Hello.
I've been running Igo 8.3.4 my way on my HD2.
I decided to try Igo primo on the same phone without first removing iGO MW. Since then IGO has trouble getting location - 3+ minutes compared to the 1 before it. It also loses all satellites sometimes( no red or yellow dots after starting the program, after restart this problem disappears)
I tried hard reset and running the program again ( I have not installed it from scratch) and the problem persists. The only logical explanation is that Primo wrote some settings into MW and this cripples the performance of the device.
My question :
Anyway to test the gps function of the device.
Any ideas how to fix it ( apart from re-install + hard reset)

Hi.
I don't know what is causing my device to sporadically hard reset while charging: After a while the battery indicator stucks at a lever far below 100% and almost every application won't start any more. I than looked into the build-in explorer and noticed that many of the files that are cooked into rom were missing. But windows was still running and I could even go to preferences etc.
after a soft reset the "first booting" splash screen revealed and all the setting were gone. And the battery indicator shows nearly 100% again.
It does not happen every time I recharge my device. The last hard reset of that kind happened two weeks ago.
Any ideas?
Which ROM are you using??
I had this issue on either Bauners V7 WM6.5 rom and TAELs WM6.5 rom.
I've noticed a connection between charge level below 30% and enabled WLAN. I'm not sure about that. ROM data wasn't corrupted as I could reactivate my device by performing a hard reset (vol-down + ok + reset).
This has happened to me only once and never after that..
Hi..
i used the search but could not find anything..
I am having some issues with eh phone..
it freezes up when even i want to use it..
i can use it for a few minutes and then freezes up.
everything goes really slow or just doesn't react.
i didn't open anything special
just tried a hard reset..
only added google maps but didn't open it.
have exchange and hotmail syncing.
that's it..
soft reset helps for a few minutes and then it crashes again..
i really have no clue why this happens..
does anybody have a suggestion that i could try?
Thxn!
Well, could be simply a hardware problem (either a faulty one or f.i. a loose connection after dropping it).
Do you use your S740 only since a short while (new device) or have these problems started after a while ?
I use it now for a year and 4 months (actually with quite a few apps installed) and it's incredibly stable.
Sometimes it gets a bit slow, and then I do a soft reset.
But thats maybe bi-weekly.
I suspect that using McGuider navigation software alongside other apps (like Opera mini/java and Audio Notes and always bluetooth on) is the cause most of the time.
Only with SmartToolkit I had some structural problems of freezing.
There's one thing you can try:
I did read in some cases with people with serious problems, who needed a hard-reset, that only after a few hard resets their S740 again worked as new.
So try a few more hard-resets.
good luck

Thank you for the reply..
its not a new phone..
worked perfect the last couple of months.
this just started this week..
I will try doing a few more hard resets.
Hope that works...
Thanks so far!
Hy
I had the same problems after Hard Reset.I fixed it by Loading the akku to 100%,Switching off the phone,Removing the akku,Removing the SIM,Removing the StorageCard,Insert the Akku,Hold Down the Volume down button+the button in the middle of the cursor und short press on the power button and folow the text on the screen!Let the phone finish all and let it reboot and let it install all the original stuff! After a few reboots and when the phone seams to be finished you can install the Sim and start the phone again, let it install all the provider stuff, when its finished you can install the Storage....if you let the sim and the storage in the phone and make a reset something wents wrong at installing!
MFG
I'm using the latest wmwifirouter software (2.0 i think) on my uk hd2 with the latest unbranded rom 1.66. However, the program often becomes unresponsive requiring a soft reset to get it working again. I've tried going to the task manager to close it be it still seems to run and It won't start up again.
Any ideas what could be causing this?
Does anyone else have this problem?

I am having a similar problem. Using wmwifirouter on my hd2 as a wireless adapter (wifi to usb) after several hours, the program will cut the incoming data and become unresponsive. When I try to exit the program, it gets stuck at rebinding the usb connection and CPU usage jumps to 90% and requires a soft reset for the phone to become usable again.
Hello,
We currently use 16 HTC HD2's as field devices at the place where I work.
They are all running 1.72 stock Telstra ROM's (requirement to stay with carrier provided ROM's).
We typically have two applications installed on them
ePod (provided by SmartTrans ala ESRI) and MobiControl (SOTI)
One of the devices had some locking up problems so after diagnosing I performed a hard reset, only to find that the problems persisted.
Additionally it was also showing graphical glitches on the home screen but not on any other screen and the soft buttons at the bottom of the screen did not change when moving between applications or tabs.
Upon a little more digging I discovered that the MobiControl program has persisted through multiple hard resets AND a ROM change to a lower Telstra ROM (1.49).
How can I completely wipe the device and put a fresh Telstra ROM on?
This is driving me nuts
Thanks for any advice!
you could try to Task 29 it.
Hello,
I've been struggling with a problem for about 5months and finally rationalized what happens and now seek a fix. Yes, sometimes the device is slow. It can go about 3days w/o need for reboot, but if I sense it slow, I bounce it cleanly.
My HD2 will freeze, by itself left alone, or after charging, or while in use. A battery pull reset will only get me past this. At first I thought it might have to do with low storage space but it occurs even after clearing space and bouncing.
When the device boots from the pulled battery, it gives the time & date of the last time I had to pull the battery (say 3 days ago). This is consistent on each occurrence. It seems on the battery pull, the device looks to the registry or some other pointer to the date/time rather than the device hardware clock.
Once the unit boots, if I don't notice, it want to attach to my phone provider, and in the logic of the negotiation, the unit freezes as it cannot sync with the phone provider as the date/time is not in line with their connect criteria.
FIX is boot device, do not enable phone radio, set time & date manually, enable radio for phone and a sync can be done to enable phone system time synced.
The question is, What can I do to stop this sloppy phone from going back in time, or crashing on me when I want to make a simple call?
I think a tweak of some sort has to be in place to enable the negotiation with the phone provider as well.
using WM65, the boot screen gives:
R 2.15.50.14
G 15.42.50.11U
D 1.66.76641
&
device program storage now: 180MB free
device storage now: 50MB free
card storage now: 350MB free
I've had this unit a year now, and recently started using the LeoCpuSpeed at 998MHz thinking it might help functionality.
thanks in advance,
_h
still happens, any fix?

SOrry if you already mentioned it, are u using custom or stock ROM?
Sometime, registry tweaks might cause those problems.
I would suggest you to flash the CORRECT STOCK ROM and see if those problems still persist. If yes, there might be defect/damaged to any of the components of your device
