
I don't know it is the issue of battery or the phone.
It is an annoying problem, can anyone answer my question.
Thank You!

Hey,
did u flash a Rom?
Seems to be a Kernel prob, so just flash an other one (f.ex Siyah 2.5.2)
CHEERS
I am using speedmod for my phone kernel,k18 - test 12...
It seems to be the most battery savings,
so I want to stay on this kernel.
Is it a bug for this kernel??
Have you tried deleting battery stats in CW Recovery (assuming your phone is rooted) ? Once you've done this, charge the phone fully whilst turned off & see if that helps.

So, it is very annoying...
Thank you for your reply

Flash back to stock rom and kernel is the only way to test .
jje
I will try to flash back to stock rom later.
Thank you for helping me.
hello all
i have a question please
my battery is acting odd
if i charge my phone , and then unplug it ... it will still charge by itself a few points.
for example if i remove the charger at 80% and then leave the phone alone it will charge by itself in the next hour to about 84-85
if i charge to full ... it will show 96% ( which i know is normal ) and then charge to 100 by itself
it does not matter which precent i unplug the charger from it will still do this
i tried different kernels and roms , the problem still shows
using the default battery that came with the phone
any ideas please ?
thanks
easy fix, pull the battery without turning off the phone.
correct one, let the phone drain the battery till it shutdowns itself or until you have like 5%
i already tried to let it drain untill 1-5% and then charge it fully but the same thing happens
Have you tried replacing the battery? or it could be something in the rom that thinks its charging but i wont be! I used to have the same problem. I just flashed my original kernal from the insecure one i was using and it just fixed itself, but if youve already done that..
Have you had any other problems regarding the battery? for example a drop in battery life etc?
then pull the battery till it doesnt lower the fuel gauge if that doesnt works then replace the battery may be damaged as iGeoo said

ok let me explain while the device is turned on and in use you pull the battery and sometimes it will turn back on with a lower read of the fuel gauge (think of pulling the battery of a blackberry lol). after that it should start to give better readings.
also battery can be damaged by just heat and over-recharging it (leaving it connected for a long period of time after it reached its 100% of capacity)

Some guys in russian forums say that if you leave your phone charging for 15 minutes without battery the it'll wipe all the information on the device. Including all the firmware, basebands and kernel. Exactly EVERYTHING, sdcard also, after the procedure you will have a nice piece of plastic. It may give you a chance to reflash your device. Pretty flimsy, but may worth a shot. After deleting everything just flash it through flastool.
I'd reccomend you search the information about this method.
This was long time ago and i solved it with another battery.
i have a phone that wouldn't charge the battery. i pulled the battery and charged it up and put back in phone. the screen still shows i need to charge the battery. i pulled the battery again and the charging port looked to be in bad shape, so i put a new one in. battery still showing needs to be charged. bought another battery, same issue. how do i troubleshoot it from here? or does someone know what it is?
Hi, recently my rn3 pro stopped charging today and i'm trying to figure out if it's the charging connections or the battery itself.
Therefore, if i disconnect the battery, should the phone turn on if i plug it to the charger? I mean there is a direct connection between the charging port and the motherboard, then from the motherboard the battery takes current and charges, so i guess the answer is yes, but i want someone who might have dealed with this to confirm or deny this idea. Thanks!!
In case anyone confronting with this, yes you can, so if your phone doesnt turn on without the battery if plugged then it's the charging pcb that you should replace and not the battery necessarily

If I understood correctly the device can be used without a battery if it is plugged in? The original battery still provides decent backup. So if the above is true I won't bother to replace it with original battery which is still available but can go permanently OOS at any time.
